Well, I don't hate him. (I don't hate anyone, really. But there are some people that I almost feel that way about. They aren't on any forums, but just in the real world in general. ;)). I think that people were kind of annoyed, though. I don't think that he should just quit so easily, but he needs to watch what kinds of threads he makes here (the 1337 thread was just kind of pointless, if I must say so myself.). That was more than likely why people were annoyed. ;)

I always say "Love the Sinner, Hate the Sin". So in this case, whilst we may hate Squeeshe for his 1337iness, we still love him for who he is. Or at least we would if he'd made more than 7 posts before deciding that we hate him when no-one said any such thing.

Eh... but yea. I don't HATE the guy... but I could at least say that my first impression of him isn't all that good. And not be sound like some wise ass, but bad impressions are rather hard to turn around with me, cuz I will always remember someone for their first impression, unless I forget it.

It's mainly going around on forums and games, sometimes even in IM convo's.
The only leetspeak I sometimes use is n00b, w0t, lolz0r, and ofcourse the famous LOL, ROFL, LMFAO and WTF.

Well, at least he left before he was ripped to shreds by rabid leet-haters. It would have been messy. Who know's what would have happened if Rich hadn't gotten to the leet topic in time...Good by squeeshe, and if you come back, don't use leet, for your own sake as well as ours.

Just because I'm feeling nice: leet was invented in the early days of online communication by hackers and other technologically competent individuals so that only members of their 'club' could understand what they were saying. Thus it's purpose was similar to that of Cockney rhyming slang and other similar codes. As time wore on, more and more people picked up on it and now it is mostly used by 12 year old wankers who want to sound cool and don't realise that anyone who has any right to call themselves elite refuses to use it any more.
