YOU ARE MY FAVOURITE ZELDA FAN |
Started playing Castlevania. It's a pretty tough game. Should take me quite a while to beat.
The surprise pitfalls are kinda annoying though. |

aint nothin special deal with it |

Also, I still haven't gotten around to playing the last Sam & Max episode. Damn Psychonauts stealing up my time. :

I was starting to worry that Costume Quest wasn't going to be any good. The first review for it came out about half-way through the day which isn't a good sign (it typically means that no one was given advance copies for review (which in turn usually means that the publisher doesn't have a lot of faith in the title)), and the first review was abysmal. The guy gave it a 6 out of 10, and said that he couldn't recommend the game to anyone of any age.
Then, the other reviews started coming out, and they were glowing. All of the reviews I read after the first one just absolutely adored the game. Now, I figured that the game would probably fall somewhere in the middle of that first review and the ones that came after it. I was wrong. Wrong. Wrong. Wrong. This game is fucking amazing. It's funny, it's quirky, and it's just so much fun. This is the game that they should have followed Psychonauts with. It is pitch perfect, and I could barely stand to stop playing it to get some sleep. The moment that I walked into the camp store and heard the Psychonauts music kick in I was enraptured. Actually, it was well before that, but that was a really cool moment. I know that I've tried to convince most of you to buy Comic Jumper, and it's true that it isn't for everybody, but people, you have got to get Costume Quest. There is almost no chance that you won't love it. |
What kind of game is it? It looked like an RPG similar to EarthBound when I saw pictures.
I loved Psychonauts, so this would probably be right up my alley. |
It is an rpg similar to Earthbound.
|
Sounds like my kind of game.
|
OANST, this time I completely agree with you, I tested out the Costume Quest demo just for fun with my friend and we both found it very fun. I'm probs going to buy it next week, kinda like in a combo with RDR - Undead Nightmare.

Turn based.

Is Beyond Good & Evil worth playing? And paying £5 ($8 USD) for?
|
:
|
You should watch a Let's Play of it first.
Ain't I a stinker? |
Any significant bugs I should be aware of?
|
You're a significant bug.
AIN'T I A STINKER?! |
Yes. Yes you are.

Gears of War 2 on Insane and probably Fallout: New Vegas when I get it this weekend.
|
I've been playing Red Dead Redemption for the last two days and it's fucking amazing. Online with friends shooting each other as fat cowboys is great.

Screw that, I found something much better. It may be the most narcotically addictive game ever. It's like Indiana Jones knocked up Princess Peach. The result? A game full of trinkets that trigger boulders, a game where a rock is your most valuable tool, a game where you are free to mistreat your love interest as much as you want.
I am talking, of course, about Spelunky. A word of advice: Do not piss off the shopkeeper unless you are looking for the most hardcore gaming challenge in your life. |
That looks pretty cool, and it's coming to XBox Live. Sweet, dogg.
|
I bought Limbo. I'm currently not very far in, just got into the industrial areas. Such a fun game. I'm hoping it doesn't end too soon.
I'm not sure if I like Limbo or Braid more; they're both so fantastic, innovative and unique. |
I barely got to play some Costume Quest earlier, Ill probably end up getting it. OANST, how many costumes are there? And how long is it?
|
It's somewhere between 5 and 8 hours long, depending on how fast you run through it. There are 11 costumes that you can switch between, but one of them can't be used in combat. Most of the costumes have special abilities outside of combat, as well as in.
I beat it last night, and I loved the whole thing. Hopefully, we will get some dlc for it in the future. |
When I run into Gamestop to sell my PSP Ill pick up a points card to get Costume Quest. In the mean time, the Crysis 2 beta is damn fun. The movement is so good, you can jump pretty much anywhere on the map, and your guy will grabs ledges and junk. I also like how they implemented the suit, You have a supply of energy, activating armo takes up some, activating cloak takes some, and running and jumping take up some. At first this sounds really limiting, but there is enough and it recharges fast enough so you can do a bunch of stuff without losing power, but you still have to be tactical about it. The game flows really well, and has the most amount of detail Ive seen in a 360 game. Ill probably pick this up whenever it comes out.
|
I thought Crysis 2 was only coming out for PC...?
|
Nope, 360 and PS3 too.
|
Shit! It looks beast as fuck, I saw the multiplayer map editor too. It's so much more advanced compared to FarCry's.
