yeah, except that either you play evil or good the games end the same. no like AO AE and MO.

True...true.

One thing that made me pause was when one of the wolvarks yelled; "Tell my wife I love her!"

"Tell my girlfriend I loved her."
"She's my girlfriend now man!"

Sorry...your post just made me think of that.

Or an insideous puppy kicker:
-Did someone say, "Meat grinders?"
-Clackerz make great airbags.
-Why yes officer, I do have my security guard impersonator license.
You're speaking of me, I'm sure of it... Did you not be a 'security guard'? :p

He uses BoomBats as Live ammo to keep himself alive, but surely, when the BoomBats blow up, the bats must die too...
Aww, something in me just withered up and died... :( Boombats are already shaking and lookin' scared out of their wits. They seem as if they are commencing the urinating process in fear, with the shaking and the shifty eyes. I loove Boombats. Now I'll never use them again!

(Well, a Spark Stuknz and Boombat Seeker combo is pretty damn funny, especiall when there are many enemies... :p)

i do not know what he is. no one is good or evil (shock, horror!) but it is just what you do. you can be classified good or evil by others depending mainly on what you do.

e.g. The bounties think stranger is bad for screwing up their lives and the grubbs think that stranger is good for liberating them and getting back the water. you know what i mean.

*edit* One thing that made me pause was when one of the wolvarks yelled; "Tell my wife I love her!"
Poor wolvark. but is this just a joke or a hint that wolvarks come in 2 genders.

From my point of view and how I played the game Stranger is a good guy.(I capture all my bountys alive :))
He just wants to live, to enjoy he's life to the fullest.

Stranger would have some natural connections to his "ammo", as he is never affected by any of them (i.e the stunkz) and never attack him when he "hunts" them.

Never heard that line from a wolvark, guess I would need to play the game a second time.

One final thing, whats the point of the last option in the poll, its just pointless, well its only my thoughts.

the Live Ammo does give it's life up willingly, c'mon why don't they just jump off the crossbow if they don't wan't fired?

Well you do stun them to collect them :D if it was willingly on the part of the ammo, all you'd have to do is approach the free-roaming ammo and they'd 'jump' into your bag so to speak. :)

Cyber-Slig 03-10-2005 06:59 AM

So? On the crossbow they still move, and the chippunk speaks, so it's not stunned then.

Heh, the Grubbs come in 2 genders- so why not..
I couldn't help but get a mental image of a she Wolvark with a slew of squalling infants hanging off her- standing on a street corner with a sign hanging around her neck reading 'Hubby got fed to Bolamites'
Heeheeheeheeheeee! Twisted!

Leto 03-10-2005 10:47 PM

It would be funny if female Wolvarks had the same voice as the males, like Grubbs and Clakkerz. That would be oh so amusing. Having them with bad make-up and wigs. It is pretty hard to picture, though, as the Wolvarks seem prety masculant to me.

:p Man, female Wolvarks just wouldn't be pretty.

I think they would have to be strapped in somehow... I mean, when you jump, wouldn't they fall off if they weren't supported at all?

As someone mentioned...they're probably not the brightest of all Oddworld creatures...so maybe once they're stunned and captured and loaded into the ammo clip..it's game over :D

Not saying I think one is right or not, just suggesting a possibility! :)

Al the Glukkon 03-12-2005 12:40 PM

Yeah, the live ammo just looks so innocent and unknowing on the crossbow.

well, the chippunk know they're on the crlossbow by saying, "OH! Nice crossbow! Feels cumfy!

Leto 03-12-2005 07:45 PM

The Boombats aren't unknowing! :( If they had the means to urinate, I am sure Strangers crossbow would be a nice shade of yellow. They look so friggin' scared! But everything else looks pretty passive, and unknowing... But the Boombats, wah!

(Wow, emotional over a bunch of polygons. I am sure weird, ahyuck!)

Amen.
I can't really say, because I don't know Stranger's personality that much. But what Mudling said is very very true

Nepharski 03-13-2005 09:20 AM

I think Stranger is good...but the play can choose if he's a hero or an anti-hero...that's all.

Xavier 03-13-2005 10:26 AM

in the game you can't realy do bad things...
aven if you hurt the Clakkerz it isn't bad, because you'll find out at the end you were righ cause they are jerks who steal from Grubbs

Wil 03-14-2005 10:26 AM

Stranger has always felt at home in nature, and the raport between him and the wildlife means these Live Ammo critters leave him alone. By extension, they're willing to be part of the things he does, at least in Spirit - I'm not suggesting they have much intelligence on the whole, they just instinctively cooperate with Steefs.

As for attacking Clakkerz, well, their settlement of the Mongo region may be intrusive and harmful, but violence shouldn't be how he deals with it, especially as he wasn't aware of the damage they were doing at the time.

Or maybe he was.
