Oh dear. We'd better ignore Clakkers. Birds with breasts, indeed. And lizards with feathers. Who are these Mudokons. Oddworld's species evolved on Oddworld, they're not bound by the same taxonomy as Earth creatures. The beetle at the start of Munch's Oddysee strongly suggests Meetles have skeletons, which they would need to support their size anyway.

Well, there are some birds, as I understand it, that do lactate. I'll check with my friend on that one, she's good with that stuff.

Plus, many species of dinosaurs had feathers. But I always thought Muds were related to birds.

I hate to break it to you but they don't belong to Sea Rexes, because in the special Oddworld DVD extra movie you actually see a Sea Rex and well they look very much like giant eels.

Not a chance in hell are those bones from a guardian. The guardians are long since extinct. Those bones looked pretty fresh.

Cullen Heath 02-28-2006 06:36 PM

I don't know....

I think that's too small for a Necrum Guardian. If you think about it, the Guardians bone structure is much longer than this. Especially if it were to be stretched out instead of hunched over.
Besides, what would a Necrum Guardian spine be doing over there?

ODDREN 02-28-2006 11:07 PM

nate_dog_woof, sure it is a chance)))how a bone can be fresh? only if it has meat on it...look once more and remember that these "FRESH" BONES are breaking after Stranger jump on them while fresh bone is very strong material...and there is only head of Guardian in Necrum, no ribcage, so how do you know is it big or small for this ribcage?

p.s. notice unknown huge creature's ribcage in MO in Scrab Run level...what do you think?:)

Cullen Heath, fuzzles are spread all over Mudos, so why Guardians can't?

Nate 02-28-2006 11:35 PM

They're still fresh and bone-looking. The guardians have been dead long enough for their remains in necrum to be fossilized, according to alf . If they had been fossilized those bones would look more calcified and grey. Also, they would not be sitting out in the open like that otherwise they would have eroded away over the years.

Even if you don't agree with me on that, you're still yet to say anything in favour of them being Guardians beyond the fact that they're both really big. We know that there is a significant amount of megafauna on Oddworld. There's no reason for those bones (or the ones in the levels in MO) to be anything we have seen before.

still i insist on my theory)

mk-ultra.net 03-03-2006 02:51 AM

What a waist of a thread, this is probably just an oddworld theory...

Xavier 03-03-2006 02:54 AM

sorry but what is that supposed to mean?

ODDREN 03-06-2006 03:24 AM

Xav, what do you mean?

nate_dog_woof, look at this:
http://www.oddworldlibrary.net/toa/O...guardians_.jpg

by the way: is Steef bigger than Mudokon? If that's so then this "guardian" ribcage is quite small for Stranger and outlaw...

Nate 03-06-2006 08:38 AM

What is your point? It's not like you can see some tusks in the Stranger opening movie. Or are you implying I don't know what a guardian is?

Abe 01 03-06-2006 09:27 AM

Did we really need a big discussion on this? i mean its like saying , 'i saw a bit of grass necrum background, how did it get there? is it possible that its not actully a grass and it was an ilussion? are we real or just dreaming?'

Sekto Springs 03-06-2006 03:05 PM

It's obviously the remains of Al Roker.

C'mon people, use your damn eyes!
