This? ;) Edit: And there is another weird glitch with bomb/grenade: |
Thats the one :). And i've seen that second one many times. Anytime you die whilst on an elevator (not much, but it happens to me surprisingly often), the platform will continue up or down. Also if you die in possession of a slig, abe is dead, but you can still freely move the slig.( untill the game restarts).

My favorite glitch is in FeeCo Terminal 2, where you can slap one of the Sligs on the left (2nd screen, downwards) and it will fall through the floor. Kinda pointless, but always made me giggle.

Sneaking Mudokon Glitch
|
I really laughed when he turned around and started sneaking back towards you. Can you make another mud follow you while they're doing that? I think I may have found a way to lead multiple muds in AO.
|
I was recently trying to kill all the muds in AO. I was at this part of the Stockyards, just before you meet the first slog. I went down into the secret area from this screen and tried to get the Mud from the secret area eaten by a Slog by making him follow me, but the slog just ignored him and snapped at me.
I left the secret area and was in this screen with the mine and rock sack, I jumped up to the ledge on the left just as the mud that had been following me magically appeared from the screen to my left, stood on the mine and killed us both. http://i1.ytimg.com/vi/xTk-1N0tLjs/hqdefault.jpg |

No, after this trick all mudokons don't listen. It would be cool to get multiple mudokons without using Cheat Engine. |
There was a strange bug that I experienced by mistake once, and haven't been able to recreate. Basically, I was in the RuptureFarms opening (on the rope lift with the sleeping Slig next to it) and I somehow stopped off on a platform between the two screens. I was able to walk around on the lift, and ran off the platform to the left, falling straight through the wall and ending up on the screen from later on (where you re-enter RuptureFarms to the right and exit the opening level to the left). It was really odd, but I've never been able to do it since.

I recently saw this new glitch on a speedrun of Abe's Oddysee that I had to verify, and I remember the trick looking extremely hard to do, so I decided to find a more consistent way to do the trick and this was what I got:

I have encountered one or two minor glitches while playing AO. The first one is in Scrabania sometimes when I died the Ellos didn't respawn with me and I had to load the file again to get him to come back. This only happen a few times though. Another glitch is sometimes in Scrabania when you get the red ring power that you use to destroy the bombs and if you go through one of those doors that takes you to a different part of the level, the red rings will disappear and you have to get them again.
Not very interesting glitches, are they? |
:
|
But I think you need red rings where I was, although I'm probably wrong. Most of the time the red rings didn't disappear, anyway.
|
Ellos? Is he a greek god?
|
The dinosaur thingy that you ride in Scrabania.
And excuse me for not remembering the name of something who's name only gets mentioned once in the entire game. |

Or does it only happen there? |
I have 3 glitches. On minecraft, the villagers turned black and ended up looking like bodies with 1 leg (to me, a dark popsicle :/).
http://img407.imageshack.us/img407/8...agerglitch.png In Skyrim, I was killing guards when I found this one guard pointing downward when it was meant to attack me. Also a random guy was sitting in between the table. http://img100.imageshack.us/img100/9095/wtfjl.jpg http://img821.imageshack.us/img821/8826/glitcha.jpg |
This is a thread for glitches in Oddworld games.

woops. Sorry about that. I went in the wrong subject. I wanted to find glitches in off-topic discussions. Sorry.

I've recently played through Exoddus again, and a couple of nights ago I finally arrived at The Boiler after much intrepid exploration. I got through all the (quite frankly) easy puzzles and got back to the screen where you have the Shrykull.
I then proceeded to roll along through the little grate below the two flying sligs, and into the first screen of The Boiler. I don't know if it's just in my game, or it's in everyones and it's a bit of a cockup on OWI's part, but the door that you enter in was still open. I tried to walk back through it and it played the FMV of another door sequence from somewhere else in the brewery, and then froze once it had finished playing. Bit annoying, considering I hadn't saved since about Zulag 2 of the Brewery. |
Was that in the PSX version? I had that glitch in that version, the FMV is the door transition from the very first door in Zulag 10.
If I remember rightly, I don't think this happens in the PC version. There was also another strange glitch I was able to pull off in the PSX version where you can open doors. In Exoddus, most of the doors you enter through shut behind you, but I found that by hitting restart path a few times the door will stay open, you can enter through it and it will take you to the place you just came from. I found this most effective in the Soulstorm Brewery Door in Feeco that takes you to Terminal 5. |

The PSX versions of both game were very buggy and could be manipulated easy. In one of the Scrabanian Temple rooms, where you are on a slightly raised bit of ground (so the scrab can''t get at you), there is a lever at the far end of the screen and a well at the other, now obviously you pull the lever before the scrab kills you and jump back onto the raised ground, then hop into the well. Instead of doing that, and to help with another puzzle late on, you can simply wait for the scrab to walk to the other end of the screen, and stand in front of the well. Just before the scrab hits you, jump into the well and, if done correctly, the scrab will carry on running and go through the wall, if it is completely off screen when it does, it can't get back on and you can freely roam about without the need to panic. After pulling the lever and jumping in the well, it takes you to the screen beneatth you where you have to walk to the end of it and jump into another well that takes you into the foreground. Sometimes, when you're walking towards that well, the scrab from earlier drops down from above, fully on screen but still stuck in the wall. Due to the two scrabs being on screen, but not being able to kill each other due to being in different areas, they keep themselves occupied and none of them chase Abe, ntil you progress onto the next screen, the first scrab disappears and so the other one will chase you. Man, I feel like I patronised you a lot there. Oh well, no screenshots. Also if you keep saying hello or follow me to a slig you can walk him off a ledge.
