I am loving The Beastie Boys and The Chemical Brothers at the moment. Interesting.

OANST 04-06-2009 01:39 PM

For anyone who is familiar with the Elephant 6 Collective, there is a new Circulatory System album coming out in August. It's been eight years since the last one, so yeah. Pretty cool.

Anonyman! 04-06-2009 01:54 PM

The Mollusk. Of course I pick that one first. Of course.

Seriously though, it's pretty good.

Hobo 04-23-2009 03:34 AM

Tom Waits and That Handsome Devil. ACE.

Facsimile 04-26-2009 07:54 PM

Kevin Moore - Chroma Key/OSI
Pain of Salvation

That's what's doing it for me at the moment.

Wings of Fire 04-26-2009 08:22 PM

So yeah, I found this little gem what I can remember my daddy dearest playing when I was just a tiddler.

Fucking love Chris De Burgh

AlexFili 04-27-2009 12:22 AM

I've recently got back into The Prodigy and U2. I'm really liking the new Black Eyed Peas song "Boom Boom Pow" :D

Facsimile 04-27-2009 04:40 PM

Ooh, there's new BEP? Might have to check that out.

Xavier 04-27-2009 10:57 PM

Listening to plenty of Moonspell at the moment, I'm going to see thel live in a couple of weeks...

mitsur 04-30-2009 08:06 PM

Got some Chemical Brothers and Kill Hannah. Pretty good.

Mute Math continues to dominate my speakers whenever I choose a song instead of hitting shuffle, however. Peculiar People in particular.

Dixanadu 05-10-2009 04:45 PM

Dream Theater, and I've recently got into Evergrey. Both are quite epic.

Wings of Fire 05-10-2009 04:50 PM

Do you know of Symphony X? You may want to investigate with tastes like that.

Dixanadu 05-10-2009 05:22 PM

Actually, I have. O_O

There was a song I once listened to by them many years ago, it was brilliant but I can't remember the title or any of the lyrics, but the tune was amazing. I gave up searching for it, but I'll try and look for it now.

Mac Sirloin 05-10-2009 05:35 PM

Mostly from Oddjobabe's recommendation, I've taken to Estradesphere. Excellent stuff.

Much to my sisters chagrin I've started listening to They Might be Giants in the car.

Sweet. Dream Theater are still my overall favourite band, although I don't listen to them as much as I used to because I know all oftheir stuff down to a t, it's always amazing when I do.

I don't know what Evergrey's sound is like, but if you like prog-metal you can't do much better than Pain of Salvation, but they can take a while to get into...

Xavier 05-10-2009 10:27 PM

Just bought the complete works of Tiamat, relaxing doom...

Wings of Fire 05-12-2009 06:29 AM

Yanni.

Why did I never hear ofthem before? :(.

I'd go the Symph X route first. But most prog metal is shit, there are gems such as DT, SX, PoS hiding in there though.

But for the love of god, don't only listen to one genre. Please.

This is not aimed at Fax. Even though I quoted him. Shut up

AlexFili 05-12-2009 01:01 PM

That new Calvin Harris song is strangely hypnotic. I like the Lily Allen cowboy-esque song as well!
Edit: I have to agree with the post below me. My personal favorites are "Our House" and "Baggy Trousers".

OddjobAbe 05-12-2009 01:08 PM

I just dug out my old Madness CD. They are tops.

MA 05-13-2009 08:33 AM

just found Nirvana - Where did you sleep last night? (unplugged).

bit depressing, but i havent heard it in years.

EDIT: just downloaded Limp Bizkit - Come my lady, and Behind blue eyes. forgot how good those tracks are.

not keen on the rest of Limp Bizkit's stuff.

Laser 05-13-2009 10:18 AM

I have just got into The Red Hot Chili Peppers...since...last friday I think :tard: So I downloaded a few songs as a FLAC files and converted them to .WAV and the sound quality is amazing!

Also I have been listening to some of Eminem's new stuff...serverly dissapointed with that :(

OddjobAbe 05-13-2009 11:54 AM

You may enjoy this parody by Mr. Bungle.

Are you thinking of Crazy Town - Butterfly?

MA 05-14-2009 06:27 AM

i stand corrected.

downloaded Duran Duran - her name is Rio. remembered it when i heard it on Ashes to Ashes the other night.

Anonyman! 05-15-2009 04:36 PM

I just bought one of them newlimited edition Modest Mouse vinyl singles. New Modest Mouse isn't terribly wonderful, but I like the art. i miss oanst ;_;

MA 05-18-2009 11:34 AM

i've liked Johnny Cash for ages, but i just found one of my favourites.

Gods Gonna Cut You Down

absolute beast, in my opinion.
Hurt is good as well, even though it was originally written by NIN.

Mac Sirloin 05-20-2009 04:15 PM

Listening to Rain Dogs at the moment. I seriously need more Tom Waits. The man is imagination fuel unleaded.

MeechMunchie 05-22-2009 08:50 AM

Every so often I have an 80's music craving. I just listened to the Safety Dance again, and DEAR GOD IS IT AWESOME. Of course in a few days I'll go back to not caring, but now it is bliss.
