They have actually already made ascii art of him.

hahaha. post it, I wanna see

TheRaisin 04-21-2005 03:38 PM

Dino, we realize you're joking. It's just getting... a wee bit tiresome.

Is it just me, or does this new guy look in really poor health?

Hee hee. "Mon" is with the Jamaican accent. "Mang" is with the Cheech-esque Mexican accent. And both kick ass.

Coolmanbizkit 04-21-2005 03:42 PM

Lol. well give him a break Raisin the new pope is 79 or something close to that

TheRaisin 04-21-2005 03:49 PM

Pff. My grandpa's almost ninety and looks like a million bucks. Er. At least compared to this dude.

And I've never seen dark circles under the eyes that huge. I mean, dayumn. If he were some kind of emo rocker I might think it's makeup. :p

Coolmanbizkit 04-21-2005 03:50 PM

Maybe he just never sleeps...

AquaticAmbi 04-21-2005 03:56 PM

Personally, I was hoping for the black guy. And I agree, the new Pope is quite spooky-looking.

Coolmanbizkit 04-21-2005 04:55 PM

I didnt know much about the candidates for the new pope slot. So i dont know if the new one is good.

I bet some fundamentalist fanatic f-word is going to say his evil appearance is part of a devine plan and a sign that judgement day is nigh or something.

I say it's just because he's German. I've seen at least 10 elderly German males who look like the new pope. One in particular being a World War 2 veteran, who was one among many of the soldiers manning machine gun bunkers at Normandy beach during the D-Day landings. He has made several appearances on the Discovery channel, one in particular where he met up with an English and American war veteran to discuss the event on friendly terms.

Obviously it's just German genetics.

Rattzinger was in the Hitler youth and he fought in belgium, Funny that John Paul the second and Rattzinger were best friends though isnt it?

EDIT: John Paul the Second was in the Polish Army too.

Dino 04-21-2005 06:55 PM

Rattzinger fought for the armies of Hitler?

That's definately going to cause some controversy. :smokin:

Coolmanbizkit 04-21-2005 06:57 PM

Lol, Yeah didnt you know he was in Hitler Youth?

Gretin 04-21-2005 08:46 PM

From what I read, his father was Anti-Nazi, but he was forced to join the Hitler Youth, and later deserted and was captured by the Allies. I can't remember how it went after that.

The Marching Mudokon 04-21-2005 09:47 PM

I heard he was in Hitlers Youth but I figured he was (most likely) forced into it, and it turns out he was. Apparently.

TheRaisin 04-22-2005 02:35 PM

Being a part of the Hitler Youth was mandatory. It doesn't really bother me.

Nate 04-25-2005 03:43 PM

The Simon Weisenthal Centre (world-premier anti-nazi research organisation) put out a press release saying that they have no problem with Pope "Eggs" because he was forced into Hitler Youth.

Amen, brother.

i loved a piece in the local paper about the Pope`s history.

1945 : Joined German Army.

1945 : Deserted German Army

They better watch out he may try to split from the Vatican :D
