Are you thinking of Crazy Town - Butterfly?

an electro remix of that is currently my favorite track, i hope i dont drill it out

OddjobAbe 05-22-2009 09:05 AM

There's nothing like John Coltrane. Thelonious Monk is awesome also, as is Charles Mingus, and many others who I can't be arsed naming. Jazz is excellent. I'm glad I found all my CDs.

Laser 05-23-2009 06:46 AM

I bought Eminem's new album today...Easily one of the best he has ever done, not as good as The Mashall Mathers LP but still damn good

Disgruntled Intern 05-23-2009 07:02 AM

Tony Clifton.

Sigur Rós.

I'd heard a few of their songs intermittently over the years, but I've only started to appreciate it recently.

Alcar...

California and Disco Volante by Mr. Bungle. Disco Volante has grown on me, but I still like the first album the most.

Hobo 05-25-2009 07:05 AM

SHUT UP ABOUT MR BUNGLE...

Nah only joking, they're ace.

This. Had a good deal of their stuff in my Unlistened-To pile, but I put them on yesterday and found it helps me concentrate on study more than anything else I’ve found while still being able to appreciate the music. Not a lot succeeds in doing both.
Shocking! My first post in any incarnation of the Music thread.

I went to go see Benny Benassi at an outdoor event last Saturday. Candy flipped my ass off with some of my friends, the entire night was pretty much nuts awesome.

Anyone else into the whole electronica rave thing?

I don't mind Dan Deacon or Daft Punk.

i love electo, Benassi has some unique tracks, Bring The Noise is just amazing, bit old now though

Joshkrz, you'd absolutely love Il furbo malaccorto by Giovanni Paisiello. It'd be right up your street.

sorry, im not really into italian "electronica (!)"

OddjobAbe 05-26-2009 01:02 PM

Then you'd feel a strong appreciation for the American Mingus' "Ah Um".

Mac Sirloin 05-31-2009 06:16 PM

Giving a few Bands at the suggestion of my friend Roger a try.
Alamaailman Vasarat, Vladimir Bozar and Kids Eat Crayons, specifically. They're all quite good, but Kids Eat Crayons has a song called "Masturbation Day Parade" that opens accordingly. Unfortunately, it was the first song that came on when I plugged in my MP3 Player to the car as my sister and I left the dog park today. Silences were Awkwarderated.

Similar thing happened to me. I went to visit my mother the other day, and I forgot that I set Mr. Bungle's "Girls of Porn" as my alarm for a joke with my brother. As you probably know by now, that opens up with a porno sample, and a crude opening line. With anyone else, it's fine, but with your own mother, it's bloody awkward.

Alamaailman Vasarat are excellent, by the way.

Omg electro is so gay. No wonder you're posting on the capital of homosexuality messageboards, joshasdf.

And Mr Bungle, too. It's kind of like the audio version of getting a blowjob by a bearded lady while riding a unicyle for the circus.

Good show, you Sigur Ros-ian chaps. They're making a new, more 'ambient' album apparently (AND FANBOIZ ALL OVA THA TOWNS HAVE BLOWN THAT ADJECTIVE TTLY OUT OF PROPORTION). Jonsi (the homo lead singer) is also in the process of releasing a solo album, which is sure to tide all of our cocksuckly needs. The Riceboy Sleeps album recently leaked (that's his moniker for working with his HOMO partner).

Facsimile 06-02-2009 03:34 PM

I'm in love with Pretty. Odd. at the moment. Sure, it's a total Beatles rip-off, but damn can Panic string a melody. It's nice to have some happy music in my life for once too.

MA 06-03-2009 06:58 AM

The Blues Brothers are the shit with me at the moment.

also Pearl Jam.

everyone has there opinions, personaly, i think your a twat, for not being able to take into account that not everybody likes what you like.

you mean the one you posted on?

Leto 06-03-2009 03:47 PM

lol

Mr Bungle wasn't aimed at you, it was the other peeps in the thread. Did I say anything about everyone liking what I like? No, I just said electro is for fags (it really is).

and I'm currently posting on this here forum... and we're talking to eachother... isn't that technically cybering on a gay forum? I mean, I'm all for it, but you have to come out first, instead of hiding behind a latent homosexual cloud of electro. Fags pretending not to be fags doesn't make my erection grow stronger.

It's like you went to some remote monastery for trolling and came back as The Trollsen one.

Your summary of Mr. Bungle is spot on, though.

joshkrz 06-04-2009 12:10 AM

ok sorry, i thought you said it was aimed at me with the joshasdf

Manchester Orchestra's alright.

The new Animal Collective IS amazing. Thanks.

I know this guy who goes apeshit for Animal Collective. He taught me how to make a $1000 sound system out of a 1001 model PS1 and come audio cables.

I've just been listening to Dylan on the drive home from the Lake District. He is excellent. "Something is happening here, but you don't know what it is, do you, Mr. Jones?"
The "Highway 61" one was great, too. Especially the bit about God and Abraham.

"Oh God said to abraham kill me a son
Abe said man you must be puttin me on
God said no, abe said what
God say you can do what you wanna but
The next time you see me comin you better run
Well abe said where do you want this killin done
God said out on highway 61".

For some reason I just love that line.
