I think that the films on a whole are overly hyped beyond belief. And there were some continuity issues (especially since it's not even mentioned that Anakin has any siblings in the first films, and yet suddenly at the end of RotS Luke's living with some random Aunty and Uncle).
I also liked the fact that (Spoiler)... Emperor Palpatine was the person who actually created Anakin. I thought that was a rather jolly twist in the tale. Oh. Yes. |

Say it yesterday. It was ok. Not gory enough. Not dark enough. Meh. And Jarjar didn't die, what the **** is up with that?
|
*Slight spoilers*
Jar Jar is alright to be kept alive, but I think he should have been killed, because he is not any part of the trilogy, therefore, there is no reason for him to be kept alive. Maybe Jar Jar is one of the few people from Vaders childhood that Vader didn't kill, maybe he is still a senator, but works for Palpatine. Did anyone notice Boss Nass at Padme Skywalkers Funeral |
Yeah I saw it opening night.
I went as Sheriff Benson and interviewed people dressed up. I even fought some dudes with lightsabers and got pwned. I captured it on video - watch it here: http://sheriffbenson.com/toons/sots/starwars.html But hahaha, this was my favorite scene in the movie: *Padame brushing her hair on the balcony* ANAKIN: You are...SO beautiful. PADAME: It's only because I'm so much in love! ANAKIN: Oh no, it's because I love you MORE! PADAME: Well your love blinds you! Almost word for word. I laughed so hard during parts that weren't supposed to be funny, so that is kind of a bad sign. Oh another one of my favorites: PADAME: Oh Annie, hold me like you did back on Naboo! But yes. Some REALLY bad writing, overall pretty good movie though. During the first half I was like ehh, this isn't that great, but then the second half was really great. Some scenes were very powerful and hit me hard, such as Vader pathetically screaming without limbs and Obi Wan watching (SO powerful), and when Yoda feels the effects of all the Jedi dying (drops his cane and almost faints), and the kids hiding in the Jedi Temple. Those made me actually feel something in Star Wars for the first time in a while. Also I loved seeing the sly psychological manipulation Palpatine uses on Anakin. They executed that very well. One of the big things I disliked was that the change from good Anakin to bad Anakin was so sudden. One minute he is enraged that Palpatine is a Sith lord and detests anything of the dark side, and the next minute he is killing little "younglings". I thought they could have planned that out just with his gradual thought process a bit better, it was WAY to sudden of a change. BTW I've decided from now on I'm calling Anakin "Nubbins". Cos he is a Nubbins. |

Dude, Sherrif Benson rules! "You will go to SherrifBenson.com, you will watch all the cartoons, and you will love them!". Ah, SOTS will now be a frequently checked section. Very amusing, well done Mac.

And spoilers......... There were scenes that really got to me emotionally, too, such as the defeat of the Jedi, Anakin catching on fire with Obi Wan standing and watching (virtually that entire scene got to me-including Anakin and Obi Wan's conversation right before it happened.), Anakin killing the 'younglings' and Padme dying. Overall, though, I thought it was a great movie. (Except for those minor parts that I mentioned above.) |

BTW is it just me or does "younglings" just sound way goofy? |
