I didn't really think too much of it at the time because it didn't seem to be connected to anything else, but I screencapped it anyway just in case. :D

1029.io isn't showing this same configuration of highlighted letters spelling 'NOTE' anymore, though. Or at least it didn't when I reloaded the page a few times just now.

Also, Xav, thank you for updating the Wikia! I wonder if there is a way we can get the original movie file... but then again, this may end up being the clues we follow for Image 4 and maybe then they'll give us a better quality downloadable version.

Well everything I can remember about NOTE is that it actualy abbreviation of NineOneTwoEight.

Ugh, has anyone figured out anything? I'm so impatient to just move on to the next part of the ARG. I've loved following along to the beat of the forum even if I do lag behind when it comes to solving these puzzles, and now that they've dried up for the time being I find myself impulsively checking in whenever and wherever I can and it drives me crazy!

Well I saved a copy of the highligted letters early Feb and as far as I can tell it has always been like that, it only shows up randomly after a few refreshes of the page:

As Silver angel just posted we always assumed those letters were highlighted as a reference to 8291, Eight Two Nine One

I found this in 1029.io code. If I remember right, words weren't there earlier.

Indeed, that's new to me... I'm not sure when this was added but as Nemin said, this is probably part of the previous puzzle.

I'm starting to believe the sales have nothing to do with the ARG at all besides bringing new people to the series.

Still remaining positive about it, even if we met a dead end with that messed up code.
If we don't get a clue after this sale, I'm not sure what we're really going to do. Unless they kick in with a new n' tasty discount and leave us dead for another week.

After all, this whole ARG is damn huge and we are barely halfway through it. You people are amazing for figuring it out so far.

Maybe we solved it too fast? i think they want to have a distance with each photo, maybe by the end of the ARG, we will get a trailer or a release date! or both, that's why they have to take long to give more clues

Given that PS is hardware accelerated and that a lot of the stuff I did in ARGs recently is photo manipulation, yes. Interestingly it will.

That was a web scan though, different beast and has nothing to do with what I meant, not that it would be of much use in this. It was just to note the differential in calculus power of the upgrade. We thought of bruteforcing something but for a different ARG, and in the end it wasn't necessary anyway.

Xavier definitely agree with you we did cause that unfortunate event regarding a mud im certain OWI will reveal something this Weekend since its April on Saturday actually they said wait until April....

The guys over at GameDetectives seem to have completely given up at this point (discord very quiet and wiki not even covering the video)

Would be nice to have Ed or the Spirit of 1029 provide us with a better version of that video so we can have a good look at those codes.

I took the screenshots from youtube myself, but yeah, not having a single freakin' method to get the best quality out of youtube pissed me off more than I care to admit.

I'm new here, and don't really know much about decoding things, but I wanted to see if anyone else had seen stuff I'd seen, so whatever, let's find out.
I've been working on the third code (http://i.imgur.com/ApQyUP6.png) and this is what I've got:

I think this is the finished code but I can't confirm if every letter is right, but I think it is.
The first three letters (before the dot) if put together make NMJ. If we put this through ATBASH and then Caesar -12 we get ABE.
Using this for the Vigenere Cipher we can: (In order so far):
NM --> (CAESAR - 9) --> ED

J.D --> (ATBASH Cipher, Vigenere Cipher: ABE (Twice), CAESAR Cipher +18) --> I.M

WSQWCDIB --> (Vigenere Cipher: ABE, ATBASH Cipher, CAESAR Cipher -21) --> INSIDFWE

So, at the moment we can get "Ed I'm Insid(FW)e. (Not sure what the FW is about or if it's wrong).

Even if this is all wrong, it was still fun to waste some time on. :stuck_out_tongue:
Ok, that's me done talking. I'm gonna see if the rest of the code can lead anywhere.

Tried several cleanups, L/R counter-phasing, and a bit of this and that. Other than some (possible) backmasking, and a pretty clear panned audio (maybe slightly transposed?) didn't find anything. Didn't try to invert and transpose one channel though, but I don't think there's anything intellegible in it. And if there was, might have been clipped through youtube's encoding. Probably nothing though.
