Green Day: Pulling Teeth

I'm looking at the tabs for it now :o |
Placebo- Where is my Mind?
(Figured it completely out, just make the bass line power chords for the main riff, and for the electric riff its just "G=9 B=9, repeat, then G=9 B=8, repeat".) |
:
Stone Roses: Breaking into Heaven |
"All it is basically is power cords!"
Dayum right. I know how to play ALL of BioKyrd's songs, from EVERY album. :p Just make the bass line a power chord- Poof! You got yo' self a main riff. Move it up a string, you've got a climax riff. Basic rock song formation. Listnening Now: Me playin' the FF7 chocobo theme on guitar. RAWK! :p |
well, that's traditional in modern rock.
you've got a basic chord progression, maybe 3 or 4, depending on time signature and how math-y the song is. that goes to the bridge, which sets it up for the chorus. i'm not a big fan of that kind of writing. when i write, the style is a bit more jazzy and jagged. previous: the jesus lizard - 7 vs. 8 now: godspeed you! black emperor - she dreamt she was a bulldozer, she dreamt she was alone in an empty field next: the 1985 - anonymous gay sex |
The Walkmen - We've Been Had
|
The Hives - a.k.a I-D-I-O-T
|
The radio! (How original :D)
|
:
Previous: Placebo-Bruise Pristene Now: Placebo- Pure Morning Next: Every You, Every Me |
:
i love that kind of rock though. i get it up the butt. just kidding. i don't get it up the butt. i give it a money shot right where it counts. previous: song of zarathustra - inaccurate accuracy now: thingy - homework next: yage - 128 |
:
Now: fussles attack.wav Next: The Pixies - Wave of Mutilation (The album) |
:
yeah, just shitting. contemporary rock has got the gaybies. |
Still shall start the band... I know the A chord, I can start a band, honest!
Now: The Pixies- Where is My Mind? (Couldn't resist skipping to it...) (Oh, the A chord thing, an understatement of my guitar playing... I've been playing for at least two years. :p) |
:
i've had a few bands. they were pretty hot. and even if you don't care, i'm going to tell you about them. first, when i was 13, there was SR-338, a videogame cover band. we had sweet ass songs. our best was a 7-minute Super Metroid composition arranged by me. i played lead in that. then i had Texas Chainsaw Barmitzvah! which was just a rock band, but it was still sweet. then there was liar liar pants on fire which was harder but still sweet. and now i've got what like a bullet can undeceive and chances are, it's going to rule over all with an iron fist. |
:
It's rather fun for a few hours. :
|
i personally liked Nada Surf's cover of Where Is My Mind way better than the original Pixies version, even though i don't really like Nada Surf.
|
Metallica - Whiskey In The Jar
|
:
Now: Me mumbling about how I need to hp an electric guitar... After this coherent series of events: Muse- Unintneded |
i have all of the Pixies.
|
You lucky, lucky person. I should do so, and cure my Pixie-lessness.
Now: Every You, Every Me- Placebo |
i am a musical encyclopedia.
|
That was random. But what I have seen of you so far, you seem to be the musical encyclopedia type.
Now: Black-Eyed -Placebo (I swear, I listen to things other than Placebo, but whenever I post in this thread I'm listnening to "Once more with Feeling". I swear, honestly!) |
