To let them understand and see more of Oddworld ,I could agree with.

To keep the gamers busy while they work on other projects. No I dont get it cause then they could just work on that project instead.

Well, I guess that's what Lorne decided to do. But it didn't last fer long, 'cause the game wasn't long...

Cullen Heath 12-22-2005 02:24 PM

I know, I beat it in a week. Munch's Oddysee took me about 3 weeks, see that another reason wht it was so good.

And, hmyah we go:

:

...it meant that he wanted to step away from the Quintology emotionally until he felt technology progressed enough for him to feel he could express his epics sufficiently.

And for me, Munch's Oddysey took me longer to beat, but only because I was much less enchanted with it than I was with SW, so I didn't play it in huge time increments.

I'm devistated as well. And so are the other oddworldian fans 'round 'ere. We all with that the OWI shouldn't of went off on us like that, and they said they would do the quintology. Or have they? Lemme see...AO, AE, MO, SW....that's four games...quint is four...damn...I'm lost

the prefix "quint-" means five....

Wow MAx.... I never knew OWI aren' in the movie industry also.... Well thanks for clearing that up. They are stiill in business and that is all that matters. So calm down Skillya. Don't worry about the company they know what they are doing.

hopefully.

Don't triple post, especially when it's nothing but one-liner spammishness.

I think what skillya_glowi is missing is that you can copy and paste multiple quotes into one posting, so you don't have to have three seperate posts when you are quoting three seperate messages.

Please don't dubble or triple post skillya_glowi...

I realy need to do a page with all the articles related to what OWI is doing right now so everyone would hav a global vision of what's going on?

Scrubs 12-23-2005 04:49 AM

I read an interesting interview in which Lorne said they had about a two and a half year period to make a successful transition into movies/tv.
One thing he did mention though was that there still could be OW games, but it would be on the back of a movie deal, so a movie and a game coming out troughly the same time. This would just be like how Pixar and THQ?? work, Pixar releases The Incredibles then THQ releases a game based on the film around roughly the same time.

In terms of how it would work at OWI is that they come up with a script, plot, characters for a movie then get an animation studio to do the actual production side of it while OWI overseas the project. The same applies to a game.

So the OWI headquaters in San Fran is the Hub of ideas, stories, characters and creativity, and they are letting other quality studios produce it for them.

I think this is really interesting stuff, and i'm super buzzed to see what they are coming up with. I think OWI has a real chance of making this work because they were/are seen as more of a brand, brand OW, than just another game company because they created and own all there IP.

Nate how do you do that???
I aways see it done but can only do one at a time???
SORRY FOR BEING OFFTOPIC, I just really need to know this.

Just type

and put the text in between the tags. You can do this as many times as you like in a post. You can even ‘nest’ them so you can quote people quoting other people, should there be a need to.

Cullen Heath 12-23-2005 09:44 AM

I dont get it.
I dont know what you mean because I cant go back after one post and do another one and I cant remember the second persons whole quote.

Wil 12-23-2005 09:47 AM

Try going into your user CP and activating Quick Posts. Then a bar appears at the bottom of every thread where you can type your posts in without having to click ‘reply’ to be taken to a different screen.

And when you do press ‘post’, the last 30 posts should be displayed below the entry field.

Nate 12-23-2005 11:55 AM

Or just do what I do. Right click on the 'Quote' button and open in a new window/tab. Copy the resulting quoted text (it's good form to edit it down to just the sentence or two that you are responding to) into the reply box in the main message. Wash, rinse and repeat.

Skillya_glowi, to add two posts together, just click the edit button on the bottom of your first post, type what you want to and click 'save changes' at the bottom.
