Ron White is funny as hell, though.

Yeah, he's cool. I have a DVD on 'im. I just love the joke of the tater salad thing. "Satellites are linkin' up in outter space. There's a telegram in Texas goin' beep beep bleep boop...) yer get the idea. And my friend especially laughed at the totally random joke of, "You ever taken a terd so big yer pants fit again?" She was laughing her eyes out, saying that was so random. He's a pretty cool guy.
|
Dark Elite, I just want you to know that what I'm about to say isn't directed at you. It's just that what you wrote reminded me of something that has been bothering me for awhile. Has anyone else noticed that emo's have completely ruined the word random. I get so irritated with having children in black clothes walking around saying "How random was that?" "Omg, that's so random." It makes me want to murder me some trendy children.
|
I dont want to cause arguments (I hate them personally) but what have you got against emos exactly?.......Don't want to get off topic but I am curious
|
I have something against anyone who conforms to an alternative "style" and then calls themselves a nonconformist. They are trendy and because they don't realize it that makes them 1,000 times more stupid than the kid wearing Abercrombie and Fitch. At least he knows that he is just fitting in. I hate when people try to "be" something. Just be, for god's sake.
|
I feel that they wear what they do or act the way they act is because they don't want to fit in, that's why my friend became an Emo, she's still a good friend, just dressed differently. I agree about the adopting a "style", but it doesnt make them any more stupid. And really if you want to stand out in a crowd put some make up on (like I do :D, I'm not a hardcore transvesitite, I put it on because I got sick of people telling me how I should dress and how I should 'present' myself, your going to die anyway just do whatever you want)

The two ronnies.
Norman Wisdom lives about 20 miles north of me. His house is called BallaLAUGH. He he. |
I'm not saying that adopting a style makes a person stupid. However, adopting a style and then claiming to be different or a nonconformist does make a person stupid. I just don't like it when people do things because they think it's cool. I also hate when people dress completely in black with eyeshadow and shit and then get upset when people look at or talk shit about them. They know that the only reason they went out of the house looking like this was to either turn heads or piss people off. My biggest problem with this honestly is the stupidity factor. At some point in a persons life you have to grow up and realize that you can't play dress up forever. You are not a fuucking vampire. You are an adult with the mind of a child is all. A selfish, whiny little bastard who will never be anything more than a walking joke.
|
I am agreeing with you on some points, but don't asume just because people are dressed the way they are are that they're children or such, and not all goths, emos are vampires or whatever, they are normal people.
|
I agree. I'm sure that there are some people who really just feel more comfortable dressed like that. But I think that the highest percentage is just trendy little turds.

Back ontopic befo'e Rich comes and warns yo' asses! He will you know [I control him ^_~].
I would like to ask, who's the great forum comedian at the moment? I'd nominate OANST, about 90% of his posts have made me laugh and I think he should be praised! - Rexy |
Never! Alphascrab or havoc have my vote!
|
Damn your eyes, metroixer! You will follow the lead of the very wise and sagelike Rex Tirano. The Rex is obviously the correct person to lead the old and not so tasty revolution. By the time we are finished everyone will be wrinkly and slightly yellow colored. Just like me! Oh the glory! Oooooooohhhhhh the f'ing glory!

^ That post wasn't funny. It was mental. :p
|
See. That post had me papping myself laughing. :p

I might have tried a little too hard that time. That's the problem with saying that someone is funny. Now I feel obligated to be funny.

And for those of you who don't know anything about our Manx culture, about 99.99% of you, That's if you've even heard of the the 32 mile long Island right between England and Ireland, Balla is Manx Language for farm, and he lives on a farm, and a commen name on the Island for places is Balla: Ballabeg (Small Farm) Ballasalla (Working Farm) etc. So he called his house Ballalaugh as a laugh. I'll never forget that day when a 90 year old man came into assembly skipping and told us all to blow raspuries. When I told my Mum she just thought It was some stupid guy then she read it in the school newsletter. My Introduction to Norman Wisdom. Do you remember that BBS? |
I have avoided this thread like Gwarek 2 since it is called: 'Favourite comidans', but I have come in to find another Hicks fan. THANK SWEET JESUS. One other person in the universe who doesn't say "Who the **** is this Bill Hicks guy? Some salesman?".
BIG ****ING LIZARDS. So, yes, Bill Hicks is on my list. Otherwise, I'm not that big on standup. George Carlin is ok, but he has brainwashed my tender brother to be a completely anti-American bat-sard. ****ing New Zealanders, I hate them all. Heh heh heh... This pleases Goat Boy. |
Haha! Finally! Someone else who understands the beauty of a Bill Hicks monologue. Long live Hicks! Except that he's dead.
|
I like David Hughes's style of comedy. It's stupid humor, but it's good.

Officer Nigger Hater freaking kills me every time.
Hey, considering the passing of Pryor I'm going to give a big shout out to him. Very influential and hilarious. Lenny Bruce is pretty funny to me. The book, How To Talk Dirty and Influence People is amazing. Carlin's old bits are classic and the books are solid, though the new stuff is just a bit too "cranky mother****er" for my tastes. Good in small doses, and way over the top. Dangerfield is also pretty funny. It is a little dated, but he is like a king among one liner kings. Franken(unpopular choice, to be sure). You either get it or you don't is how I can sum it up. David Cross:Solid standup, his Funke role on Arrested Development was great, and I actually liked Run Ronnie Run. Others: Izzard, Williams, Winters, Hartman, Barry(the books are great), Kevin Smith(great dialogue). |
