Mine arrived yesterday. Its great. I suppose that the blue colour is because they're trying to prove to us that the game is not exclusively a Western.

No, there have been previous Christmas Cards without a poem. Such as the 2001 Christmas Card. However, on the subject of this year's Christmas Card, while it might not be a poem, is it meant to be the lyrics to a tune we should all know? I've tried singing it to Jingle Bells (etc, etc) but it doesn't seem to fit.

Yet I still believe they are lyrics.

hey, that's interesting...tehere is two types of chippunks, outside of their upgraded versions...does that mean that there are slight variations in the proportions of each individual in a live ammo species? it would be pretty awkward, since from what we've seen they didnt do any sort of variation with the paesants, or the thugs...who would be more likely to have varied looks for each individual since they can chose their clothing thus their life experiences affects their look much more directly, whereas a wild species just has to stick to the skin they're born with.

it did bug me in the screenshots that there were about 5 paesants in them, and they all looked exactly the same, there wasnt even recoloring going on

One is the chippunk and the other is the stunks. They do look similar though.

heh...I'm amazed how badly confused I got by just them being in B&W, but they do look a lot alike in that image, the only diff is proportions. I guess in higher res tho I would've seen chip's teeth

It's meant to be sung to the tune of that old Christmas charol (I don't remember the name of it), but it starts off as:

I don't believe I've ever heard of that Christmas carol, so no wonder I couldn't place anything. But, you are quite right! Here is the Christmas carol you speak of, and it matches! Note, this is only the first verse.

I guess this perfect example used by Max would sum it up nicely: Sligs were exactly the same as well. But I guess with the game being 3D, we sort of expect a greater range of diversity. Sligs was fine, they had to wear the same garments, they were provided with them - same with Mudokons, etc, etc. Glukkons were dressed different, though. But the enemies in Stranger don't have that excuse, they can wear different garments. Still, it isn't too much of an issue with me, now.

Hehe well that diden't happen It so happens that the day after I posted that post I recieved my card in the mail. It was address to my old address but there was a yellow sticker on it stateing my new address and to notify the sender.

I forgot before I moved I went to the post office and filled out a change of address form so anything that went to my old address 2906 altimatically is sent to my new address 4457.

But I love the card its so cool! Mann I am so glad I made my reservation of the game back in June. I was lucky I went to Game Stop and they said my reserved copy is still there. I even saw the mockup box of Stranger. It looked soo cool I also noticed something strange I went to another Game Stop that is in a local shopping mall and this was after I found out the release date as being January 26th here in the States. They told me that the game won't come out for another six months. Now thats wrong I understand OSW is confirmed for January 26th right? My guess is not all game stores know yet of the release date.

I am certainly glad I diden't go to that one but still the card is so nice I will add it to my ever so growing Oddworld collection.

I have one signed in silver, and two signed in red. Don't ask me why I got three cards, because I don't even know myself.

i have 2 bechause i signed up 1 time and then i relized i was forgotten my family name and did it again:p

ps the 2nd was messed up by the postman so i looked in the law book to see if killing the postman was against the law...

Guys, you can email Alf and ask him to delete your incorrect account. When I changed my POP3 email address, I simply did that... and then we never received any emails after that, hehehe.

My brother signed up for The Fan Club before I did, so we had to share the First and Second Stranger cards...as well as the stickers. But this year we each got our own Stranger card. His was signed in red, and mine in silver.

Yep, Alf signed everyone's card. Which is absolutely fantastic, not only because it is then personalised-ish (:p), but it shows how much dedication they have. That's a lot of work to do, even if we estimate how many people are signed up for the commODDities club.
