Since day one, there are two areas they've absolutely no questions asked 110% nailed and improve upon - Paramonia and the temples! Scrabania also looks superior to the way it did in the old game.

Great work JAW! Now the temples might end up being my favorite locales!

Yeah, now I've got a similar layout to compare, it's easy to see how good these new assets are. I wonder how much of the difference in tone comes down to the simple resolution change - It's been observed by many that low-res graphics have a very crude, spooky quality.

But hey, Oddworld isn't a horror series. I've come to terms with that.

Anyone else think the paramites look small? In the original they seemed a bit bulkier and more fierce looking. What do you guys think when you see the latest tease?

I noticed they were smaller, yeah.

I'd imagine it's because in NnT they act even more like the pack animals they are supposed to be (hence the mad rush of them chasing Abe in the GDC trailer).

So I think that whilst they're smaller, there are more of them, or they're quicker or something like that.

Probably makes them differ from the Scrabs more :)

The heads on the new statues are looking down too far! It's not like the original and that glow! I mean c'mon guys! I know that the old fmvs were made from really old 3d program with a inferior lighting system compared to today's engines but c'mon!!!! You are ruining it JAW!!!!!

Good point. They could also be adding younger and older paramites too, which would be amazingly awesome to show off the little ones near the entrance and the bigger ones as guards in the final paramite trail. Like in the picture you posted, that one seems much bigger in size to the latest tease one in that other area.

I think the size thing may partly be due to where the actual camera is pointing, in the screenshot of the Paramonia nests, the camera is very close to Abe, which may make the Paramite appear larger.

Maybe we could have a gif to get an idea? Jaw_Alex *Hint Hint*.. ;)

Long time lurker here. Got a quick question. Being that New n Tasty is releasing on the PS4 first, if I were to purchase the game on roommates PS4, would I be able to download it onto my PS3 when it's released for the PS3?

I believe it's PSN cross-platform, which would mean you could download it from the relevant PSN account.

Or whatever it's called these days.
