I certainly have not seen those yet. Incredible.

Matriar 06-23-2006 07:29 AM

Yeah. Just incredible. :D

Do you know about statues of Stranger's Wrath? I just wonder.

To the best of my knowledge, no statues were made for SW because the technology had progressed to the point that it wasn't necessary.

I once found some more oddworld statues. Sorry. I'm always interfering...

Do you know where is that scrab stature is situated...I wouldn't mind having a picture taking with it :D

Matriar 06-24-2006 11:54 AM

I just found this picture here.

But there was this Stranger statue, wasn't it?

Nate 06-25-2006 05:27 AM

It was a brass statue made for OWI's own enjoyment at the end of production. The other statues were made to be scanned for the 3d models of the characters.

Matriar 06-25-2006 06:12 AM

Okay.

You mean this one?

I DO have many more that I just found on the internet, but I'm not sure if they are the work of the Brothers. I'll just post them anyway.

I know that the Abe is, but now sure of the rest.

And of course, two of them aren't working... I'll fix it later, I have no time right now, sorry.

Xavier 06-26-2006 06:23 AM

I still have a bunch of pictures from inside the studio...
I should put them up somewhere :p

Lord Vulcher 06-26-2006 09:37 AM

I suppose you can find anything Xavier.

Cullen Heath 08-11-2006 01:14 PM

Just recieved some more pictures.

Enjoy!

Xavier 08-11-2006 01:22 PM

already had the first one, but second one is cool :)

Matriar 08-12-2006 05:12 AM

Great pictures!

Dark Elite_H2 08-12-2006 06:24 AM

My odd! I adore the Slog, Paramite, Elum, Slig....pretty much all of the statues! They're very impressive!
Sadly, they're only for production work, yes?

Xavier 08-12-2006 08:25 AM

yes they are... and I don't think owi would let them go ;)

Oh, no. That wouldn't ever happen.:p

Matriar 08-13-2006 12:53 AM

I guess they're staying in a safe or something now. I can fancy that they're worth that much.

Xavier 08-13-2006 12:58 AM

well I'm not sure, those statues used to be more some kind of decoration/inspiration pieces the last years, so I don't see the point hiding them in a safe. :p

Matriar 08-13-2006 01:15 AM

I would hide them in that safe overnight, when the studio is empty. Well... I'm also crazy about things like statues, pictures and so forth. I never could bear if they will be stealed by some crazy and sick thieves.

Yes, the people are sick these days...!

Matriar 08-13-2006 03:26 AM

Yes, they are.

I can fancy that they're worth that much.

Like a lot of things in a materialistic/symbolistic society, they're probably only worth something to fans and artists that impose sentimental or inspirational qualities to them. Their actual cultural/monetary worth is a lot lower than any of us would be prepared to pay for them.

Nate 08-13-2006 05:52 PM

Strictly speaking, the monetary worth of anything is the largest amount anyone would be prepared to pay for it. Which would make them quite valuable but probably not enough to put them in a safe.

typhonblue 08-13-2006 06:31 PM

Someone needs to post a larger pic of that Stranger statue.

That's one foxy critter right there. Mmm-hmm.

Xavier 08-14-2006 12:02 AM

I'm not sure someone on this forums has a larger pic of it.
I didn't see any studio photo after those were finished.

Alright then, their objective monetary worth, linked closely to their practical value.

I gotta say I would love to see more detailed photos of all of these works they are incredibly well crafted, but so poorly photo-catalogued.
