It be the necrophilia of cinema. And no one likes the concept of raping corpses. :p

Ho hum! I said this exact thing in a previous movie thread.

And the 1933 version was fine, without the spider scene.

I hate added on crap as much as the next person, but you have to admit, GIANT BUGZ IS TEH KEWLMNESS!

Now what I think they SHOULD remake is to Kill a Mocking Bird. *prepares to be smited* And if ther do, they better not get oine of the shitty directors like Christopher Columbus. He is the Michael Jackson of cimema. Steven Spielberg would do a good job IMO, Shcindler's List was spectacular and so were many of his other films.

OANST 12-19-2005 01:45 PM

But noone could possibly do a better job than Gregory Peck. It's like remaking Willy Wonka (I'm talking to you Tim Burton) There is no possible way that you could do a better job so why even attempt it.

Cullen Heath 12-19-2005 02:03 PM

:

4.50! If Jackson wants to make back his money He's gonna have to charge a lot more than that! 4.50, thats equivilent to £2.40, here (IOM) it's roughly £6 to see a movie at the cinema. You lucky people!

Haha! Sucks for you! Thats like 12 dollars to see a movie!

Al the Vykker 12-19-2005 08:50 PM

I'm still planning on seeing this new version of Kong soon enough. However, its interesting that the past few years and present time, every movie seems to be a remake now.

Yeah because Hollywood has literally run out of ideas! It has to be something never seen before in the sci-fi/ fantasy ganra that must be attempted. I think if I was a story writer which I want to be plus illustrator I guess that person would have to do a little research on what people want to see in regards to sci-fi/ fantasy.

Cullen Heath 12-20-2005 09:20 PM

Im going to see it tomorrow. If you want, Ill tell everyone how it was and if you should see it.

Shrink 12-21-2005 10:18 AM

It's not the lack of ideas that is the problem.

metroixer 12-21-2005 12:33 PM

Shrink is possibly right. It's not the ideas. It's how they USE the ideas.

Shrink 12-21-2005 05:01 PM

Well, that isn't what I was saying.

There are ideas, but they're not used.
Producers are more interested in guaranteed hits, which means sequels and remakes.
Like the gaming industry.

Cullen Heath 12-21-2005 09:04 PM

I just got back from it and it was SWEET BIATCH!
I loved it and I think you all need to see it soon. It was exelently made and the animation was great!:spin:
My friend really enjoyed it as well.

Little spoiledge:
Did anyone who saw it like the sceen where Kong and the 3 t-rexes are fighting or the one where the stampede came? Those were by far my favorite sceens.

Leto 12-22-2005 10:51 AM

You don't make spoilers large and bolded in most cases, Cullen.

I think that they could've lost the stampede scene entirely, it served no point. The movie could and should have been cut down to an hour and a half, easily. Pretty much lose the first hour and blubbings.

Cullen Heath 12-22-2005 11:29 AM

Yeah actually you should so people can know that you should be careful about reading it. And should not give spoilers without warnings that they are spoilers.

Leto 12-22-2005 11:43 AM

Commonly, small child, the text is made the same colour as the background, in order ti hide it, or simpley just a smaller text size; Perhaps a '' type thing, but never bigger and bolder than the rest of the text, as when text is big and bold it desires attention; it's commonly the thing people see first, as it is eye-catching.

What the fuck are they teaching children these days?

Cullen Heath 12-22-2005 11:49 AM

Well if I would have done it that way would not have noticed it.
Sorry Ill do it that way next time.

Leto 12-22-2005 11:53 AM

O-ho-ho! :D My my, boys and girls, the boy speaks! He's a modern day Bill Hicks I tells ya!

I really, I am sorry, I tip my hat to you, young boy. Har!

Just kill yourself when you become goth next year, child. It'll be the best thing since sliced anus.

Abe 01 12-24-2005 03:50 AM

In my opinion the start was boring and too long, the jungle parts where great but it seemed to have a rushed ending, the worst part was when that corny guy said 'it wasnt the planes what killed the beast, it was beuty' i laughed how corny that was

Cullen Heath 12-24-2005 07:28 AM

I liked that part, I thought it was cool.
First off, did you understand that part?

metroixer 12-24-2005 09:14 AM

I did. It technically means that King Kong died because he was in love with (OH MYGOD SPOLIAHZ1!1!!1) Ann. It makes a lot of sence really.

Cullen Heath 12-24-2005 09:44 AM

I know, I understood it too, I was just wondering if abe01 did.

Kimon 12-24-2005 11:27 AM

I just saw it, and it was great. Not spectacular, but definetly worth the money. I liked it bunches.

Cullen Heath 12-24-2005 12:01 PM

Awesome, huh?

What was your favorite part.
Was'nt the animation of kong just exellent?

Kimon 12-24-2005 12:05 PM

Yes, Andy Serkis did a great job. I rather liked the whole aborigine cannibal people bit. Very cool.

Cullen Heath 12-24-2005 12:07 PM

Oh, man. That part freaked me out. Exept for the part when he offered the Nestle chocolate, that was funny.

used:) 12-27-2005 01:48 PM

I just saw it last night. Quite good actually and much better than I assumed. What I disliked the most however was the contantly shaking camera angles when Kong rampages through the city. It gave me a headache.

Icarus 12-27-2005 04:38 PM

i got the Bootlegged version on DVD

Cullen Heath 12-27-2005 05:49 PM
