Playing Prince of Persia, it's a nice game but a bit too easy and the combats feel weird

There's a reason for that. The combat is fucking weird. I'd go so far as to say that the combat sucks. I liked the game, apart from that.

I beat Batman:AA, and collected everything in the game. I loved it. The mixture of fantastic gameplay, voice acting, and story are almost unparalleled in modern gaming.

Anonyman! 08-31-2009 07:06 PM

Batman is fucking great. Still working on it though, and I'm not sure I'm willing to try and get everything, but it is the only game where I've actually considered it.

The combat killed the game for me. I couldn't get past the bit where you fight your mutant father. Maybe one of these days I'll try it again with an invincibility cheat or something.

Wings of Fire 08-31-2009 07:24 PM

He didn't say SOT so I'm assuming he didn't mean Sands of Time.

Bad Nate!

Nate 08-31-2009 07:38 PM

I concede your point, but the original Prince of Persia didn't have wierd combat. It's combat was of an acceptable level at the time, though it's considered fairly shitty today.

Wings of Fire 08-31-2009 07:46 PM

I....think he means the Cell Shaded version, the one OANST was discussing a couple of pages back.

Sekto Springs 08-31-2009 07:49 PM

The Suffering, then the sequel.

Xavier 09-01-2009 02:47 AM

I was talking about the latest PoP, the cell shaded one... :)

The only other I played was Warrior Within, and I really think WW was better gameplay wise.

Bullet Magnet 09-01-2009 07:04 AM

I don't have a problem with the combat. Except getting the 14-move combat chain achievement. I got to 13 then the guy died.

Xavier 09-01-2009 07:16 AM

Yeah, I'm still working on that one too

Hey OANST still on the top of the Splosion charts? I heard they whipped a part of the leader boards

OANST 09-01-2009 07:24 AM

I have a very good chance of winning. If I end up losing I will probably end up getting second place. If that happens I intend to guilt them into giving me something.

I have had the best time on the weekly leader boards for four weeks running. I just have to keep it up.

Bullet Magnet 09-01-2009 08:09 AM

Which leader boards are these?

OANST 09-01-2009 08:15 AM

The weekly leader board for 3-8. And yes, I noticed that you passed me up on the overall leader board for points. Dick.

Bullet Magnet 09-01-2009 09:20 AM

Heh heh.

OANST 09-04-2009 07:58 AM

We are really down to the wire on the 'Splosion Man contest. I can tell because my inbox has been flooded with requests for me to tell people how I got the time that I did. I'm a little surprised that so many people would think that I would be dumb enough to tell them. I also just received about half a dozen friend requests last night. All from people on the 'Splosion Man boards.

Nate 09-04-2009 08:00 AM

What's the difference in time between you and the next person down?

OANST 09-04-2009 08:09 AM

3 seconds. Closer to 4, really.

Anonyman! 09-04-2009 03:52 PM

THEN GO FASTER

Wings of Fire 09-05-2009 09:58 AM

I picked Elite Beat Agents up at Gamestation for £2.00, it's unreasonably fun.

Alf Shall Rise 09-05-2009 08:27 PM

Mass Effect

Never finished it, so I decided to go do that.

Don't bother, just dispatch the regular enimies first, take a walk up to your daddy and keep circling him in a side-step 'till he attacks (90% chance he'll miss), then mash the fucking attack button untill he blocks, then repeat. ;)

I've just finished Half-Life 2, and Portal a few days ago. They were brilliant games. Time to start Episode 1. :D Also, I bought Starfox Adventures and I've played that for a bit. When I rented it as a kid I never realised how short it was. Man...

Wings of Fire 09-06-2009 10:56 AM

I could never get past the button bashing part in the final world.

Phylum 09-06-2009 08:04 PM

I just finished portal and am playing Half Life 2.

Also, still Quake 2 on hard. Had to start again, though. I want to through my mouse at the screen every time a medic bursts through the roof or a wall.

Half-life and portal are brilliant.
The charged gravity gun in episode 1 is so fun

Strike Witch 09-07-2009 04:36 PM

Monster Hunter Freedom Unite on PSP.

Fleeing in terror from giant bird-things is ever so much fun.

squeak117 09-07-2009 05:26 PM

Started playing Mass Effect again. Spent eight hours just doing side-missions... and enjoyed myself thoroughly.

OANST 09-08-2009 07:50 AM

Well, I have lost the 'Splosion Man contest. Khaled13 (the number 1 player on N+) came in and skull fucked my time. I am going to have to be content with second place.

Dixanadu 09-08-2009 04:02 PM

I downloaded Duke Nukem 3D from Xbox Marketplace. God, it brings back memories.

Varrok 09-09-2009 10:46 AM

If you had a PC version of DN3D you would use High Resolution Pack Mod for it:

(I don't know itll works on Xbox and I don't think so) :)

Makes game better-looking
