TV on the Radio.

I enjoy.

OANST 06-23-2009 06:18 AM

Abbey has been forcing us to listen to Ocean Man by Ween, every single time we get in the car. She freakin' loves that song.

For those of you who like Animal Collective, I recommend that you listen to their Water Curses ep. It's just about the most perfect album that they have ever made. It's just too bad that it only has four songs.

Anonyman! 06-23-2009 10:36 AM

OOOOOWASHHAAWN MAAAAAAAAAAAANG TAAAAAAYK MEEEEEEEEEEH BAAAAAAAAAA TAH HAWAAAND

Yeah. I loved it, then listened it to it more than a few times and it got ridiculously old.

Leto 06-24-2009 05:18 PM

animal collective = owf's new aquabats?

AC are fun, but I can't listen to them that often.

new sunn
wtf was this. the first is nice, the second and third track are pretty piss, and the last track is them trying to 'branch out' and experiment with being all pretty and melodic and stuff. do not want. i mean, it's nice, but it's not what i really want to listen to when putting on a sunn record

MA 06-26-2009 02:37 PM

found a load of Simon & Garfunkel stuff. very different but i think its decent.

Mac Sirloin 07-03-2009 11:16 AM

I downloaded bought "In Silico" by Pendulum. Fucking awesome.

Laser 07-03-2009 11:26 AM

I bought (yes bought) Murmur Deluxe Edition by R.E.M. Amazing album, truly amazing, although some of the special live stuff is slightly ropey

Wings of Fire 07-07-2009 07:55 PM

I have introduced myself to Demoscene and I have to say, I'm quite partial to it. Fishtro and Robotic Warrior in particular are quite epic.

Leto 07-07-2009 08:11 PM

loldemoscene. too haxor for me.

Although I often think the same way when bands do different things, it really doesn't make sense. We shouldn't confine bands to certain styles just because that's what we're used to them doing.

Leto 07-08-2009 01:19 AM

I listen to music to suit my mood. the album didn't fit the mood I'm usually in when I want to put on a Sunn record. savvy, or you gotta white-knight a bit more?

jesus christ

kayne west's latest jaunt
I really, really hate Kayne West. he's a huge egotistical cunt (who designs some mighty fine kicks) and I've hated all of his other artistic output, but I can't stop listening to this vocoded bliss. singularly, each track isn't anything amazing, but all together, the tracks flow really nicely and it's something very casual to put on and enjoy without thinking

OddjobAbe 07-26-2009 02:44 AM

I received my Limbomaniacs album yesterday. It's actually quite good, but it's a little cheesy in some areas (but having said that, what funk isn't?). Not as weird as my usual listens, but it's not exactly normal.

I have also started listening to Frank Zappa's "Apostrophe" again. Excellent stuff.

Mac Sirloin 07-27-2009 07:39 AM

Listening to Velvet Revolver at some random recommendation on Youtube. I quite like them.

OANST 07-27-2009 08:40 AM

Lots of new music coming up. New Sufjan Stevens, Modest Mouse, Holopaw, and Circulatory System just off the top of my head. Looks to be a good year when you take into account all of the amazing shit that has already been released.

Leto 07-27-2009 08:45 PM

New Why?, OANST? You seem the type to listen to Why?.

New Modest Mouse tracks so far haven't made me crap my pants with joy, yet.

OANST 07-28-2009 06:42 AM

I think that Modest Mouse's best days are behind them. I haven't expected much from them since We Were Dead.

And I am unfamiliar with Why.

MA 07-28-2009 10:18 AM

just downloaded Idumea. i Wikipedia'd it and couldn't find any info on the song or its origins, but apparently its in the class of 'Appalachian' music. i may be mistaken, but i think it was originally sung in the 1800's or early 1900's.

anyway, you either love it or hate it. personally, i love it seeing as i like this type of music.

Mac Sirloin 07-28-2009 12:55 PM

Getting into Pendulum a bit more. I need a new MP3 player, I think. Probably gonna buy one after this latest coffee van shenanigans.

Leto 07-28-2009 12:58 PM

gdi why all white boys gotta listen to pendulum.

Mac Sirloin 07-29-2009 01:41 PM

This is why

Wings of Fire 07-29-2009 03:21 PM

Been listening to a lot of older Skyclad recently as well as lots and lots of lovely hypnotic j-rock.

YEAH BITCHES

Yes. But i did like the new songs that came out on vinyl WHICH I OWN. Satellite Skin and Guilty Cocker Spaniels. Better than WWDBTSEADSFJADhwhateverthefuck.

Hobo 07-30-2009 03:27 AM

Deltron 3030 - Deltron 3030 is a fucking solid album.

Xavier 07-30-2009 08:42 AM

I pre-ordered the first Guilt Machine album, prog-rock/metal by mastermind Arjen Lucassen (Ayreon)

I've been refraining from listening to it until I get the full e.p. in a few weeks. I'm hoping to like it. God knows, I adore their others.

OANST 08-10-2009 01:26 PM

I kept waiting for someone to post in here so I wouldn't have to double post, but you fuckers never did. Anyway, I picked up "No One's First And You're Next", the new ep by Modest Mouse. Aaaaand......It's good! It really is good! It's far superior to "We Were Dead...". The fact that "The Whale Song", "Autumn Beds", and "King Rat" were left off of "We Were Dead.." is more than enough reason to fire the shit out of whoever has been whispering in Brock's ear. If those three songs had replaced the three worst songs on that album it would have been up there as one of the best MM albums ever made.

Aside from that, I would like to make a recommendation to those of you who are into Mr. Bungle. Check out Revolting Cocks. This shit should be right up your alley. Particularly the album "Finger Licken' Good".

Anonyman! 08-12-2009 07:41 PM

I know right?

Also, HOLY FUCK Ugly Casanova. Brilliant. Only just now cared to listen to it. Damn i am an idort.

OANST 08-12-2009 08:47 PM

If you like Ugly Casanova then make sure to check out Holopaw. That's the band that the guy with the pretty voice comes from.

Laser 08-13-2009 03:42 AM

I just discovered The Stone Roses.

I have been listening to their first album and I have to say, its very good :D
