Sexy teaser trailer for CD Projekt's new game, Cyberpunk 2077.

Also, there's a hidden message (pretty fucking hard to read) if you pause the teaser exactly at 2:14, I tried to write it down the best I could:

Do you like our latest creation? We certainly hope so! :) You may remember that we sometimes send you guys secret messages like this. It's a great way for us to speak right to you instead of burying ourselves in corporate mumbo-jumbo so let's begin!

First of all -- Have you noticed all the details in our teaser (yes, it's a teaser, we'll make a proper trailer in the future)? If you know the cyberpunk setting there are some things you can spot, like implants -- Look for the weapon hands and the real skin -- Corporate emblems that should look familiar, and more. Happy hunting!

You're probably curious about the release date. It's currently scheduled a way off in 2015, but in truth the delivery date is more like "when it's done". We will release Cyberpunk to you when we're convinced it is nothing but pure, refined, unadulterated awesome. We want it to be the most kick ass futuristic RPG ever -- Oh, maybe this sounds pretty bully, but it is our actual goal! You judge if we deliver it!

Oh, and you may wonder why we announced our game so early before the release. The reason is that we're still building our dev team, so if you are a talented dude or dudette, willing to work in a really different company (gamers rule & boring corporate stuff drool!) on a super ambitious project, send us your application right now! careers@cdprojektred.com

So, you want to know what kind of game Cyberpunk 2077 will be? The short description is that it will be a story-heavy nonlinear, open world RPG based on the well known cyberpunk pen & paper system and setting. Building open world games is something we are mastering right now, and we believe that properly joining nonlinear gameplay with excellent storytelling will bring a totally new quality. Mhm. We'll tell some more about it soon!

And that's not all that's new, we are about to reveal our other project ,which is much closer to being completed and yes, it will also be a fully open-world game with an intense story. You can probably guess the game we're talking about :-P On the 5th of February it will be all clear.

We are waiting for you on our newly created forum called Afterlife -- What other name could we have chosen for it? :)

Why exactly do you not like good games?

Steamer_KING 01-16-2013 01:38 AM

I'm hyped for Cyberpunk 2077 and The Cave, so what do you mean?

Daxter King 01-16-2013 09:14 AM

Metal Gear Rising, stop being silly and answer the question.

Steamer_KING 01-16-2013 09:36 AM

Metal Gear Rising...a good game...ok, I'll go with that. Raiden now has Double personality, which is always a goo-NO!

Dynamithix 01-16-2013 09:48 AM

MGR looks sort of messy.

Steamer_KING 01-16-2013 09:50 AM

From story to graphics to enemies to gameplay. I really hope I'm wrong and this game is actually very good, but I'd put my hands on fire that it won't be.

Vyrien 01-16-2013 10:06 AM

I can never understand why they spend so much time making Raiden out to be such an unstoppable, awesome badass then make him look like he's wearing high heels.

it's for breakdancefighting with swords. And to grow some inches to be even more badass.

And what’s wrong with high heels?

Varrok 01-16-2013 10:38 AM

I have no hope for this game since they abandoned "you can kill no one and still complete the game" concept

Dynamithix 01-16-2013 10:44 AM

I thought the very first footage that was shown of the game was extremely good looking.

Varrok 01-16-2013 10:56 AM

The first footage was not Metal Gear Rising. It was Metal Gear Solid: Rising, and was mostly a different game (from what I've seen, a more promising one)

Dynamithix 01-16-2013 11:06 AM

I meant this:

Very smooth.

Varrok 01-16-2013 11:17 AM

Yup, that's what I had in mind. That was good. Was.

A dude wearing high-heels and look bad ass at the same time? Yeah, I can see that...

Varrok's right though, the earlier footage was way better in motion and sword gimmicks. But, truth has to be told, there's gonna be a wooden sword on Rising for a No-Kill run. Or so Kore-P says it.

Well, you can address your complaints to the writer of the main MGS series(I think you're a fan of it?), as he is writing MGR.

Actually, there wasn't a game at all, Kojima has said this several times in interviews. They didn't know how to make an action game, so it was handed over to Platinum. So no, that was not a more promising game.

Dynamithix 01-16-2013 01:54 PM

Suda51's new game, Killer is Dead, was properly revealed today by Famitsu. It's apparently mostly inspired by No More Heroes and Killer7 and also has some similarities to Lollipop Chainsaw and Shadows of the Damned. The art style looks gorgeous in my opinion, here are some of the released screenshots.

Mondo Zappa, the protagonist.

It looks ALOT like Killer7, which is good since it was a great game.

No, Kojima is not writing it, he's just co-directing, which even worse and might go along the way like MPO.

True, but the original concept trailer and the main concept seemed better than this. Also, you could sneak, unlike in this one.

Mac Sirloin 01-16-2013 11:03 PM

Why are you complaining about how promising a game was when it hasn't even come out man

And every Suda 51 game seems to get a little bit more bland.

hahaha, stupid twat. MGR has stealth gameplay, dicknuts! You should pay more attention instead of fawning over a years-old tech demo.

Also If you think Raiden's behaviour is abnormal you didn't play MGS2 or 4.

Oh please, enlight me, because so far, I've yet to see some stealth gameplay. And don't talk about taking an enemy's from above with a sword on the neck and all that dance, because that's bullshit.

When did Raiden became psychopathic in MGS2? Or even for an extend, MGS4?

It's in the extended trailer.

Around the 2-minute mark onwards. It's also confirmed that the alert system and cardbox boxes are back too.

Raiden has always had deep-seated issues with his violent childhood in Liberia. He was forced to become a more emotionless killer through virtual reality indoctrination, resulting in his state in MGS2. However if you pay attention to his dialogue, it's made clear that he's still pretty fragile and even flipped out at Rose on one occasion. In MGS4, he's been cut up and badly misshapen by the cyborg job the Patriots did on him.

The plot of MGR is that he works as a cyborg security provider in a small independent nation. He does this to provide for his family. He doesn't go by Jack as a name and decided on Raiden, and followed Snake's philosophy of his own name and his own future. He talks at length about ideals and philosophy in the Codec conversations at the start of MGR (you can see these in the demo). However, it all goes pear-shaped when his body is completely destroyed in a surprise attack, resulting in the PMC's suspicious cybernetics expert, Herr Doktor giving him a brand new body that requires neural updating from his memories, resulting in a reawakening of his brutal childhood past in much more vivid recollections.

The new body's makeup starts to destablize Raiden's mind as the game goes on, resulting in his latent child soldier psychopath, Jack the Ripper, to start re-emerging. He starts to freak out more and more as you play through, however according to speculation and some comments from the company, doing a kill or no-kill run will affect this, and also Sunny the computer genius is appearing so who knows how far it will go.

I don't consider that much stealth, but I guess it's better than nothing. I really forgot about that trailer too. I know I might be in the minority, but I was expecting the game to be a bit more MGS and less DMC/Bayonetta.

Solidus didn't help either in MGS2, bringing all the memories and turn them even more present than they were. I like the progression that Raiden had in MGS2, but in MGS4, it felt forced and uninspired, more like a reason to make Raiden a badass than anything.

Hmmm, I actually didn't knew that, since MGR don't appeal me that much...I will still try it out. If it's at least great, I'll support it, but I'll have my expectations low. We'll see.

Also the story team is mostly Kojima Productions, and Hideo personally advises and approves of them. It's still his ball. Platinum defer to him on everything.

You know that doesn't mean anything. Kojima approved MPO and now, it doesn't even get recognized in the main series. And I remember Kojima saying Peace Walker was the true sequel to MGS3 and all that. Hell, even their sites don't have MPO.

Daxter King 01-17-2013 09:56 AM

Why do you abbreviate Metal Gear Portable Ops and then talk about Metal Gear Peace Walker? They're two different things, you know.

Oh thanks, I didn't know that...

I abbreviate it, because MPO is faster to write than MGS:PO, and it's been used for a long time, and I talked about PW because of what Strike Witch said:
:

()

Peace Walker came in the talk since I stated that Kojima said PW was the true sequel, making MPO obsolete:
:

For Kojima, however, the real sequel to the Metal Gear Solid series is the PSP's Peace Walker - so much so that he's personally directing the game.

"This is what I mean by a true sequel - it means that I'm writing the script, I'm doing the game direction, I'm working on the title full-time and the main team of Metal Gear Solid 4 is working on this title," the creator said at Konami's E3 press conference.
