I didn't say they weren't fun. I'm not a big Tarantino fan though.

Life of Pi. Awesome film! Go see or rent it in 3D!
|
What's it about?
|
Who cares, just GO AND BUY IT
|
:
It's based on a book about a boy who survives a shipwreck and is on a lifeboat with dangerous animals. Twist ending btw. http://movies.ndtv.com/images/reviews/lifeofpi.jpg :

I only twist nipples.

Back on topic, I also saw Skyfall. No idea why people are saying, "OMG IT IS GREATEST BOND EVAR!" or "OMG IT IS WURST BOND EVA!" because my personal opinion was: "MEH! IT WAS OKAY!" http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-0XvC290NjL...kyfall-pic.jpg |
New Bond was pretty boring.

|
They're all boring. Apart from Goldfinger.
|
Goldeneye was many things, but it was certainly not boring.
Same with You Only Live Twice. |
I didn't even know You Only Live Twice existed. And I don't think I've seen Goldeneye. I must be a philistine.
|
:
You live under a rock, to be more precise! |
:
Goldeneye has Sean Bean in before he became known as 'That guy who dies in everything he's in.' and James Bond and Hagrid go on a tank rampage through Moscow, or maybe Saint Petersburg. Who cares. My favourite modern Bond. By that I mean the only one I like (Not having seen Casino Royale). |
Casino Royale is the only Bond I've seen. It was decent.
|
See You Only Live Twice. It's set in Japan, stars a team of ninjas and has THE original volcanic lair.
Originally that was written without the has. Though corrected, I stand by the implication the volcano was a member of the cast. Quite possibly the most integral. |

In any case you're very silly. |
You Only Live Twice has Sean Connery as Bond, too, just as the icing on the cake. I'm not sure if it was just the era but he had something that the other Bonds didn't quite capture, for better or for worse.

|
Noooo way.
|
I've been watching a lot of Modern Family. Funny show.
|
the dark Knight rises. I disliked it.
Paranorman. I liked it. |
I still need to see Paranorman. At this point, there's no excuse for the fact that I haven't.
|
Dark Knight Rises had so many plot holes, cliches and downright bad writing choices, but for some reason I left the theater satisfied. Nolan did a decent job directing, I thought.
|
I understood every word that Batman said. It felt unsatisfying for some reason

I saw part of a new ballet adaptation of Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland on BBC4 the other night. It was shit.
The choreography was a typical post-Nijinsky affair (as far as I could tell), the music sounded hackneyed and archaic, as if it was trying to be somewhere between Stravinsky and Debussy (both great composers, but I think it's time to progress in terms of creating new material), and the only modern element was the use of projections to create backgrounds and special effects. I was also disappointed (but not surprised) that they decided to base their work off old material. I don't remember the last time I saw something actually original broadcast. Needless to say, I turned it off after a while, since I felt I was wasting my time watching someone else waste theirs. |
Idiocracy.
I liked it. |
Speaking of ballet, I recently finished Princess Tutu which has now become one of my very favourite anime.
It's ridiculously incredible and a crying shame that because of the title and premise people will listen even less than usual when I advise you to watch it and show your younger family/children how fantastic kids shows can be. |
