Either they are complete fucking morons, or they are absolute geniuses. It is 100% up in the air.

New Brian Eno, and, despite the criminal shortness, it's pretty awesome. Looking forward to the new album, and hoping this fades into another track.

Finally took OANST's advice and decided to give Fall Be Kind a try. I'm only on the second track, but I like it a lot so far.

Dynamithix 10-09-2010 12:52 AM

So, here's some more of that Die Antwoord stuff. I think it's ok, but that Evil Boy music video still haunts me. Also, that rapping guy's accent is pretty slick.

Also, happy birthday John Lennon, you amazing man. Rest in peace.

OANST 10-09-2010 06:42 AM

What you need to understand about Die Antwoord is that they are widely believed to be the Sacha Baron Cohen of the music world.

Dynamithix 10-09-2010 06:46 AM

I like Sacha Baron Cohen, so I like this too!

I wouldn't let that woman get anywhere near me.

R.I.P. Solomon Burke.

Double post, but I daresay I will be forgiven.

I had this on my 'Pod the other day and I actually listened to it, rather than just hearing it, you know? It sounds like music being deconstructed, piece by piece. You start with an almost Beatlesesque intro, then you go into Franz's normal twangy-bass-and-vocals thing, then it descends into the cries of the chorus, then into semiconcsious murmuring, then we're just left with the instruments playing on their own, themselves reducing to mechanical/instrumental noises, then clanking stempunk-ish machinery, until finally we just have rhythmic, beating core, which itself dies away.

I've probably bigged that song up a bit too much, but if anyone can be bothered to try it, I recommend doing it with a reclined posture, closed eyes and an empty mind. Turning lights off may help.

One of the best things in the world for me:

Mr. Bungle 10-15-2010 06:50 PM

Been trying to get into these guys lately. Good stuff.

This band is so sex.

Mr. Bungle 10-16-2010 09:23 PM

This album's got some of the nicest beats I've heard.

This has been one of the best pages this thread has ever seen. Good work most of you. If only someone hadn't posted Barenaked Ladies.

Mr. Bungle 10-18-2010 10:00 AM

This has been a very good thread. I'm tempted to ruin it by posting some Nickelback or something, but I'd feel too guilty.

I think Ridg3 should edit his post.

Dynamithix 10-18-2010 11:54 AM

This is so orgasmic.

PS. Sorry for posting like... 3 songs of MGMT now in almost a row, I realized it now, I dun goof'd.

Ridg3 10-18-2010 01:27 PM

It is done.
