Speaking of Ross, Ross Noble is also quite good when he's not being a twit.

What I saw of Live 8 was great. Who cares about Africa, when you can see Pink Floyd reuniting?

Surely, though, I'm not the only one here who noticed the absolute coverage rapage going down. VH1 was nothing short of a mocking joke. Hey, let's show a minute of "Comfortably Numb" and cut out! Let's show "Won't Get Fooled Again" and cut out before the musical climax! Horrible, horrible people. My dad checked out on other forums/discussions/etc... and apparently, there are many others also pissed. Deservedly so, I say. At least they were kind enough to show the full clip of "Fall to Pieces." Scott and his boys did well.

On a brighter note, the local classic rock station played the entire Pink Floyd set. The boys still got it. Would like to see (or hear) the rest of what The Who pulled out, though. Bit funny watching those boys; singing about never growing up and the like in their youth, and now looking like the giesers of rock. Looked like a bunch of guys pulled out of an office or something.

Last comment: the "finale". Why the hell did Paul do a full rendition of "The Long and Winding Road" and sacrifice the verses of "Hey Jude"? A brilliant brain fart on behalf of the producers (or maybe Paul) that could've gone much better.

Ooohh, Ross Noble is fairly amusing when he's not being overly excited, much like Lee Evans. I loathe slapstick though, moreso when it's not that funny, and Noble and Evans doing slapstick aren't funny.

Paul Foot and Daniel Boyle, however, are amusing! As is that guy from 'Peep show'!

EDITED thanks to Jacob's tip.

I still don't like Ricky jervais. Peter Kay is alright but Ricky Jervais, no. Some stuff he does can be funny, but thi thing about cancellnig debt then saying it was a joke, I just find that wrong.

I'd edit that response before he reads it - he meant PMS, not PM's. PMS being a shenanigan that occurs in women when the wound from their phallus opens up every month, for a couple of days, or so.

Munch's Master 07-05-2005 11:12 AM

Ah right, I see now. Anyway I've edited it.

MM, I don't know who the hell you are, but I've already assumed that you're a complete melvin, so just watch what you damn say. Otherwise I shall be forced to remove your forbidden banana.

'Some stuff he does can be funny, but thi thing about cancellnig debt then saying it was a joke, I just find that wrong.'

Why, exactly? People make lots of jokes about lots of things, ranging from Princess Diane to 9/11, what's the difference with the debt thing?

Nothing is tasteless as a joke, if handled correctly.
Gervais handled it brilliantly; I almost wish it was I who said it.

Dino 07-05-2005 03:52 PM

In that case Esus, you've yet to see all of his live performances on DVD. In some of them he's just plain offensive. Watching it is literally just like the Office. You cringe and laugh at his assholeishness, rather than find the actual jokes funny.

Each to his own I suppose, though.

Geez Dino, I was just stating my opinion and speaking my mind. Insult me all you want, but I thought these forums were about being able to get away from the real world for a while, and speak your mind without others blocking your opinions. I have nothing against you, so I don't know why you're picking me out like this.

Dino 07-06-2005 10:42 AM

I just was joking, melonhead.
