You bought a bad album from a bad artist and you felt the need to post a huge picture about it? Okay.
|
Nice table though
Good grain |
Personally I dislike the grain here. Too less grain-y
|
So I just found out that The Beach Boys are coming to Adelaide as part of their latest tour. I have to see them. tickets go on sale in 10 days and I'll be counting each one carefully.

I recently found out that the last chorus in this song is my favourite chorus ever:
And Steamer_King, have you ever listened to SYL? If not you totally should, I recommend the New Black Album. It's more accessible than the other albums, in my opinion. |
:
Until now, City has been my favourite album by SYL. I really like their energy on the album. Right now, I'm listening to DTP - Ghost and Deconstruction. |
City is my favourite album by SYL, and one of my favourite metal albums. Devin Townsend in general though had too many great albums to pick a favourite.
Also, The Dillinger Escape Plan is one of my favourite bands: |
50 years in and they've still got it.
|
Got what? The ability to write sickeningly sweet melodies for cheesetastic songs?
|
It has that typical Beach Boys feeling that made them so popular.
I'm buying the album today and I'm hoping for some more mature Pet Sounds styled stuff somewhere in there, but even if there isn't I'll enjoy it. You can't not smile listening to that. e: I've listened to the album 3 times and I really like it. The song I posted here is definitely one of the three notably weak songs and feels like it's an old Beach Boys song for the sake of being an old Beach Boys song. The last suite is really powerful and the rain at the end of Summer's Gone is like the train at the end of Caroline No, albeit a hell of a lot less eerie. |
I've never liked the Beach Boys beyond singing along in the car to some of their classics. They were very talented, but very uninteresting to me.
|
I've been getting into TV On The Radio recently. I don't know why I put them off for so long, they're actually very talented and creative. Their blend of indie rock and funky electronic stuff sounds really unique. |
I'm learning to play the Bass. First song I want to pick up is this.
In hindsight Gorillaz are probably the reason I want to play the bass, they've got a lot of great riffs carrying their songs. |
I'm a bass player myself, I don't own one at the moment but I've been playing electric for near 6 years and have pretty much self-taught bass with either my friend's bass or my mom's friend, who usually lends me his. I like to play stuff like this:
] Seinfeld theme is fun as hell to play, and it can get you used to slapping/popping techniques. It's not nearly as difficult as it might sound, either. Love bass. |

Those are just the last two I remebered. I just got the album Dear Science and I like it pretty much as a whole.
And DLZ is awesome, come on! |
Here is some great TV on the Radio.
And this. |
EDIT: |
|
|
Great on big speakers.
|
Great instrumental. |
Coastinnnnnnn
|
^ Is that supposed to be Dhalsim with an afro?
Beautiful song, beautiful video. I highly recommend watching this, if only to appreciate the artistic value of the video. And the song too, of course. Wonderful music video and even better |
|
Why didn't anyone tell me there were not one, but two new Animal Collective songs? I'm looking at you, OANST. Unless you haven't heard them yet, which would be surprising.
Both are great, as is expected from the band these days. Think I like Honeycomb a bit more, but I'll have to give 'em more listens to really say. Also fuck yeah Beatles songs My personal favourite, but it changes all the time. Kind of expected with a band like that. |
