does anyone else h8 the flood? and wish they didn't appear in halo at all, I think there just annoying I liked it better when it was more about strategic batteling instead of mindless slaughter of annoying mutants. does anyone have a fav level I can't decide mine, maybe the truth and reconciliation.

I actually liked the Flood, in fact my favorite level was the library.

if your gonna go see a movie, go to Loewes Theatre. They'll be showing a Halo 2 trailer for most of their movies.

due to popular belief that a Halo 2 demo will be released on Aug. 24th (when the countdown on ilovebees.com ends), Frankie himself finally came forward and confirmed that there will be NO playable demo whatsoever. this makes me sad :(

What are your theories on what this means? I believe CJ has some rather good conclusions.

long story short- The plot of Halo-

the covenant are attacking reach, and cortana (the AI with all data on Earth) is on board the ship, the Pillar of Autumn. The PoA makes a blind jump into slipspace to try and get Cortana away from the covies. The PoA comes out near the gas giant, Threshhold, and orbiting the planet, is the ring world, Halo. The covies are already where the PoA jumped to, and they start attacking the ship. They also start to board the ship, hoping to capture Cortana and/or the captain of the ship, Jacob Keyes. On board the ship is also the cybernetic super-soldier, Master Chief. Master Chief takes Cortana, and stores her in his head (theres a slot for an AI chip). The PoA launches lifepods to land on the ringworld. Master Chief and a group of marines are among the last ones to launch off the ship.

When the life pods land, Master Chief rallies up the remaining marines from the PoA. He then discover that the Covenant have captured Keyes, and is being held abourd a covie ship. Master Chief then rescues him. Having done so, then then attack a covenant camp on a small island. They break through the perimiter and set up base at the island. Master Chief then continues to the deapest reaches of Halo, to try and find out what it's purpose is. When he reaches the control room, Cortana downloads the data on Halo, and discovers that it's basicly a giant super-weapon, desighned to destroy all sentiant life in the galaxy. She also discovers a terrifying secret hidden in the depths of Halo. She discovers that the ringworld is also the prison of monstrouse creatures known as the Flood. The covenant are using the "Prison Building" as a weapon-cache, unknowingly they are about to release the Flood.

Keyes captures a Covenant Elite, and interigates him about the weapons cache. Keyes and Marines go to investigate, and pillage as many weapons as they can. Master Chief hurries to the cache, hoping that he reaches the captain before he gets to the building. The covenant release the Flood, and lose many of their own. However, the covenant manage to once again contain the Flood. When Keyes arrives, he battles his way through the remaining covie resistance, and reaches what is supposedly the weapons room. They unlock the door, and enter the room. The Flood then attack and kill them all, except Sargeant Johnson, but he's not important now. When Master Chief reaches the prison building, he discovers that he's too late, and the Flood are now uncontainable.

The Covenant realize that the Flood are loose once again, and their leaders order that all ships abandon Halo. However, it is too late, and the Flood overwhelm the covies. I'm not gonna spoil anything else for you now. Go buy the game. You won't regret it.

This is what one person think it says, he also says this isn't everything.

"Theres a small Halo Installation inside Earth, this ones said to be under a large desert. In that Installation theres the Queen Flood Form. She can communicate with Flood throughout the galaxy, telepathecly.

Cortana goes insane and interfaces with the Queen Flood. 343 Guilty Spark teleports himself to that Installation and taps into the Human databanks."

Of course, it is very unlikely to be in the slightest bit true.

However, it is factual that the countdown is counting down to the release of the Halo 2 special in the Official Xbox Magazine, and no, it won't include a demo.

yes, there is a secret message about the ilovebees thing, although noone has been able to accuratly determine what it means. This could be it, or it could not. Although Cortana going insane wouldn't surprise me at all, seeing how she was acting at the end of the third book.

I'm pretty fucking bored of Halo 1 & the Halo 2 hype.

I second that. The hype for Halo 2 has just gone now.....

They hype is still there in my opinion its just people are impatient. I myself am very impatient still about it coming out in November, but I rather have a game that is probably perfected and going to be one of the best games ever made, rather than missing features and more etc.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion, I mean I could be seriously wrong and if it were t be a major disappointment I think theres going to be a lot of pissed off people. But I think Bungie is going to deliver they've spent 3 years and there is major dedication in making sure this game gives that experience that we all expect and the experience that might truly be amazing and better than the original. Just my two cents...

I think it'll be just as good as the first game. No better, no worse.

I think it will be better. I'm sure it will take a lot longer to get bored of compared to the first. That happened after a couple of months for me.

I fogot about Xbox Live..... but I dont have it. Oh well, back the to bots as usual then.....

I think the story mode is going to be great. Cant wait for me and Lucipher to burst in and kill everything, just like old times.

I just see that as an x-box one not halo...I mean its fookin green and almost any computer game thingie which is green = x box / Xbox thingie or game.The normal one looks better to me.

Wow this thread is still going..... hmm I want one of those cases for the game cool...... oh and btw technically Halo is the best game ever made but it might not be everybody's favorite but it's a fact....... and Tom clancy's splinter cell got the highest rating ever, but as said in OXM "we would of gave Halo a 10 but we rated it just based upon the demo level, if we had more time to play the whole game and see how people loved the game then Halo would of recieved a 10 out of 10" but since they didn't realize how the game would become the best selling game ever and still rising and they didn't play the whole game through Halo got a 9.5 and splinter cell with a 9.6. :confused:
