Instead of Scrabs, do you mean? Or is each screen based on one creature, either Scrab or Paramite?
Either way, that explains the picture. A shot from the PC version. So I suppose that not many people have or have played the PC version to know the differences, because it took a long time for that piece of information to come up.

Slaveless 06-11-2006 12:28 PM

No, I mean seriously, I play AO on PC, and there are no Paramites until Paramonia Temple. That clip was from an old copy of AO that never got onto the shelves of gaming stores.

Right. No Paramites in stockyards that we can see. There are probably not any Paramites in the part we see in the game because there would most likely only be one and 1 doesnt attack abe unless you corner it, Scrabs however...

My lasy post was being written while you posted or something. Dunno. Oops.

there is no difference between the PS an PC version of AO and AE, except for the fact that the PS version of AO has the Guardian Angel movie. Aside the different controls, nothings different. there may be a bit more movies in the PS version of AE then the PC, but I don't have the PC version

Jordan 06-13-2006 08:04 AM

I have the PC version of AE, there are the same amount of movies as in the PS version. Some cheats aren't on AE for the PC that were on the PS version, and the PC version is faster than the PS version.

No, the PC itself is faster than the PS

Yes, I know that, but the gameplay is smoother and faster than the PS, like some games ported from the PS to the PC aren't faster.

The only real differences between AO on the PC and PS are the different font used for LED screens and the diamond logo that pops up in the PC version when Abe reaches a checkpoint. Other than that, the gameplay runs a bit better on the PC, but the movies are in better quality on the PS version.

Jordan 06-14-2006 11:37 PM

Yeah, that's it! But when you save Mudokons on AE for the PC, the chime is different, not sure about AO though, I haven't got that for the PC yet...

I wanna see the Abe oddysee guardian angel movie, all i've heard from a friend was that he says "life's not fair when everybody wants to eat you..." and it shows everything that can eat Abe eating Abe.

Zerox 06-15-2006 05:39 AM

Its on the AO disc if you use the right code. Its easy enough to find if you use Google or summat. It used to work fine when I was borrowing it once when I was little. The movie is messing up now a bit, though, when I recently-ish bought it off Ebay. Also the movie where the Sligs knock Abe out and carry him off, it messes up at the beggining and I normally have to skip it.

Jordan 06-15-2006 05:54 AM

The guardian angel creeped me out a bit, was Abe still working at Rupture Farms at the time of the Guardian Angel movie?

Nate 06-15-2006 07:18 AM

It was only a promotional movie so it doesn't fit in with the plot of the game per se. But you could say that it probably occured after Abe's capture but before Molluck came into his cell.

Jordan 06-15-2006 07:36 AM

Oh yeah!! Silly me! Wonder why it aint on the PC version of AO?

Zerox 06-15-2006 11:28 AM

AO, not AE. It was origianlly meant to be an advert, but was never used. Plus I thought Abe might've died there, because it gives the impression as it moves towards him with the blades, saws etc.

Jordan 06-15-2006 11:38 AM

I meant AO I'll edit my post, soz about that :S

Lord Vulcher 06-26-2006 08:17 AM

Yeah, I noticed that too. I didn't see any paramites either. Maby its a hidden level or somthing.

I don't think so. Probably a production error.

Zerox 06-26-2006 08:50 AM

I think the mistake has been sorted out now. Someone can probably close this.

Yeah, it needs closing, someone close it please!

Agreed. However it is up to the Moderators whether they close it or not.

magic9mushroom 06-30-2006 01:36 AM

1. It is not in any part of the game that can be accessed, but may be in a deleted level that is part of the file(like Toddtest and similar in Morrowind)
2. If you want it closed, stop posting and it will die

magic9mushroom 07-03-2006 11:35 PM

It's only for the PS version.

Zerox 07-04-2006 01:30 AM

Maybe you lot should read page 1, that has the answers there, rather than people not reading it and making new posts with the same information over and over. Oy...

Bullet Magnet 07-04-2006 03:50 AM

You can get it if you save all 99 scrubs.

leocrow 07-04-2006 05:03 PM

why does everyone assume i do not read what came before? i read most of the things being written in here, despite not writing often.

i assumed he meand about searching for the video on google, not how to access it. i know how to access it, if i had the playstation version and a playstation. i was asking about an online version. all i found was a very old topic from this place on google, where someone said about having it on his site, but the site does not exist any more. anyway, since i am offtopic, i will stop and i apologize for not making myself clear enough
