'Farenheit' is the game that's apparently like an interactive movie. It looks and sounds really good, and something thats been made for such a niche market of action/adventure lovers, so it'll obviously be ignored when it comes to marketing.

Anyway, a really cool, low publicity game was Serious Sam. The plot was basically, "Ok, you've landed in South America. Go blow shit up with this cannon." How can you NOT love it?
<3. Serious Sam is a modern day remake of the good ol' DooM games.

I don't know if it has been publicised a lot, but Painkiller looks quite good... For a complete DooM ripoff.

Boombots: Another good game from the peepz at The Neverhood. Too bad nothing of theirs gets publicised... :/

By the same company that brought you Giants, how about Armed and Dangerous. 15 bucks brand new, and its hilarious. Buy it now.

I was dissapointed by that game, it had some really great ideas, but overall the game felt rushed. What made "Giants" such a wonderful experiences was the freedom of movement (Jet pack, Oh yeah!), but here, you were restricted to set paths. A good game, that I encourage people to check out, but don't go in expecting another ''Citizen Kabuto".

It's called 'Indigo Prophecy' now. Pretty sure.

And it does look rather intriguing. I may have to look into it closer to its release.

'It's called 'Indigo Prophecy' now. Pretty sure.'

Yeh, the American and Europe titles are different, methinks. I think we're getting 'Farenheit' and you lot are getting 'Indigo Prophecy'. I just hope it lives up the the hype. Has anybody got the game 'Still life', per chance? And if so, is it any good? I doubt many of you have, since i haven't seen it in a lot of stores, but it's worth asking.

If you go to http://www.gamespot.com/pc/adventure...ml?q=farenheit you can see the official trailer for it. I must say, apart from the murders and the angels, it's looking very much like The Matrix.

There's also a demo of it which I'm trying to download as we speak. But it's 300 mb so it'll be a while.

I would download it but it's about 250 megs so it would take too long (even longer with the 300 meg Farenheit demo.) But it's got a rating of 6.7 so it's supposed to be moderately good.

My fav's have to be:

Bard's Tale (Xbox)
Predator:Concrete Jungle(Xbox)
Jedi Knight:Jedi Academy(Xbox)

I'm sure there are others, but those are my favorites. Predator was given a bad review in OXM, but it was very good. Most people agree with me. Bard's Tale is a humorous take on RPG games with a mix of Baldur's Gate:Dark Alliance mixed in. Jedi Knight is just a cool series.

I recently found a game called "Ikaruga" for the GameCube.

It's a pretty fun little arcade shooter. Hard as hell and only five levels, but it's still pretty fun. The catch is that your ship can change from white to black. While white, you can absorb fire from white enemies and vice versa when black. The thing is, you can't complete the game without finding the perfect balance between the two colors. To paraphrase Maddox, "Interesting gameplay element... or subtle social commentary?"

Heh. Anyway, if you like games like that and you can find a copy, pick it up!

HAHAHA! I wouldn't say they are unheard or unpublicised. Most of them were just let-downs and given bad press.

...Though Jedi Academy offers some funderfulness.
