Alcar- You have completely confused the point of the law. Shit, you've confused the law. It is not illegal for two 13 year olds to have sex. It isn't illegal for a 15 and 13 year old to have sex. It IS illegal for a 30 year old and a 15 year old to have sex. Now, I get it. You're a young guy and you feel like you're just the shit. You think that you have more than enough understanding of what life is to make decisions like that on your own. The fact that you think that proves that you have a lot of growing up left to do.

Over here in Britain it IS illegal for a two underage people to have sex. The older one involved is labelled a 'rapist' and if both the boy and girl are the same age, the male is usually labelled the 'rapist.'

And that right there is the point I tried to make a few points back. When you're 14 you think you know everything. When you're 16 you think you're king of the world. While you're not.

Sure, if two 13 year olds want to have sex, be my guest. But you're not gonna tell me that those two kids are having sex because they love each other so much. When you're 13, you hardly have a clue what sex is all about, let alone understand half of it.

Over here I think the law is something along the lines of no age of consent for boys, but girls have to be 16. I also think that if two 14 year olds have sex it's fine but the girl has the power to at anytime say that it was rape and the boy will be done for it.

Butt seriously, I always thought even if you were under the age of 16 you could still have sex if they are not over 18. In Australia anyway. Heaps of people at our school (well the ones who aren't bullshitting) have had sex and they're under the age of 18.

Ok being a parent and reading all of this I'd like to say there are many good points here.

I really think, in my opinion, that 16 is the right age for the age limit. You are old enough to know what sex is and old enough to grasp the concept of some sort of responsibility. People will have sex when they decide to whether they are educated enough or not. Be it 10, 12, 14 or later it's that persons choice (assuming it's consentual) so I really don't think it would matter much anyway.
I don't think the laws mentioned upon the opening of this topic should be passed. That just seems very scary and icky. They sound like a bunch of dirty, vile and disgusting old horny men.
