Almost beaten Limbo. Enjoying the hell out of it.

OANST 10-22-2010 12:01 PM

Yeah. Limbo's great. Much like Braid, there are secret bubbles hidden throughout the game. Good luck finding them. Some of them are ridiculously hard to get.

Mr. Bungle 10-22-2010 09:39 PM

Yeah. I've only found two so far, and one of them was 'cause I watched a video of the demo level and the guy found it.

Phylum 10-23-2010 12:58 AM

I just bought Pixeljunk Shooter.

I love the dynamic fluids. They're so free and, at fear of being redundant, dynamic.

It plays solidly, secrets are plentyfull and there are online leaderboards for time/stuff found/score: I love it.

No. You don't understand. There are the bubbles that give you achievements (which are not particularly well hidden), and then there are the eleven secret bubbles that give you an extra 1% completion each. You can get 111% on the game.

I have 110%. I know where the last one is, but it's just stupid hard to get.

Dynamithix 10-23-2010 09:10 AM

I love when there are super secret stuff in games.

Laser 10-24-2010 01:55 PM

I finished Psychonauts today. I was level 75 and only missed the guy who exploded the squirrels with the foil hat's on brain. Which I was quite annoyed about because He is awesome.

I have to say, Psychonauts rocked my socks off with how clever and funny, let alone fun, it was. Sure the Meat Circus sucked, but that hardly messed with my enjoyment of the game.

Mr. Bungle 10-24-2010 05:59 PM

Psychonauts is awesome. I never beat it, though. I only got to the level with the paintings. Milkman and Napoleon were probably my favorites. I really gotta finish it.

Just beat Banjo-Kazooie for the billionth time, such a rewarding experience. Moving on to Tooie now, which is probably my favorite game.

Alf Shall Rise 10-24-2010 06:07 PM

I'm playing the original Fallout. It's pretty fun so far, I'm going on a killing spree around the wastelands. I'm going to create another character soon though, so I can actually play through the main quest.

I got 100% completion first time through, sucker. The only time I had to use a guide was looking for that DAMN PINK FAIRY FIGMENT on Waterloo World. Also, Meat Circus isn't that hard, you just have to do it repeatedly. You die a lot, but you always know how to get past that obstacle next time.

But yes, good game indeed.

EDIT: Just played Peggle Deluxe Demo. THIS IS THE SINGLE GREATEST ACHIEVEMENT OF MANKIND TO DATE. The 'Ode to Joy' has me grinning ear to ear every time. I knew people obsessed over this game and joked about taking it too seriously, but I didn't realise that was because it didn't take itself seriously. MULTI-BALL!

Unfortunately, I don't think I really want the entire game. The demo was enough.

In other news, still playing Spelunky. Much like Black & White, it's a lot easier to play if you start being evil and sacrificing people.

You're a sissy. Even Tim Shafer says so.

:

What’s up with Meat Circus?

What’s up with Meat Circus is that you’re a sissy. Sure, sure, invisibility is very important when Raz’s dad is trying to knock you off those tight ropes. And your shield will bounce the knife thrower’s blades right into those spinning target wheels. And also you can throw a confusion grenade at that bunny and then just go pick it up, instead of trying to grab it with Telekinesis. Those things are also true. But the main point I’m trying to make here is that first one, about you being a sissy.

MeechMunchie 10-25-2010 05:33 AM

People who use shields to deflect the knives are sissies. You should just jump out of the way.

I got 101% completion my first time through. So suck on that.

MeechMunchie 10-25-2010 08:17 AM

Where does the extra percent come from?

OANST 10-25-2010 08:24 AM

If you keep doing the minigame in Coach Oleander's mind it will give you a rank. Combined with everything else in the game this puts you at 101.

Bullet Magnet 10-25-2010 08:42 AM

I think Heroes was right. Some people are born with powers. Sure, in the real world they aren't quite as magnificent as flight, but still.

I think we've discovered OANST's. The ability to complete games. He can complete them so hard that conventional mathematics is unable to represent it with a sensible figure. It's the gaming equivalent of dividing by zero, and OANST can do it.

Let's hope that he will use this power for good instead of evil. But there's not much chance of that.

Wings of Fire 10-25-2010 08:43 AM

Shame he never got round to my favourite world in Banjo Tooie.

OANST 10-25-2010 08:49 AM

I'm still in awe of Xavier getting 100% on Bayonetta.

Which is? Mine is probably either Jolly Rogers or Hailfire Peaks. They're all fantastic, though.

Wings of Fire 10-25-2010 10:27 AM

Hailfire Peaks. Definitely Hailfire Peaks.

OANST 10-25-2010 10:37 AM

Yeah. Never made it to that one.

The story of me and Banjo Tooie goes thus: While I was at work, Abbey played the game and got a bunch of jiggies, leaving me very confused as to what was done, and what I still needed to do. So, I just stopped playing it.

I have 100% on both Banjo Kazooie, and Nuts 'N' Bolts, though.

Mr. Bungle 10-25-2010 10:42 AM

I highly, highly recommend playing through it again. It's one of the best platformers.

OANST 10-25-2010 10:48 AM

I might get around to it.

Mac Sirloin 10-25-2010 03:12 PM

You could just borrow my Live account, as I have it. My Xbox is assbuttfucked, so first dibs.

OANST 10-26-2010 06:16 AM

I own it on the 360. I just haven't gotten around to starting it over.

Dynamithix 10-26-2010 10:21 AM

I've been playing some RDR - Undead Nightmare and Costume Quest and I'm loving them both. The Undead Nightmare's campaign is fun, but the multiplayer mode, Undead Overrun, is pretty damn difficult.

Costume Quest is lots of fun, I just got to Autumn Haven Mall and got the Space
warrior costume. I still prefer the robot costume over any of my new costumes.

OANST 10-26-2010 10:31 AM

I prefer the Space Warrior over the Robot. Of course, the Pumpkin Man is the baddest ass of all.

Havoc 10-26-2010 01:04 PM

As predicted I'm playing the shit out of Fallout: New Vegas. Making a run on regular mode right now and after I complete I'll take on Hardcore mode. Should be good fun.

Sweet, I'm one material away from getting Pumpkin. Also, I just got ninja and it's pretty sweet.

The most useless costume I have is probably the knight one.

OANST 10-26-2010 01:31 PM

The Knight is good for defense.
