Kanye released a new track featuring Kendrick Lamar. I really like this, much better than anything on Yeezus imo.
I started listening to this Jazz Cartier dude a few days ago, really liked his Marauding In Paradise album, some great hard-hitting bangers on it. |
Whoa, Kanye and Kendrick. They're like the two best rappers.

FLORIDADA |
Synth pop! |
It's not super new and it's mainstream and it's dubstep but I like it. |
10/10 Aside from it being a great song I also love floral shit. Great vocals, great beat, great everything. |
EDIT: OK this band is really really good. Here's another song by them: The video is really weird but the song is good. |
Literally the best video on the internet. Better than anything ever. |
Better than the videos of poor, hurt, hungry, ill, parasite-infected puppies brought back to full health by caring people?
|
Yes. Because this is Madeon playing live and being amazing.
|
"Playing live" is a huge strech. The piano fragments are most probably from other video, just like the microphone that's magically appearing and disappearing. He certainly isn't singing (and autotuning) live.
Not to mention it's also hard as fuck to play anything while jumping and clapping your hands above your head. That kind of physical perfomance affects your ability to even turn knobs in a perfect time. As it seems like a good example of modern pop music industry, it's probably just played via playback, and the things he is doing have no effect on the sound audience hears. It's not like anyone can actually see what he's doing there He's certainly standing here and looking like an average teen-girl-idol live. |
He's not singing, Passion Pit is. Madeon is one of the best electronic music producers around. He launched his career at 17 with this:
The guy is crazy good and he is mixing live on stage. That's not just the studio version being played. |
Okay, I take it back about him not performing live, in that case.
|
Thank you Parks and Rec Season 6 finale. Music like this makes me want to live in the Pacific Northwest so much. |
I like this song of theirs. It's about a guy who kills his own kids after his wife dies during childbirth.
|
Wow what the fuck. I mean the song is good but the lyrics freak me out.
|
Gr8 song and lyrics.
|
Lol, The Decemberists.
|
Agreed, they are so fucking boring. Starbucks music innit?

I'm sure everyone knows this song but it's so amazing. And it segues into this Actually just listen to the whole thing if you've never listened to it before and if you did do it again because it's so good. |
Everybody in this fuckin' club got gats.

|
Amazing vocals |

|
The video is stupid but the song is good |

Were it not for the refrain, which isn't terrible, but also isn't great, this would be just about a perfect Animal Collective song. I'm pretty excited for the new album.

It's beautiful.....
|
I've been listening to Strawberry Jam a lot lately.
One of their best albums. |

Also Thoughts? |
This music is so weird. Both the weird psychedelic surreal thing and the spooky ghost noises in the one with the mr skeltal kid.
And yes, I know, I'm a judgemental fuck. |
Animal Collective definitely isn't for everyone, but there's a certain purity of intent that makes their music beautiful even when it's cacophonous. If you really want to hear weird, try listening to their album "Here Comes the Indian." I defy you to even make it through the album once.
I listen to it all the time while working out, but even I can't really listen to it just to listen to it. |
I agree, it's not the sort of thing you'd chill out to, but Flordiada is a fucking good song and it makes me so happy. And who couldn't love a band that does a song about be-RE RE RO RO |
