Working from memory, AO and AE officially used the same engine but it had been tweaked for AE. Munch used the A.L.I.V.E.2 engine. Stranger didn't say but then most companies don't advertise their engines the way OWI have. They were just trying to make the point with the quintology games that their characters felt alive and aware.

Seeing this consider the question...

Will this be taken into account by OWI?

If so then I will consider in choosing what expect to see. I dont want pressure at OWI. Cause the game has to be good and enjoyable. Better than Munch's Oddysee and Stranger's Wrath put together. :3

The Stranger engine was once refered to as the Stranger Engine. Whether that was it's name or just a literal description, I don't know. I like it as a name.

It's a shame OWI keep building their game engines with the intent to use them on multiple games, but keep having to forget about them (A.L.I.V.E. 2 for Hand of Odd, the Stranger Engine for Fangus). You have to respect their foresight.

I reckon they should bring back the horror and utter evil of AO. That one gave me nightmares, but those games are not meant for 6-year-olds

An adventure game would be fantastic, but in the long-term, I think an Oddworld online RPG would be the icing on the cake. You take control of an industrialist or a natural inhabitant of your choosing and have goals to complete depending on what you have chosen. Perhaps vykkers have to capture natives for testing, Sligs have to collect parts for their pants, Mudokons have to break into industrialist bases to free their brethren, etc. It would certainly be awesome - just think of the possibilities. If it was made 'right' it's a game of the year contender.

Good idea but you would have to have a hell of a server and program

Put it online. Simple as that. I am thinking of Counter Strike, Unreal and Ragnarok. Oh not forgetting Storm Riders Online.

Read it carefully cause my english is not good.

Storm Riders Online
Its actually quite good. Unfornately they limit to the number of people in the server. Only down fall. Back to the point. In it you can change mods to your character and move them around in the environment. What good about this one is that its in 3rd person in 4D prospective. So the camera pans around when you are fighting.

So to summerise it all. Oddworld: Hand of odd (online) would surely keep people on their toes while they wait for the movie. Limiting the problems will be that people will have their own aspect of mudokon/glukkon wotever. The server probably couldnt cope.
Problems
1. Limiting the numbers user
2. Bigger space
3. Hugh demand in scenry
4. We want more and more work for Lorne. As he may not just open it and let us it to our disposal
