Sorry, arguments don't work that way. If you'd like to tell me that Satanism isn't a religion, you have to show that it isn't a religion, not that there are no other religions like it.




I'm not sure, though, but I've been told that the Temple of Set is atheistic as well. I can't be positive of whether or not that's true.

Satanism is not that. Sorry. It doesn't get to be a religion just because you want it to.

Except that neither of us are doing that. In fact, if anyone is using the "no true Scotsman" defense it would be you. By saying that the established rules of what makes a religion a religion don't apply to you, you are attempting to rewrite the criteria to make it fit your need for something to be something that it is not.

The definition of religion clearly states that religions contain explanations of those events as it pertains to a supernatural being or process.

Also, you have not shown that it meets those criteria. In fact, you have shown that it doesn't.

Why is it called "Satanism" if you don't even worship Satan? You sound a lot closer to a nihilist. Atheism just means rejecting theism and includes explicit atheism which is pretty much the same thing as antitheism. Therefore, if you follow a doctrine that's about rejecting theism, it can't be classified as a fucking religion.
