I've been listening to CPD and The Brian Seltzer Orchestra a hell of a lot and they make a party jump :D |
DOOM interview
Edited out due to autoplay |
Dudes, and dudettes, I just found this band. I do not know what to make of it, being so kawaii and metal at the same time. Totally a new thing for me.
|
|
Hey Dyna you ever jam KMD?
It's where DOOM got his start, early 90's hip-hop. This is one of my favourite rap songs for sure. The beat is incredible. |
HELL YEAH
|
I don't have the KMD albums but I've listened to some of the songs on Youtube. Thanks for reminding me though, gotta get 'em sometime soon.
Fuuuck I can't wait, I'm gonna see Earl live in 3 days, shits yeah I haven't really listened to Cruel Summer but damn it has some hot tracks LAMBORGHINI MERCY, YO CHICK SHE SO THIRSTY |
I PUT THE PISTOL ON THAT POODLE AND I SHOT THAT BITCH
|
Black Bastards is pretty much a hip-hop masterpiece yo, get on that shit. Might be my favourite of his works apart from Madvillainy, which is unfuckwittable.
Also, new DOOM EP is coming soon. Yay. Listening to this album right now. It's really bizarre. Not sure what to make of a lot it, but I do know that this song is lovely. |
Jenny's blog keeps making me think of this song for some reason. Probably because I haven't been listening to enough Ska.
|
Did somebody say Ska??
Probably my favourite ska song, definitely my favourite ska album. The sheer musicianship, damn. And that energy. This one is up there too. Goddamn inspiring stuff. I wish I could play a woodwind or brass instrument. Just can't wrap my mind around notation... |
We're playing this in Elder Conservatorium Wind Orchestra. Had the first read through today. It was interesting.
I don't love the piece, but I definitely know where to go next time I need to write an analysis of a work. |
The Earl gig was great, wish it would have lasted longer though (went for solid hour and half but still)
the last song of the show (DROP) was definitely the craziest, everyone got super into it I took a few videos, check 'em |
Still love it. |
Saw these guys live yesterday. I have never grooved so hard.
|
|
I just found out that a music festival very near to me that will be held towards the end of summer will have Outkast, Die Antwoord, Kavinsky, Pusha T, Bonobo, Joey Bada$$, Janelle Monáe and many others performing and it's 18+. I'm 17. I'm so going to get fake ID to see all that shit, fucking Kavinsky man, I have to hear Nightcall live, I have to. |
I wasn't expecting a theme this good in a show this okay |
He's been doing one song a day for a couple of years now, check him out.
|
epilepsy warning!
I couldn't get into Clipping's first album (midcity) because of the noise beats, just can't stand noise, but this sounds a lot more accessible which is great for me because I like the dude's rapping a lot ) |
Trippy.
|
)
Dis shit's so chill mang. |
The Freddie Gibbs & Madlib LP, (Cocaine) Piñata, leaked today. It's fucking awesome, album of the year so far for me. Madlib production and that Gibbs gangsta flow is such a good combo. Listen. To. It.
) I mean jesus christ, listen to this ) |
Yeah people are hyping it like crazy right now, I gotta give it a listen. Peace Kehd is my rap AOTY right now though.
DAMN why didn't I hear this sooner? So damn catchy, dancable and spacey. One of the best electronic songs I've heard in a while. Her voice is so emotive and serene. |
|
Went to a record fair (or whatever it translates to...) and picked up Snoop Dogg's Doggystyle, N.W.A's Straight Outta Compton, Pharrell's In My Mind, Björk's debut album and a few others. They were super cheap too.
I've been listening to this dude the past few days, I really dig the production a lot (crazy good beats) and his voice is kinda dark. Dude looks cringy as fuck though. I've also been listening to Gaga's ARTPOP a lot, it's basic mainstream pop but I still like it. |
Can you feel the rhythm of devotion?
OANST will like this. |
A new free De La Soul mixtape, production by no other than the great J. Dilla!
Also, it seems that the DOOM interview I posted a while ago is autoplaying and I can't edit the post anymore, if someone (WoF?) could remove it that'd be great. |
|
An awesome cover of Dio's Rainbow in the Dark. I'm not a big fan of Corey Taylor, but by jeezus, dem pipes.
