I saw the ending was left open. Well it did not show a piece move at all :s. I certainly didn't see it. You could take it as he has regained his powers back or attempting to try to see if he is still human. I recall the way ian mckellen acted. |
I just saw the movie last night, and I have some minor problems with it:
1.Juggernaut's costume sucked. 2.The writing was pretty stupid to me. 3.They didn't back up the mutant's backstories. 4.They killed off and ended too many characters. 5. It was kindof creepy to see Iceman have a little relationship with Shadowcat, on the account that she looked like she was only 12. 6. My favorite character, Nightcrawler, disappeared!:( Besides that, everything was fine. It was fun to watch Hank and Logan fight together. When I weant in to watch it, I would completely understand that it would completely kill the infinate storyline of the comics. I don't think this is the last Xmen movie becuase they kindof left a plot hole. |
yes, most people were disappointed by the Juggernaut thing
in the movie they didn't make him Xav's Bro for reasons beyond my powers, and and they made him an actual mutant probably because they wanted to make it more realistic. I'm sorry, Magic rock? Corny, eh? I liked the movie SPOILER but I don't think Cyclops is coming back, cuz, like when he woke up, you'd think the Xmen could find him by look for a giant lazor beam flying up into the sky. |
how'd this double post happen?
|
:
|
well, if you stayed after the credits, which I didn't, you saw a
MAJOR SPOILER!!!!!!!!!!!!!! part where Xavier put his mind into that vegetable guy from earlier in the film from when he was teaching his class |

Almost as amazing as the way that this was mentioned about five times already in this thread. You're my hero. [/shitty sarcastic mood] |
so, I can still put the spoiler warning there, so purists can avoid it no matter how many times it's been said.
|
I wasn't criticising the spoiler warning dude.
*sigh* |
i know I know, but still, I didn't read the thread all the way through and didn't see how many times it was there
|
Well, that's your problem right there, dude.
|
exactly, back to topic
I personally think the movie rocked no matter what anybody says. and there is enough stuff to make a sequel |
Yeah I'd like a sequel. If the Star Wars series was 6 movies why shouldn't X-Men be?
|
:
just to add, it is rumoured to have a x4. Maybe the appearance of Apoclaypse. |
"Maybe the appearance of Apoclaypse."
No. No. No. No. No. In a couple of years they should do a remake. Look what happened with the Batman franchise! Two GREAT movies and then after that it was laughable! Wait a few years, is what they should do, and then remake the whole lot with Apocalypse as the up and coming bad guy. A sort of thing where Magneto thinks he's the Cat's Pjama's, and tries to take on Apocalypse, but then Apoc is just all "No, daft lad" and gives him a back-hander. |
What's Apocalypse's story?
|
I've never read the comics, but from what i understand there's an Alternative Dimension storyline called 'The Age of Apocalypse'. Obviously, they can miss that part out. ...as well as the whole thing of him being part Alien technology, part Mutant.
But Apocalypse is basically the oldest Mutant there is, born in Egypt. "Apocalypse's story begins with his birth in mid-30th century BC ancient Egypt during the First Dynasty. He was born disfigured in the settlement of Akkaba and abandoned in the desert to die. He was the last child born in the settlement before the nomad raiders, the Sandstormers, slaughtered the area's population. Their leader, Baal, found the child and considered it to have the potential to be a god. He raised the child as his own. He named the child En Sabah Nur ("The First One"- see below) in anticipation of others like him. The tribe lived and died by the philosophy of survival of the fittest (with "fittest" being defined as toughest, most ruthless and pitiless). En Sabah Nur earned the right to adulthood at seventeen by surviving an endurance test in the desert. He and Baal were the only Sandstormers to survive when General Ozymandias attacked their camp. They found refuge in nearby caves, but Baal was killed when the cave he was in collapsed. En Sabah Nur, however, escaped to the surface, only to be enslaved." ...it then goes off into Time Travelling shenanijinks and the like, but the film could have it so that Apocalypse was buried by the Egyptians who enslaved him, fearing his disfigurement. Yadda-yadda-yadda, Centuries later he emerges all "Roar" and the like. |
Exactly what powers did Apocalypse have?
|
Hmm, advanced extraterrestrial equipment giving him the ability to take huge amounts of punishment, super strength, and the ability to alter the mass and density of objects...
2 minutes at wikipedia to verify. Yup, he's a more bad ass supervillain form of Colossus. SPOILERS: How do you manage to screw up a friggin' Pyro/Iceman battle? |
:
Yeah jacob, your right. This should make a remake of the x3.I am sure that someone spotted earliar. The director(s) follow the same plot war/cure. It would been nice if this broke the chain. Humans and mutant working together to take on apoc. Or least the introduce the mad scientist who put mass of tiny airships and sentinels running mock. |
Bastion would be an interesting character to introduce, as well. Just a more realistic version - like instead of having all the complications of the comic, just have him as a Droid built to destroy mutants.
Hmmm... |
I've seen this movie and I think it is really cool.
|
yeah...that is good. Something different to break the regimme of mutant fighting humans all the time.
BUT There in the beginning of the movie where the students: ice man, kitty and rogue were training in the danger room. Was this to introduce the sentinels for their next movie. Could this be the whole robot droid thingy you were thinking about? |
And how would they know what the Sentinels looked like?
|
Nah, the Sentinel introduced was an Easter Egg for the fans, as was the whole Danger room content, which always got scrapped from the original scripts.
|
Are the Sentinels really important or something?

They used to hunt Mutants in the comics, i think, and in the animated series. Bastion was, like, the head Sentinel. Quite coolio looking.
