:fuzemb: I still don't like spiders or snakes, but my sister loves snakes if she had the uppertunity she'd have an aqurium in her room full with those slimy critters... lucky me though my mom doesn't like snakes either so here's the results - no snakes.

I fear death, probably because I haven't done anything of any significance yet (IMHO).

I also fear internet acronyms.

AquaticAmbi 02-19-2006 03:41 PM

I find people conquering their phobias to be quite awesome. Kudos, Nate.

I have a phobia of flying, which I may be conquering this summer. For some reason, my mother has always had nightmares about plane crashes, and as a child, I did too. I've had a few in my teenage years too. But oh well?

Dave 02-19-2006 04:12 PM

Greatest fear?
Being snuck up on from behind and being stabbed in the back.
Why?
A. I hate when I can't hear someone sneaking up behind me, and I detest being surprised like that.
B. I don't like knives. Or the sensation of being cut. And I always feel vulnerable if my back isn't facing a wall.

Nate 02-19-2006 04:33 PM

I'm not a fan of being in a house at night all by myself. Similarly, when I'm lieing in bed at night I need to have a little light coming in the window so that I can see that no-one is creeping in to gut me. In fact, if I wear earplugs I also need to have my bedroom door locked because otherwise I get paranoid that someone could be sneaking in whilst my back is turned and I wouldn't hear.

I'm scared of any unnatural death, but not death itself. I belive in an afterlife so I'm not scared of dying of old age. Go heaven, go heaven, go heaven!:cheer:

HobbitNinj 02-20-2006 08:36 AM

Zombies... I am terrified of zombies. My parents used to play Resident Evil 2 all night long with the friggin volume way up while I was trying to go to sleep. I knew and still know that that they don't exist(duh:p) but every nightmare I have had since then has me trapped in some Dawn of the Dead situation. Being eaten alive... that is the worst way to go.

I, too, believe in an afterlife, where you get reincarnated. :p
Hobbitninj, when I was younger, my brother brought up the fact of vampires, and the movie we watched, I believe "The Lost Boys". He brought it up, and I got scared.
But my mom said they weren't real, o' course. But that gave me nighttmares that night.
I bet there were a lot of people on these forums who believed in those castlevanian creatures when they were younger.

AquaticAmbi 02-20-2006 09:57 AM

Eeh, zombies! I love zombie movies, but oh how the crazy thought of "What if they were real?" frightens me!

Actually, it's the thought of anything generally harmless alone but dangerous in large numbers that scares me. One zombie? No big deal; just shoot its head. A few little ants? Who cares. Hundreds and hundreds of flesh-eating zombies, ants, etc. = Bad. Very bad.

Back when I was little my mother went to see Phantom of the Opera and then came home and told us all about it. For months I was petrified that I was being stalked by some creepy guy in a cape whose face was so horrific that just one look could stop your heart (kinda like Medusa, I guess). Not to mention the fact that he was psychotic and even if I kept my eyes closed he would probably just gut me.

It took a lot of convincing to get me to see that show, even years later.

Coolmanbizkit 02-20-2006 11:58 AM

Long list coming up
1. Drowning (Even though i lve swimming)
2. Flying (Planes)
3. Losing people.
4. Death.
5. Murder (Falls into the death catogory)
6. Heights
7. Terrorist attacks

Theres proabbaly more to add. But yeah. Laugh all you want.

Slaveless 02-20-2006 02:57 PM

Oh, yeah, I'm afraid of losing my family members. That's all I have to add.

Paramite Mask 02-20-2006 03:27 PM

Myriad of fears and such.

I am afraid of an un - natural death, loss of family members I know well, and being drafted by George Bush to fight in Iraq. Also, if some sort of natural disaster hit my town, or a murderer stalking me. You know, that kind of stuff. Of course, none of these things will ever happen(I hope) I don't worry about a zombie plague, though. My shed has like 3 shovels, a lawn mower, and a pick axe. I just wouldn't like killing the animated corpses of my family members.( I am very emotional, and tears will ensue.) I also have a large wood carved walking stick in my room, so just a bash in the head 3 or 4 times would do fine., except if it was like a vst sea of zombies. Then I wold be dead. I think I had a dream about something like that happening after watching Shaun of the Dead. I three, am a big fan of the belief of life after death and reincarnation. That is what rocks about Hinduism. P.S: Sometimes when I'm home alone in my bed, I put the radio on because I can't stand silence when I'm alone. Somehow, no sound makes me paranoid and I start to hear voice repeating over and over in my head. The sound the news comforts me and I can sleep peacefully. Otherwise, when my family members are home, I feel good cause i can hear them, so there voice counts as conforting noise. Yep, I'm kinda complicated.:p

All these times this thread has been made and yet it still gets so many replies.

Pain. Even thinking of pain felt by someone else, even an animal, is enough to disturb me. Not to good in the middle of a Social Education class wqhich a bunch of obnoxious idiots all watching Saving Private Ryan and you feel like you're gonna throw up and faint thank youvery much. even worse in an assembly when your teacher's recounting that cheerful tale of the guy who got stuck when climbing in the Grand Canyon and had to hack his own arm off.

Death doesn't scare me cus I'm know I'm sorted afterwards. Painful death is a much less attractive thought. Watching a video of a bull-fight got me disturbed once.

I agree with you about pain and school and such. I also do not fear death that much, for the sole reason that it will eventusally happen to all of us, no matter what we try to prevent it, so there's no point in fearing it. but those are just my beliefs. I like to think of death like going to sleep, you don't know when you go to sleep, right? So you porbabluy don't realise when you die, because, well, you're dead. :p

Yeah, those people with white coats and are in a white room is freakish to me as well. So if they were stabbed, the blood would make the most attention. That what makes me very scared in those kind of horror films.

Alector 02-23-2006 11:50 AM

My greatest fear is to get a disease, which I can't draw anymore or to get blind.

I love spiders and snakes, they are cute :D

Hmm, I would have expected not getting a heart transplant in time would be one of your biggest fears. Seeing how completely lied about it before.

Another onre of my fears is having to be drafted into war. That would suck, considerably.

Biggy Bro Slig 02-26-2006 12:22 AM

Dying of Radiation.

AHAR!

Well, I'm scared of that Black Adder Goes Fourth episode where Slackbladder pretends to go have gone insane. When Baldrick was making the coffee and making the spitting noises, I had no ****ing idea what was goinng on. I thought my TV was possesed by the demon Possum king.

Sekto Springs 03-05-2006 11:53 AM

Sometimes I'm afraid that I'm a paranoid skizophrenic and that the whole world is my fantasy, and the fact that I'm thinking that thought is because I think I'm a paranoid skizophrenic when I'm really not.

mitsur 03-05-2006 11:54 AM

Suffocating to death. Either that or being eaten alive. I admit it, i've seen the part Saw where the guy gets ripped open waaaay to many times.

Havoc would probably like that as long as it was a tiger eating him, though.

Well, that too, but Baldrick was still pretty scary.
