AFOS, the point is it's not falling that simulates zero gravity. It's the second or two before you fall. But since diving off a tall building does not incorporate any upwards motion worth mentioning, it's a moot point. If you dive off a tall building, you do not feel weightless.

Happiness is a warm gun, bang bang shoot shoot.

If I crashed a hydrogen-filled zeppelin into a mountainside, do you think I would burn to death? Or would my spine break upon impact?

I'm guessing you'd burn. As the fire would reach the cockpit (filthy word if you think about it :p) with the explosion before the cockpit reached the cliff-face.

I'd rather die in my sleep, like my grandfather, than screaming and panicing, like his passengers.

Just kidding, though I agree with the sentiment.

I don't really understand the people who have said gunshot to the head. I mean, unless you're talking suicide then I'd rather not be in a situation where I'm likely to be shot. The fear would be worse than any possible pain.

Ugh... I don't like any of these choices... But I really hope I die all old, happy, and ready to go. I refuse to die in a hospital, so I hope it's all cozy at home surrounded by what's left of my life. I'd be super pissed (well, not really because I'd be dead) if I died instantly while I'm young without seeing what was coming. On the other hand, I wouldn't want my last moments to be sheer panic and fright.

If I do die young, I hope it's something that isn't too tragic, and maybe something that could even be found a little humorous if possible, like one time I was talking to some friend before I was fixing to go have my wisdom teeth out. I expressed fear of dying from some weird complication or something, and he made some sort of joke about it. Then I replied, "You'd be so sad if that happened, and you'd feel horrible for joking about it!" A few minutes later I realized it'd be sort of funny and ironic if it did happen, so I told him not to feel bad if it did and to try to find some humor in it. :talk:

Heh heh, I like that.

What would be really funny would be to custom-fit your death to your career or lifestyle. For instance, become a world-famous Olympic swimmer and drown in the bathtub. Or be an arsonist and die by leaving the stove on and burning down the house. Et cetera.

I like the way The Royal Tenenbaums ends. The main character dies of a heart attack, and on his grave his epitaph relates some sort of bogus tale about how he died tragically rescuing his wife and children from a destroyed and sinking battleship.

You just killed that joke.

Then my work here is done.

"Your death is comming. Antcipation after all, is everything."

I don't fear death itself. My life has very little meaning. . . I live only for myself and everything that's close to me. I just fear the suffering that may or may not come with death, be it phyisical or emotional. I even fear the emotional suffering of others as a result of my own death, hence why suicide is never an option for me, no matter the situation. Death itself is. . . Well, too overated in my opinion. Unless you really have done nothing with your life or you have a lot to live for (non-selfishly), then it shouldn't be feared.

I dunno when my time will come, but I just wanna make something of my life before it happens. I have already experianced tons of things in my time, so I wouldn't feel too short-changed if I went now, but there still are plenty of things I haven't done yet that I want to do.
I want my death itself to be quick and painless, and hopefully come at a time when I'll be oblivious to it. And also hopefully at a time where no-one or hardly anyone would miss me. Maybe that's wishful thinking, though. . .

My preferred way to die is to dive off a building, in complete harmony with my destiny, a.k.a. "the ground". That is the ONLY way to truly experience flying. Sure you can use a chute, but then you'll be "floating" down.

And on the gravity thing, you don't feel the effects of gravity, when you're falling down. The split second you hit the ground, THAT'S when you feel the effects of gravity.

It's not the fall that'll kill ya, it's the impact on the ground that will.

DarkHoodness 01-12-2005 11:19 AM

BTW, speaking of death, what a way to go! :D

Hahahaha! :D Poor dude. :) He'll be feeling that in the morning. . .

EDIT: Oh yeah, copy and Paste the URL into a new browser window or into Media Player or something to listen to it, 'cause Angelfire sucks. . . I should get a new host website.

Should've added Suicide, But gunshot sounds good.
Not to croch though.

munchman 01-21-2005 05:41 PM

I picked gun shot, but i would much rather die by oldness.

Do you realise there's no set way to commit suicide?

Cyber-Slig 01-22-2005 04:23 AM

Every thing will hurt you. No matter what. Only dying old in your sleep is painless. Even if the death is quick you'd feel a moment of the biggest pain in your life.
