I don't think it was created to destroy the peaceful life between Mudokons and Glukkons. Abe's Moon is obviously good to Abe and the Mudokons, and peace between them and the Glukkons would also be good for them. The war was created, because the Mudokons called themselves the chosen race, because of Abe's Moon. The Glukkons were probably angry, so they made the Mudokons their slaves.

I think Glukkons couldn't do anything alone... I think they acted with the help of another stronger bad class. Could my opinion be right?

Before they took to hiding their bodies in sharp but restrictive tailored clothing, they may have been physically proficient, even with only two functional limbs.

Sorry bout this one, it's most likely a question that has been answered over and over but apparently in Exodus in the background on one of the levels you can see a meech, is this true?

Can I see a screenshot of this level please?

Unfortunately I have no idea what level and if it's true at all. Thats why I'm wondering if it's true and what level it is so I can see it for myself.

Bullet Magnet 06-04-2008 11:59 AM

There are Meech Munchies posters in a number of AO backgrounds, maybe in an AE background.

Wil 06-04-2008 01:35 PM

This is not true at all. It’s one of the oldest rumours there is.

Ah thanks for clearing that up, I have seen talk of it all over the place but never saw a confirmation about it:confused:

MeechShrykull1029 06-04-2008 02:18 PM

There ARE some Meech Munchie posters in RuptureFarms, but they say the same thing as the one in the FMV.

What are really Sloggies? Are they Slogs's sons? Why are they smaller than Slogs?

They're basically Slog pups.

I never do stuff like this but it was way to hard to resist

abe is now! 06-05-2008 08:04 AM

Xavier! What the hell have you posted? Anyway, I mean Sloggies and not Sloggi XD! What are they? Jordan, I think they're Slog's pups too, but why are they smaller? Why are they slower?!? What are they?!?!? Who created them?!?!?!?

Um. Do you even know what a pup is? It's the offspring of a dog. They start off small... And grow. So I assume that's what happens with a Sloggie.

abe is now! 06-06-2008 01:14 AM

Ok, so my big question is: do Slogs have sex and don't have a queen like other species?

Wil 06-06-2008 02:09 AM

We don’t know. Oh hey, my F.A.Q. addresses this question:

I don't think they have a queen, because I found a pattern with simpler Oddworld creatures. Paramites have queens, and so do termites. Scrabs don't have queens, and crabs also don't. I don't think Slogs have queens, because dogs don't.

Sanssouci 06-06-2008 05:05 PM

That's not a pattern.

Yes, just like how fish and octopi have queens too.

mudling 06-08-2008 01:41 AM

Birds have queens?
Used is right, but you're on the right track MeechShyrkull.
Ok, I can't realy say that, but here is what I think:
The creatures of oddworld have both physcial and behavourial characteristics of several animals, sometimes they're the same (e.g. slogs and dogs) other times they're different (e.g. Glockens look like octopuses, but they tend to act like insectiod, parastetic speacies, in that they leach of other, or mudokons physicall resemble birds, but resemble termites or ants or other communial, self sacrficial speacies which are governed by queens in behaviour.

Bullet Magnet 06-09-2008 10:12 AM

I really think this is one of those times where comparisons to Realworld species are not helpful.

Crashpunk 06-09-2008 10:36 AM

whahh! the Meetle is massive, I thorght it was tiny, the 1%er looks cool but is it a pre-version of a slig or somthing to do with sligs because of it robotic legs can sombody tell more or send a link about more info on the 1%er?

Wings of Fire 06-09-2008 10:39 AM

InB4Max.

Zerox 06-09-2008 11:40 AM

This has been bugging me for sometime.

Where does the name 1%er even come from? What does it mean?

abe is now! 06-09-2008 11:49 AM

I have a question: I don't have Munch's Oddysee and I played only some levels of it. There is a level where Scrabs kill Scrubs... what is it? And why can Scrabs kill Scrubs? Where were Scrubs before they have been killed by Scrabs? I attach a screenshot of that level.

Wil 06-09-2008 02:24 PM

The 1%er is not an early version of a Slig. It’s an early version of a Meetle. I suspect it was repurposed at some point during development. The conceptual development of Meetles seems very complicated. Here’s some information I’ve worded previousy (and which I found very easily with a simple Google search):
http://www.oddworldforums.net/showpo...&postcount=297
http://www.oddworldforums.net/showpo...8&postcount=27
http://www.oddworldforums.net/showpo...&postcount=537

Abe is now! That level is ‘Brewery to Be’, which takes place in a valley surrounding a windmill temple. Scrabs live in the valley. The Scrubs are kept in industrial pens—you can see the entrance to one—so if Abe tries to free the Scrubs while the Scrubs are still around, loss of Mudokon life will shortly follow. Abe and Munch need to lure the Scrabs into holding pens first.

MeechShrykull1029 06-09-2008 05:23 PM

On the picture of the Song Engine thing, there are 3 characters: Abe, Munch, and someone else. Is the 3rd one Squeek?

used:) 06-09-2008 05:30 PM

Yes. :tard:

Wil 06-10-2008 02:18 AM

It’s a design for Munch’s Oddysee, why would Squeek be there. It’s just some Mudokon guide.
