BUT STILL HIS WRITINGS GOOD |
Eh, they can be pretty damn hammy.
His language is romantic, wtf do you expect? Find me a piece from a romantic writer of that time that wasn't hammy.

Yeah, reading manga adaptations of Lovecraft's work hardly permits you to be critical of his work.
....Hmm.
The only adaptation of Lovecraft's work I know of is Demonbane, and that was a anime about a giant robot powered by tentacle-rape of a girl or something. Sorry, no manga. |
There is a webcomic about Cthulhu trapped in My Little Pony. Or something like that.

Funny for about four pages, but the joke got old fast.
I didn't say it was good.
I've started finally reading the book "Don't make me think" which is about web-design and userfriendlyness... It's a really nice read so far =D
Lol. What a title.

It's the important rule for web-designers to keep in mind. If a site is not obvious/difficult/confusing to use, they will most likely leave and not eturn. Making an obvious site with good design will keep a user going because it is easy to find the info they need. I think it's a rather fitting and catchy title. |
Oh yeah, I totally got that. I just love how directly they deliver that somewhat depressing concept.
I don't think it's depressing. It's a fairly simple principle; if people have more than one option to do/read/learn something, they're going to choose the easiest approach. That's just common sense conservation of energy.
T-Nex, you may find the book 'The Design of Everyday Things' by Donald Norman interesting. It's more about design of objects and machines, but it still has useful principles that you can draw out. |
I guess you're right. I know I wouldn't want to spend tme trying to figure out a site as opposed to just doing what I needed to do.

Anyway, if I go to a website and I can't immediately find what I was looking for I leave, and I never come back. |
Final Fantasy and Philosophy, The Ultimate Walkthrough. I couldn't resist, the front cover was just too awesome.
I may buy the Watchmen and Philosophy or Batman and Philosophy books depending on how much I like this one, I can't see me buying Twilight and Philosophy though. |
Are they a bit like those 'Science of...' books but with philosiphy instead of science?
No. They aren't like that at all.
I haven't the foggiest, but I'd guess so.
Googled them. Yes, yes they are.
Google lies.
Wikipedia rapes.
Watchmen and Philosophy? ooooh no fair, I wanna read that!
Damn homework, keepin' me from living my life... :/ |
OH WHOOPS I GUESS MENTIONING IT TWICE IS A BIG FUCK UP HUH
Didn't you already mention that?
Still reading Demian by Hermann Hesse. Yeah, I'm slow. But such a great book deserves to have all of it soaked up as much as possible. |
