Nah, on the DVD, the News slig does that too.

blinking is natural... you need to do it to keep your eyes a minimum wet, all the creatures of oddworld with eyes blink.

he is my fav and i have all those newcast movies on my pc (riped of my abe exxodus game for meself to look at lol)
and i have look at em many times and i couldnt see him blink once...O_o

lol yeah i know all oddworld character does,but i havent seen sligs blink (more then the valets slig when he watches the newspaper)

But the eyes on the Sligs are covered by goggles. Perhapse the glass/plastic of the goggles is tinted, the eyes are red and the goggles darken when the Slig blinks the eyes under the goggles?

On the concept Big bro image without it's mask shows a small black eye, but on the bigbro colured image it shows a small red glowing eye (like the Oktigis) with a transperance mask. I think the Sligs mask are red becuase of thier glowwing eyes, and I think the reason it's looks so because the the mask eye could magnifie the eye some how, so it looks big. Becuase I know that sligs should have smaller eyes than the one the mask.

I'm not sure the Newscaster in AE and the one on the DVD are the same. Didn't the AE one quit at the end of that game? True, we saw him once again afterwards, but the DVD Newscaster not only has an improved set, he has a completely different delivery style and different mannerisms.

Who knows? Maybe Sligs do have larger eyes. Don't take the Big-Bro Slig's teeny eyes as a way that they all might look. Because, after all, Oddworldian steroids might shrink a few features. I remember reading that the steroids shrink their tentacles, why not their whole face?

I don't know. Of corse, the other side of the coin is that maybe the goggles magnify the eyes so they appear as big as they do. I'm really hoping that OWI has a chance to show a mask-less slig. I'm tired of seeing "wild-Slig" fan art where they're still wearing the mask. Because if they were WILD, they wouldn't have ANY INDUSTRIAL GEAR.
