OOC: I would also like it if IloveHammy! and ZERO101 pay a little more attention to everyone else's posts, not just their occ's. Some of us trying to talk to their characters.
IC: Molt tried not to laugh hysterically when two of the Glukkons said something that was rather humorous to him. The first one had been insulted by a look, which usually didn't bug people around here. And normally he had to say something before they got ticked off. Who knew that someone could be that touchy? Molt also found it quite stupid for someone to ask if he had any other skills. It was like Arnie had not even glanced at his profile. Molt calmed himself down very casually and decided to talk some sense into the touchy Glukkon last. He would have a good discussion with Arnie anytime now. He commented with a tone of seriousness, "When I was hired by Slurg Barns 11, it was just re-opening and the only employees were, me, 24 newly borned Mudokons, and 5 Kinto slaves. I had to be taught by me boss, since he was the one who knew how everything needed to be done. He explained to me that I had to train the others how to fix up the place. That meant I needed to be told how to treat the machinery, clear the area from all gases, control the Boiler systems, and place animals in the fixed pens. I didn't do it all, I had the other employees help a little. So you might say I know how to train Mudokons and Kinto Slaves, how Magog Cartel factories function, how to treat and kill animals, and how to react when a gas leak is around. Yeah, I'm an all-purpose employee. I will do anything for ya. I was even in control of the security back then. So maybe I can be considered an expert on Magog Cartel meat-packing factories. I can't do anything else because I ain't got nothin' for no product factory involvin' other products. I have only worked at Vykker Labs for a while, but I was security back then. So yeah, what do ya think, Arn?" OCC: I seriousily had that planned to be said for quite some time. That didn't come straight from my head. IC: Slap took in what Praetyre had just said and took a good note of it. However, even though Stuey was in great shape, he was uneased by what kind of condition Arrack had. Even though it was normal for him to react that way, it disturbed him on the very idea he increases humidity all the time. He could understand why Arrack has such a condition, but he was still overly-concerned about this. But if anything was to come up, he would know what to do. Slap shoved aside the concern and continued. He carefully grabbed the rest of Stuey's skull and planted it into to mesh. Slap next carefully moved the mesh properly to fix the two pieces into a single piece, by making it look like the mesh was part of the skull. After moving it around, he made an observation on his work. He could see no abnormalities appearing around the skull. Slap decided it was time to continue onto the next step, which involved leaving the area. But first, he decided he could put Stuey back together. He grabbed the two pieces of skin on Stuey's head together and kept them together with one hand. He used the second hand to grab the artiflesh injector again. Poking one of the ends of cutting, he started operate the device, releasing the artiflesh onto the skin and slowly started to cover the slit of open space. The artiflesh started to connect them together with red, senstive skin, through the transformation. Slap found that he needed to watch it for a while after injecting the artiflesh to make sure it was working. Sure enough, no problems were occuring. Slap had next stepped back from Stuey and Arrack and plotted his next move. He had to somehow reactivate the genetic material of the brain cells he collected into Arrack. He knew how, yet it would take some effort in a field he had no experience in. Slap just had to type his frustrations down, as he got an idea. "Sir, do you have any experience in handling nano-technology? I need it since I need to have the unactive, brain cell producing genetic material be re-activated and transfered into Arrack. I suspect I need to use gene therphy, since I have to get a virus to transfer it into the old brain cells. Yet, I have no viruses to operate on. So I need some transfering technology that can assist me. But, I am a doctor, not an engineer. So I need assistance. Are you familiar with this field?" |
IC: #0012 considered termination of his recent non-organic models. He had thought about it, and decided that the Cieb-org units for boiler maintenance were not needed. He kept them in storage at his room back at the barracks. He returned to RuptureFarms in a matter of two days. He didn't want to destroy his units. His consideration for termination of the units was dismissed when #0012 thought about the work he'd spent on them. He now would walk around the facility looking for the first person that he could get a proper job from. The first thing on #0012's mind was in fact to find an excuse to annihalate Goshhe...
Goshhe had spent his time helping slaughter the Scrabs while he'd been gone. He'd not seen much of #0012 alately, though. He was damn glad about this. OOC: Many parts in this post had been pointless, I just neded to get the Cieb-orgs to leave the RPG, as I took into consideration what dripik said. I'm sorry for wasting space with my last few posts, and in future, I will think more about what I am doing. My next four posts will be set BEFORE #0012 got rid of the Cieb-orgs, explaining what fills the gap with Goshhe, and what was going through #0012's mind. Again, apologies for any wasted space AND the quality of this post. This post is definately NOT up to my standards. |
OOC: Dripik, if hilarious posting was a crime, you would be more sought after than Osama Bin Laden.
IC: Praetyre replied to Slap; "Arrack is still rising steadily towards his peak, otherwise stable. I do have some limited knowledge of piloting nanovehicles. But as I have said, I cannot leave the monitors without severely limiting this surgical operation. As such, you will have to get the nanotech yourself, and I will guide you through the process and control of nanotechnology." Praetyre deactivated the surgical shield once again, and ordered his suit to dispense a nanoinjector with a NanoCarrier MK IX and with a NanoRemote. He stretched out his metallic hand again, offering the injector and NanoRemote to Slap. |
OOC: OddjobAbe, I would be careful about your timelines. Two days takes about two RPGs to get through around these parts. Yes, time goes very slow around here, but we can't rush it.
IC: Slap glanced at Praetyre and looked at him wearingly. He typed down, "Sir, I have used nano technology to help the other surgeons at my old job to do gene therphy before. I just do not know how to program and construct nano-technology. I just need to know whether or not you are able to tell me how to cause gene-threphy to happen. Can you tell me what kind of technology I need, being the fact I doubt there are such labels in this facility. So, do you believe this place would have the ability to construct such a machine? What kind of machines will I need to make these kinds of mechinisms as well?" He grabbed the injectors and NanoRemote and placed them in his apron. He would later need them. |
OOC: Okay, due to slow time, I'll reduce it to half an hour. Thanks for the tip, Slaveless.
|
Praetyre replied to Slap;
"You only need the NanoRemote, the NanoCarrier IX, and the injector, which can be switched to suck. Simply travel into his neural area after injecting the NanoCarrier IX into his bloodstream, acquire the necessary genetic code, then suck out, inject into Arrack's neural area, and insert the gene. Nanotechnology is not a matter of programming, as the batteries for an independent nanite would run out very, very, very quickly. You have to manually control it with a remote, kind of like a video game. It has a camera eye on all sides, and a grasper, in addition to a little option for speed changing and direction changing." |
OOC: Something that's bugged me for a while about this RPG- since time is so slow, and we're only in v.6, has only a week passed since the factory was re-opened? Because new employees are coming and going thick and fast if that's the case!
IC: Arthur sighed. "Oh, right. Well, he's not at the Statons, not here, an' his office ain't on this floor. Does he inspect employees when they're working?" Dek shook hsi head. "Regrettably no, I don't know where RG is. If h gets to Molt before we do, this factor ycould become a full scale warzone. We'll have to hurry. Get any Sligs you can find willing to come, armour them up and get them batons and Snuzis from the armoury. We don't want Molt killed. I feel responsible for his problems, in a way- I know he was trouble before, but I cna't help but think the implants for his arm and eye I gave him may have disturbed him a little." |
ooc: MM, you're probably right, (I'd say we might just be on week 2 actually, but I'm not sure) but the best way of dealing with things to is to blindly ignore that fact, get on with it, and pretend that a lot more time has passed than really has.
Waiting for Arkanzor before I post as Krik. IC: Anni lead the way as they headed downstairs and back out into the stockyards. Jim was somewhat relieved to be out in the open again. They headed on their way to the factory. (ooc: Sorry for such a short post. There's only so much you can say about walking down some stairs and out of a building.) |
IC: Sturg noticed that the crew was headed towards the factory "Uh, I are liable to be going through any particularly...well...dangerous areas? As in, will we be going through the main part of the factory, or are we sneaking through more secluded areas?"
|
ooc: Sorry if I ever edit my post. If I ever do it's because I spot some spelling error or typo, that I only notice after I posted.
IC: Ark fell to the ground, landing in a sitting position. "While, I'm right back were I stated," Ark whispered to him self, "At least a didn't have to shoot. Though, I would like to know what just happened. No use worrying about it though." Letting out a sigh, Ark got to his feet again. As Ark hosted his gun he head a slight crackle sound. Feeling in his holster, he pulled out a folded sheet of paper. "Your kidding." Ark exclaimed as he unfolded the paper, reveling a map of Rupture Farms. *I thought I'd lost this.* Ark thought looking at the map. *OK, so the grinding station is there.* "Right, so off I go." Ark said aloud, right before his stomach rumbled. *Though, than again I'm near the cafeteria.* Turning around, Ark walked into the cafeteria. Grabbed a scrap leg, and chose a seat that no one was near. Sniffing the scrap leg Ark thought that he didn't think he would willing be eating a scrap leg again. He than took a bite, *wow this isn't to bad,* Ark thought before eating the rest of the leg. |
I will not be able to post for a while.:(
ooc:I'm really sorry to do this, but I will not be able to post anything for about a week or so,because of some school stuff.Just thought I should let you know.:)Hang in there till' I get back!
|
OOC: awwwwwwwwww man that sucks.
|
ZERO101, I notice that you have been previously speaking to IloveHammy!, but one of my characters are trying to talk to you, so if you wish, endure conversation with Goshhe.

Jim answered, "Well if we're going looking for Arnie we'll probably have to look around alot." He disliked the concept almost as much as Sturg probably did.
Anni said to Jim, Somi and Sturg, "Maybe you three could wait out here while I look for Arnie." Jim wasn't sure if he would rather go with Anni and risk running into a slig or staying out in the stockyards with the animals. "Maybe... we could go back to the tower? I mean, we're not likely to run into anybody there?" -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Krik watched a little suspiciously as the mud headed off towards the cafeteria but decided not to worry about it. It wasn't at all his problem, and if the native did blow up Rupture Farms after Krik had left the only thing he would lose would be Dionysia, which, he mused, wouldn't be a particularly great loss. He made his way upstairs towards Arnie's office, hoping to find the glukkon. |
IC: "Good point. It's uninhabited, and if some freaks actually do come to investigate, we should be able to see them coming from up there. Depending on how long we're there, presumably not likely more than a few hours maybe, but there's still a water supply. Food is less of a problem, obviously, but the water's there, so..."
|
Ike walked into Rupture Farms. Everything seemed so... mysterious to Ike. He'd never been in a place like this. He took a look around the place, took in his surroundings, and walked around.
He read a few signs that were leading to the Manager's Office. "I guess I'd better speak to the manager if I am going to get a job here..." He said silently to himself, in his distant voice. He continued towards the office and saw another person heading to what seemed to be the way he was going. "Um... Hello. I am Ike. Do you know where I can find the Manager? I uh... would like a job here." He asked the person politely, not wanting to give off a bad first impression. |
OOC: That's a pretty good start Arxryl, I just thought I'd point out, although it'll probably be fine, most people arrive by train and I'm not sure if there is actually any entrance to Rupture Farms that is easily accessable on foot. But I probably don't know what I'm talking about, so... :p
The other thing, that I think a few people here should really start doing, is when referring to another character, making it sound like your own character's observation is perfectly fine, but make sure you identify who it is, like by using parentheses or something. For example, saying: "Then he noticed a mudokon standing by the grinder" gives everyone else some hint of who it is (they're next to a grinder), but saying something like: "Then he noticed a mudokon (Bob) standing by the grinder" means that everyone knows that it's Bob that you're referring to. Hope this helps, and welcome to the RPG! :D I've also just realised that putting Ralph to work at the grinders has severely limited what I can do with him :p Slaveless, not meaning to be a nuisance, but can you remind me where each of your mudokons in the grinding area is and what each is doing? (I've sort of lost track and it's going to be difficult to search through the whole thread to find out) :p IC: As Ralph continued working, he noticed another glukkon (Marv) walk up to the group. Perhaps Rupture Farms was trying to get a council of glukkons here again? Then he noticed a metallic slig (Molt) enter the grinding area down the same stairs he'd come down himself earlier and walk up to the glukkons. A cyborg slig? Must be the work of those sick Vykkers, he reasoned. He'd seen one of them here earlier. He would have to check this place out when he got the chance, and see what else they'd done around here... |
Sorry. I just didn't think I needed to post that he came on train... ;) whoops.
And that's a good idea. with the (Put reference to character here) idea. Ike asked the person walking to the manager's office, (Krik) the question. OOC: Not agian mind you, but just inserting a reference to the character. |
OOC:Ok sorry goshhe I din not see you.
IC:*looks at water* (WHY THE HELL WAS I FRIENDS WITH SOME ANIMALS OF ODDWORLD) *grabs water* (hehehe.....heh heh now I will make sure that I stay evil) said zero gulping the water. (Odd it should have made me evil and cruel) *ZAP* *POW* BOOM* (ahhhhh....my odd that hurts) A cloud of smoke shot out of his suit and covered the cafeteria. (MUHAHAHAHAHA, now I could care less about the creatures of this planet) *looks at goshhe* (hello, are you lookin for a job?) ------------------------------------------------------------------ (I have to ask you, what the hell race are you)? |
IC: "Hiya. I've just arrived, so yeah, I'm looking for one. I can't seem to find any authority that can give me a job on a certain area." Goshhe said to Zero. "I would be a mudokon. Somehow, I appear different from the others. I've never seen a Glukkon with arms. What is it like to you, not needing a slig to do everything for you? You must feel very much different from the other Glukkons." Goshhe started to think to himself; 'Ah, I seem to get much better responses from speaking nicely to people. I'll continue to speak, see if I get any good answers."
OOC: ZERO101, no need to be sorry about not seeing Goshhe. Just scan people's previous posts, just in case someone is trying to talk. That's what I do. No one ever wants to talk to me. *starts to cry* :( |

Arxryl, if you'd say the species of the character you're after that also helps as it narrows it down. Or put the name, it doesn't really matter either way, but if you'd put 'vykker' instead of 'person' in your post it would immediately have been clear who you were talking about as there aren't any other vykkers walking towards Arnie's office. (And don't worry about your entrance too much. It's just if people say their characters start in Rupture Farms or have been in there for years or something that it becomes a problem. When I first joined W@RF my first character walked up to the front of the building so no worries). IC: Krik turned around sharply to see a mud chasing after him. His currently foul temper was not improved at the thought of having it hanging around while he talked to Arnie, nor at having it tagging along if the boss wasn't in his office. Still, what could he do? Maybe one day if he could get those blackskins working and on the market this sort of thing wouldn't ever be his problem again. He gave a long-suffering sigh and told the mud, "I'm on my way to the Boss's office. Follow me if you must." -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- "Alright, that's great then," Anni announced. "I'll go look for Arnie and you guys can head back to the tower!" Jim still felt unsure but Anni had run off before he could say anything, so he turned to the animals, "Let's go then, I guess..." -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Dionysia had no memory of climbing stairs, or of coming out into daylight, but she found herself lying on the roof of Rupture Farms. A strong wind was blowing and it made her shiver. Perhaps it was the cold that had brought her back round from whatever state she had been in. The last few minutes, after she exploded (she shuddered when she remembered) at Krik and Gappiqu was all... gone. She didn't remember any of it. She tried to pull herself into a sitting position but ended up huddled down with her arms wrapped around her legs and her back bent against the wind. She was scared, and she hated herself for it. She was more than scared, she was terrified, of how she had lost control of herself so completely, and of those times it had happened before. She was scared that she had no memory of what had just happened, and she was terrified of how Krik would react to her outburst at him. And of how Gappiqu would feel. Oh Odd, what would he be thinking of her now? What everyone else thought of her, she guessed, and what she thought of herself... Emotionally unstable... She was a flawed prototype of an important experiment and she deluded herself to think she was anything like the finished product should be... Low threshhold to pain... There were so many faults in her... Imbalanced biochemistry requiring frequent chemical supplements... She couldn't even live without those injections Dr Krik kept giving her. She was dependant on him, she owed him her life, and she had exploded in his face. She was ashamed to feel tears unning down her cheeks, when another more chilling thought came to her. What if something else was wrong with her? What if something was happening to her that they didn't know about, that would kill her, or send her insane? She could die in the next few days and they would never have been able to see it coming! That was why they kept doing those tests on her, to see if anything else was going wrong. Oh Odd, who knew what could happen to her? |
OOC:Thank you splat, yeah it helps if you sorta tell what you are, like me. Hey splat where are you we might come and see ya.
IC:*slaps goshhe* "muhahahaha,'' "oh my gosh sorry it's that water it allways makes me a freak. (at least I am back to my kind and nice self) thought zero. *rubs chin and looks up goshhe* "hummm... I think you can work for me, you see I am a glockstar and am one of the most well know glukkon and was glukkon of the year 3 years in a row. "how would you like to be my body guard that can kick sum ass for me?'' "If you take the job you must want to look like the z man huh? I have some gear and stuff here. *pulls out gear* I got a gold Z hat like mine so it's a tan glockstar hat, a blue glockstar outfit with a GOLD G on it and a gun or two"heh heh". "And the pay will be 1,400 moolah a day" *pulls out moolah* OOC:HEY GUYS, GUESS WHAT, ZERO IS READY TO RE OPEN ZEROMART, NOW I HAVE TO KNOW DRIPIK WOULD YOU LIKE TO ADD ZEROMART ON TO RUPTURE FARMS? IT IS A 4,000,000 MOOLAH STORE AND WE COULD MAKE IT HALF RF AND HALF ZM, OR COULD I OPEN IN IN A PART OF RF? |
OOC: I NEED TO KNOW, WHAT IS SECKTO IS HE LIKE A GLUKKON OR A LEACH.
AND WHAT IS THE LITTLE ODDWORLD THING UNDER YOUR NAME THAT SAYS CHIPPUNK??? |
OOC: Sorry Splat, I forgot your character was a Vykker. :) whoops again, and I'll read the profile thread a bit more carefully this time. :)
Ike saw the obvious frustration in the Vykker's face. Ike thought: Well... I don't want to make anyone mad or anything... He then spoke. "Well, um... okay." Ike began to follow the Vykker. "Sorry to cause you this inconvienience." He gave off a weak smile, and then sobered up. |
Hmm here goes nothing: (my first time :D)
IC: Ol' Crabby sat in his cage, trying to get to sleep. Nothing happened. He, once again, couldn't get to sleep. He howled, and the howl echoed throughout the room. "SHUT UP!" said a slig, that was patrolling near by. Ol' Crabby spit onto the floor in disgust. If only he could talk... He heard the snoring of the other animals, which he didn't like. Looks like it's gonna be one of those days...he thought. Did I do good? :spin: |
IC: *Turns to Zero* "I could certainly consider working for you. If you give me some time to think, I'll let you know my decision. It's a very good offer though, and I'd be willing to take it... so yes, I will consider it. I'll let you know my decision as soon as I've made it. And also, if you get the urge to slap me again when drinking water, please try and concentrate on the table. My bones ache now. Just one question though - does Arnie allow people to beat mudokons? A slig with the serial number #0012 beats the hell outta me every day. 'Cause if he's not allowed to beat me, I will report him. But anyways, I shall definately consider the job, and will let you know as soon as I've come to a decision."
OOC: Zero, Sekto is an octopus thing. I've forgotten what they're actually called. He just stole the body of the olden steef. Also, the 'oddworld thing' beneath your username is your current status. It took me a while to figure that out. You attain a higher status every time you post a certain amount. (Just in case you didn't know.) |

|
OOC: Well said, MM. ZERO, I said this before, I say it again, you really should reconsider RPing here, in this thread. Or in the whole sub-forum. The stuff you write is too random, when you have an idea, you write it down instantly, without any planning and introduction. Not to mention the use of capitals in multiple lines. So the answer is: no.
----------------------------------- "Quite an asset of skills you have, Molt." said Arnie, after listening to the Slig. "You know, I'm in a difficult situation, seeing what you've already done around here. I'm not sure you wouldn't plan attacks on workers anymore." Otto didn't have anything to say about this, so he looked around and saw Rick and RG coming from the Production Lines. "Strolling in worktime? Have a good reason for... What's with RG?" asked Otto, eyeing the facial features of the robot. Rick gulped and was about to start, when RG interrupted. "I had a slight clash with two Sligs organics in the basement. But don't worry, Glukkon organic, as soon as I get myself fixed, I will hunt them down. Both of them." "But who where those two Sligs?" asked Arnie, turning to the newcomers. "Goresplatter... and Gappiqu. Gappiqu smashed RG's eyes, stole his rifle and ran after some Vykker, then Goresplatter held us back from capturing Gappiqu." said Rick. "What? Gappiqu? Not him again!" said Arnie, disbelievingly. |
ooc: Alf_shall_rise, read the forum rules, then read the first post of this thread. No random characters are allowed and your character needs some sort of backstory, even if it's very brief.
IC: Krik didn't return the smile. He didn't like polite muds any more than he liked any other muds. If anything they were worse, because they started acting above ther position, as if they thought themselves of equal intelligence with better creatures (say for example, vykkers). Still, now he'd got this thing tagging along behind him there wasn't much he could do about it, and at least it meant he could keep the thing out of trouble. "Follow me, then." He said sharply, feeling inexplicably uncomfortable after doing so for some reason. A short walk later up a flight of stairs brought them to the front of Arnie's office. Krik cleared his throat officially and knocked on the door. (ooc: Arnie's not in the office so we can expect an awkward silence about now). |
ooc: @Splat: eh?? But I made a profile and some history of my character. I said how he got to Rupture Farms and everything. :fuzconf:
|
OOC: The main problem is that you used a random character, ASR. That is not allowed, it's in the RPG Rules, that's why Splat said you should read it.
|
I was referring to the slig.
|
oh sry my bad.
|
Ike stepped into the room, and looked around. Seeing as no one was around, he reached into his pocket and pulled out his notebook.
He also pulled out a very old looking pencil from his pocket. Despite it's age, it was still very sharp. Ike thought to himself: "Well, this is a very different room. I will have to be very careful with the details..." He began to sketch the room's outline slowly, and then gained speed as he worked on the details. It looked amazingly accurate for it being on a peice of notebook paper. He put the notebook and pencil away and stood silently... |
OOC:THANK YOU GOSHHE, and lol munch master and dripix....HAHAHAHAHAHA
|
Splat's edit:
ZERO101, first of all, use the edit button like everyone else. It's not hard to see (bottom right corner of the post box, next to the 'quote' button). If you keep double-posting for no reason you're likely to find yourself in trouble. Second, if you check the forum rules you will see that flaming (unprovoked insulting of another member) is against the forum rules. Do it again and you can definately expect a warning. |
OOC: 1. Double posting is bad, mmmkay?. 2. Regardless of what religion you follow, please, for the sake of my eyes, give up posting in caps for Lent. 3.Munch's Master is a highly respected member of this forum, as is Dripik, and as such they both sure as hell know what they are talking about when it comes to RPing. and 4. Barbra Streisand! Couldn't resist it. But anyway, just start acting your age, and you'll do fine.
|
OOC:
First off, good post Patrick. Secondly, butt hole? Jeez, are you Biff from Back to the Future or something? Come up with a better insult next time. Next you'll be calling me a 'big dummy', and that could be too offensive for me to handle! Thirdly, dripik, you didn't respond to Arthur and Dek in your IC post. Please do, I can't do anything until then! |
