Skyrim has really gotten to me x_x

Ive started eating grilled leeks lol... That game makes me so damn hungry.

Im pondering whether I should try out the recipes in that cooking book you can find as well.

Mr. Bungle 01-24-2012 06:55 AM

Rotten in what way? Like, completely unenjoyable?

Hunt squirrels - They're not too far off (I've tried squirrel once, it's tasty. Not much meat on them though). Then mix cocaine with baking sugar or something. :D

Varrok 01-24-2012 07:46 AM

I wouldn't recommend squirells - the fur might stuck between your teeth and meat may cause bad gases

You skin them first of course, and eating their meat is the same as eating any other meat. But there's barely anything on a squirrel, though - It's hardly worth the effort of hunting and preparing them.

Oh... I see you grill them as well.. oh... that explains much

Awww, Poor man. Wish that dog was alive. :(

I've recently saw someone in my house playing Skyrim with the ability to be a shadow like figure and being able to launch himself forward, now I really want to start playing this game again.

Good news, I recently joined the Dark Brotherhood.

All I had to do is tend to this kids weird taste for vengeance on an old cow and then The Dark Brotherhood sees to it that I am not in their Brotherhood so they tell me to kill one out of 3 people I killed them all , ADHD version: I'm in bitches!

-End of line.

Id love to make a mod )=

DarkHoodness 02-03-2012 05:20 AM

I can see many cool and awesome things coming out of this, considering the popularity of Skyrim. Perhaps a modding community to rival Half-Life 2's one will spring from this, too.

sheridanm962 02-03-2012 11:32 PM

Psst, hey you, I know who you are... Hail Sithis.

Scraby 02-04-2012 01:17 PM

I cant wait for the creation kit to come out,I have something special im thinking of adding into the game XD

Im mostly thinking of adding dawn of war 2 wargear so I can look like a chaos marine XD

Mac Sirloin 02-06-2012 10:14 AM

So, just bought this. I just got to RiverWood

after dicking around and wandering the wrong way from that cave you spelunk out of. I guess I'm an imperial ally now, too.
I'm curious if there's anything neat I can wander off from the plot and do soon.
Going with an Ork with sword and shield/1H build and incinerate upgraded here and there.

You spelled Ork with a K.

The Workshop has you

Almost level 50, still playing my stealth/archery based argonian. Finally maxed smithing, wearing dragonscale armor with some pretty nice enchantments. Realizing how important so many of the skills/perks in the skill trees are this late in the game has been sort of annoying, though.

AlexFili 02-06-2012 12:23 PM

Adding mods to games is so much fun. I've got about two dozen mods on Fallout 3 and they really change the way the game plays. Things like green bushes and trees, extra companions, a gun that makes people dance... endless fun!

The AI in Oblivion/Skyrim needs a bit of tightening up I think. In Fallout 3 if you kill someone the whole town goes berserk. I guess bounties in general need a bit more work, for them to be more realistic. Rather than: steal an apple - guards run over and attack if you dont pay them 5 gold!

Bullet Magnet 02-06-2012 04:13 PM

My Argonian, Trips-Over-Tail, has no need for the majority of the perks, even in the skills I actually use. I'm basically kicking ass on the strength of my vocational skills alone: smithing, enchanting and alchemy. All my longswords and daggers do over 120 damage with only two damage perks, my bow weighs in at 139 damage with the same. I don't even bother wearing my helmet anymore, since the rest of my dragonscales give me a 536 armour rating, just shy of the effective hard-cap of 567 (80 or 85% damage reduction). With helmet and shield that goes up to 1005- that's with one perk in + Light Armour and the 25% All Light Bonus perk.

Though Elder Dragons remained deadly. Then I enchanted my armour and jewelry to resist fire and magic, and to regenerate health. I may have to increase the difficulty again. No one can hurt me anyway, but now I'm sending them flying with shield charges and killing them before they can get back up. If I hadn't equipped my companions with similarly spectacular gear they would have all died in sword-swinging accidents.

Has anyone gotten their companions to use the bows they give them? They only ever seem to use a hunting bow that doesn't appear in their inventory. The only way I got their damage up to scratch was giving them daedric arrows and archery enchantments.

Also: no one can afford to buy my potions any more. That's how I made my money, now it seems like a waste to part with them when no shop can match a quarter of the selling value.

Just pick a direction and go, right now. Though I'd recommend at least running that errand for Balgruuf first - the Jarl of Whiterun.

AlexFili 02-07-2012 02:00 PM

Apologies but I'm about to shamelessly plug a Bethesda Softworks Music Video of Fallout 3 that I recently made. Comments are welcome :)

Mac Sirloin 02-08-2012 05:14 PM

Uhuhuhuh, you said Plug.

So I meandered into an ice cave, fought a giant wol-nope, died.

So I carefully walked into an ice cave, reanimated the corpse so helpfully lying around, had it soften up a giant wolf and then blundered into one of those Dragon word thingies. Didn't even have fus unlocked, yet. Does anyone know where to go to unlock the Animal Friend shout, or do I just have to run into another dragon?

Bullet Magnet 02-09-2012 04:43 AM

Every shout must be unlocked with a dragon soul. I have thirty of them kicking around. I don't find many walls.

No $2 Horse Armor DLC this time? Damn you, Bethesda, no way I'm gonna pay you...

Todd talks a bit about future DLC and how they're going to release them.

MeechMunchie 02-17-2012 02:57 PM

what is this I don't even

Mac Sirloin 02-19-2012 07:44 AM

So Orks kinda suck. They have low Stamina, no magical affinity and basically just exist to be hit in the face. I started over as a Wood Elf, and have been having a much better time. Going for a sneaky archer build with a little bit of magic. Also decided to play through as straightforwardly as possible for my first run, particularly since I get the shit kicked out of me by just about everything North of Whiterun. I'm pretty sure I want to make a more mage-like/magic oriented character for my next run, but I am not being a stupid High Elf. What race would you guys recommend?

STM 02-19-2012 08:15 AM

Nord.
