I'm a little burned out on it myself, actually. Sure, SMP is fun, but when you can't access the servers you play on single player gets old real quick. A lot of the fun comes from interacting with other players.

Also I seem to be getting really bad performance recently, and playing at 15fps becomes a chore real quick. I don't want to install any performance mods until the Mod API is sorted, so I'm kinda boned.

The suckiest thing about Minecraft SMP is that sometimes a player can kill you and you won't be able to see them at all. Not only that, but sometimes there are massive delays between attacks, so if a player does attack you, you can't log out fast enough for yourself not to die. PvP isn't fun for the victims!

My computer is fast and all, but whenver I go on a SMP server, I bug out and I can't break blocks, if so I teleport to my spawn apparently?

I played it a lot for two or three days after 1.5 came out, but until I get an idea for a new project I don't really play it as often as I make it look like. On average I play it for 2 or 3 hours every 4 to 5 days or so, unless the multiplayer server that I play on is up. Recently I've been working on minecart tracks for said multiplayer server so that's kept me interested for now. And of course multiplayer is fun.

It's a lot more interesting than Uni work, so aside from World of Warcraft it's my favourite way of procrastinating. :P (even though I shouldn't. I am getting my stuff done though.)

I found this funnier than I should have.

I had a go at creating a world with a custom seed yesterday. After learning that seeds don't have to be numbers, I punched in "oddworld" to see what happens.

The result was desert biome starting area with smaller patches of dirt and a couple of trees. Stone was nowhere to be seen at first, my first batch came from the bottom of a pond. But there was plenty of sand, so I decided to go all Arabia and build a house out of sandstone (initially sand, I was in a hurry - then I realised, and made the roof out of sandstone instead).

Playing in a desert biome is a good twist to the usual mode of playing. You don't really get lucky outcroppings of coal (even stone), you have to rely on sand a lot initially, and (as far as I'm aware) passive mobs don't spawn on sand.

-1784338777788894343 Perhaps the best map ever. You might have to try it a couple of times to spawn in a good place. This map has many floating mountains and waterfalls with a huge tunnel running underneath them.

Attila the Hun - You spawn in a flattish snow-covered area with a large frozen sea, barely any trees and a couple of small mountains.

Started the 404 challenge. I got about 5 minutes into it before I died. FML.

I'm almost done building my villa on top of the highest mountain I could find. After that I'm going to build the longest and highest bridge you've ever seen.

I hate this game.

It's weird, people who are addicted to the game hate it but I love it and can't play it for more than five minutes.

It's a bit like porn. Each time you're done with it you feel kind of weird because you don't really know what the point of all that was. Yet each time you come back for more.

Only problem would be you could only go on if I was on...

Turns out that no-one can see Zach Braff as Minecrafts God, whenever I was looking up into the night sky I was watching a video of Scrubs and JD's face kept appearing in the night.

Unfortunately the screen grabs I got of it didn't work for some strange reason.

Does this game have any set system specs or does it run pretty well on any computer?

Reasonably high system specs. You should be able to at least run Fallout 3 / Team Fortress 2 (even at the lowest settings). Having the graphics on "fancy" and having very little visibility fog makes things more graphics intensive.

Any chance we could have some Mudokon / Slig skins? :D
