I can't wait for Yoshi's Island 2. Yoshi is he best!
|
Well, Halo 3 IS the last of the trilogy :P
|
Until Halo 4 comes along, that is...
*thinks of the Hitchhiker's Guide trilogy in five parts* |
I must be the only one in the world thinking that Spore looks overhyped and overshit. I mean, how long has it been in the collective conciousness?
|
:
not having to reload/replay missions because of screwing up is a total plus. and blending into the crowd makes the game seem more realistic. Too bad it comes out 2007 |
too bad it's PS3 only... I don't want to buy that expencive thing
and yes, Spore is overhyped |
:
|
didn't they also said that there were not working on Halo3 :p
|
:
And yes, Assassin's Creed looks five kinds of kick ass. And I have a feeling it will be ported to the 360. I've heard rumors that it was actually running on a 360 with a third-party PS3 controller at E3. Just speculation, yes, but I can dream. |
They never said that, iirc. They just didn't say what they were working on...
|
When I watched last year's E3 on G4, I saw segments for the Wii(revolution) and I became extremely disappointed(they barely showed anything at the nintendo press conference), but extremely excited for Zelda: Twilight Princess.
This year, I am extremely excited! It looked really cool and innovative, and Super Smash Brothers: Brawl looked awesome! Kid Icarus and Solid Snake!! Awesomeness in a bag!!:D PS3:I enjoyed watching the MGS4 trailer, only I'm not happy about playing as Raiden again, and Snake put a frickin' gun in his mouth! Heavenly Sword looks cool, but they didn't show much. Everything else was 'meh' for me. 360: The Halo 3 demo looked cool, and Im glad we'll be using the assault rifle again. Gears of war looked awesome, especially the close range chainsaw element. Spore looks completely amasing. It's gonna bring the god- factor to the enth degree. It's time to start saving up.... |
spore concept sure looks cool
but the game realy has to have nice gameplay and fun missions not only a terrific concept makes a great game |

|
I have a vague memory - I don't know where from or how accurate it is - of someone official saying Spore would be multiplatform.
They were advertising for a DS programmer a while back so rumour has it that there will at least be a DS port. |
I heard mixed reviews about Halo 3 and it's hype. Many people said "This is gonna suck" but then people are so hyped up about it. Well, what do you guys think, is it gonna suck?
|
:
And I don't see any indication that it couldn't be on any next-gen console, although knowing that Sims guy, it will probably be only for PC. At least at first. Why are you being so damn negative about the game when you haven't even seen that much about it? You just hear other people liking the game and it automatically turns you off. :p |
Aye, SM is what I like to call a pre-mo.
Hehe. That was the dumbest ****ing thing I've ever said. It's not even entirely sensical. Oh dear, one acid drop too many, I suppose. And aye, Spore looks great in terms of customization and things, and the coding appears to be absolute genius. |

But the way some people hype things like this, it's insane. I did see the Spore creature editor recently, where you formed the body from a metaball type thing. It does look intuative, but the hype, agh! Hype kills things. Example: Daikatana. :

Perhaps a better example would have been Munch's Oddysee. |
I don't really see what's so great about Spore.
The games I was interested in seeing were Zelda: Twilight Princess and Viva Pinata. Both look rather interesting. And kudos to Nintendo, at first I was rather taken back by the Wii, including its name, but I really think they've chosen to do the right thing. Very original, and oh-so innovative. Alcar... |
Yeah, I am hoping for big things with Nintendo this time. I didn't like the Gamecube whatsoever, but I think they could do some really innovative stuff with this.
The main thing that has pissed me off so much about E3 was the announcement of no vibration in the PS3 controller. That's what my friends have said anyway, if anyone wants to correct me I would absolutely love it. |
No it's true. They claim it's because it would interfere with the motion sensing (the Wii doesn't have the same problem because they're using external sensors) but most people think it's just because they recently lost a lawsuit against Immersion, who sued them for patent infringment on the vibration doodad in the PS2. Immersion recently said that it is doable with the motion sensing - but Sony would have to drop their appeal against the ruling before they would tell them how. As stated here.
|
Bwahaha, silly Sony...
|
God dammit. You don't realise how much it adds to games until you don't have it. And I don't want a really light controller either, it'll just remind me of the original PS1 controller which was horrible before the Dualshock was implemented.
|
Indeed, I never liked the flimsy PSOne controllers. Same goes for the new Xbox360 controllers. I was so used to the heavy, bulky "Duke", that, when I got the new one, it was like there was nothing in my hands.
|
Yeah, I prefer the 'duke' as well. Although that name is not known to me. It's referred to 'The Beef' amongst my friends.
