That's right. Since figuring out it was a Mudokon, they said they encrypting the 1st Photo. We looked after everything else, but OWI didn't say anything to it. So we're blind since this part. I think, the Tweets are parts to get more People to the ARG.
Me, myself & i was so goddamn hyped about Munch's Exoddus. At the very moment, it got canceled somethin' died inside me... and Stranger's Wrath didn't fill the hole, since it was only a Canon.
For the sake of Oddworld, i hope Soulstorm goes famous & the Story goes finaly on!

i take this thing in 2 timelines:

OLD TIMELINE: Abe's Oddysee, Abe's Exoddus, Munch's Oddysee (+Stranger's Wrath)

NEW TIMELINE (REBOOT): New N Tasty , Soulstorm , Munch's Oddysee "2.0" (the original one from Lorne's mind) (+Stranger's Wrath)

Now the only thing that we don't know is Munch's Exoddus. In the NEW TIMELINE , there are 2 ways:

1) or Soulstorm would probably have a big piece of story about Munch's Oddysee, so Munch's Oddysee will be "re-made" with the original story of Munch's Exoddus (so in short Munch's Oddysee will be Munch's Exoddus).

2) or Soulstorm will be the original "Abe's Exoddus" story only and then we'll have Munch's Oddysee "2.0" (original story without cuts) and Munch's Exoddus as apart.

Tell me what you're thinking about this.

Just an idea, but is there any chance the arrows refer to the image sections, so maybe the image names and the arrow order is another kind of code?

If they are waiting for us to find something, my guesses for where to look would be:

a) There's additional stuff hidden in the audio
b) We need to find a use for the numbers from the two numbers puzzles, 12 & 20
c) We need to find a use for the directional arrows from the image we cleaned up
d) We're intended to notice something about the collage picture which we haven't yet before we're allowed to proceed

Aw, it's a shame Munch's Exoddus never happened. I like Munch a lot so I think he really does deserve to get his story told properly at some point in the future.

I think the 2nd one would be better for Soulstorm. It would be better for the overall plot if they keep it simple with the story of Exoddus and then save any Munch stuff for a potential Munch's Oddysee 2.0

The first one could be a pain in the ass for OWI, since they need to remake the entire series in this case. And I don't think they're really going to add Munch in Soulstorm.

The second one a pain too due to the same reason of before, but more reasonable and affordable.

Anyhow I believe Soulstorm it's gonna be more than AE. A plot rebuilded, a new game for real. And I have the feeling that this game it's going to be more dark than Exoddus and the other titles. Something that we OW Fans never seen before. It could be the start of something new too, but not tasty for sure. Indeed, something disgusting (in the good way).

Did we ever figure out all of the arrows on the first image? My thought with them would have been to press the arrows keys on the soulstorm page to open an image or something. One of you guys would have probably spotted something for that in the page code though.

Still, maybe something to keep as a thought for later on in the ARG. Can't wait to see the cleaned up image.

Also, side note, I can't believe how much this forum is moving everytime I check it. I was never a big part of the earlier ARG stuff, hope I can lend some help for the rest of it!

I sort of straight-up asked OWI on Twitter if the arrows were relevant, but I didn't receive a response. It'd be strange for them to put them there with no meaning, but it doesn't look like they were required to solve this phase, nor were the math problems hidden in the source code of the /Soulstorm site.

The arrows can't really be substitutes for letters because there's only 8 variations of them. They can't really be numbers either for the same reason. I guess we'll have to wait and see.

Is there any way to see if there have been any updates to the various versions of NnT recently? Perhaps they added something to the game itself and this is a secret code to find it.

Steam keeps patch notes in the News section for each game.

I looked in there, but can't see any software updates ever. Perhaps OWI just don't bother posting in the news?

Also, given it looks like controller directions, perhaps it's only on consoles?

SteamDB keeps great record of things like that. Looks like NnT was last updated ~7 months ago, and it's various DLCs ~1 year ago.

Edit: Actually according to https://steamdb.info/sub/57689/history/ , NnT may have gotten a minor update as little as 4 months ago. Something happened 29 days ago but it appears it was maybe just a version/package number change.

Most of us already noticed and I thought it was Dripik. It could be everything, a mudokon, a glukkon or just a lamp. I guess we need to wait OWI to clean the image to be sure of what is it.

For me it looks the same. Alf was already recognizable when they put that pic for the first time, it was quite well clear already.

When we reveal the 5 pics will we also reveal Ed and if we reveal Ed will Alf's clear profile pic also be fully revealed? Then once we reveal the reveal of the reveal that reveals the reveal, will we finally get the reveal we've been waiting for?

At the end of this ARG the reveal will be revealed during the reveal, the storm will reveal it!

Hey everybody, first time posting, I just had a thought.

In the pieced together photograph, everyone has referred to the thing the mudokon is holding as a bullet or a bomb.

Are we absolutely sure that's what it is?

To me, it looks like a satchel of mining tools or something similar.

I might be wrong, but the shape isn't right for a bullet shell, and the "point" might actually be a pick or a hammer an angle.

Also, the numbers and letters on the mudokons chest match the ones on whatever he is holding.

Has this been suggested before? Sorry if it has, I'm new and this is my first ARG!

It's very likely that each different direction represents a different letter. They have patterns that generally seem to match English-language digraph frequencies. The blue arrow is either T or E: T is the most common letter at the start of a word, E the is most common letter in general. The blue arrow appears 6 times – 4 of which are the start of a word. E is a very common letter to start a word with.

If the blue arrow is T, the green arrow must be a vowel since it's followed by 2 Ts in the 4th word. The red and yellow arrows might be H and E, and the cyan arrow might be A.

I've been messing with this for a while, didn't manage to get a reasonable assignment, and the uncertainty of some arrows doesn't really help =/

I'm playing through exodus at the moment and I feel like this could be in the slig barracks, block 0, there is a a stage with 4 depressed mudokons behind electric gates. One has a deep voice, probably nothing but thought it fit the theme.

Yes this has been suggested by a few, myself included and yes we noticed the Numbers on the mud's chest match the bundle he's holding.
