No because it crashes the server for some reason and according to various sources stops the world from being able to load. So yes, dividing by zero :tard:
|
:
Havoc: Infinite loops can also crash computers if they overload them. And looking at that diagram, it seems pretty infinite to me. |

Sorry for awful screenshot; don't have time to get on AE myself. |
That can be fixed by opening the world in a world editor and removing the piston or the block it's trying to push. It also has apparently been fixed in 1.7.2.

Two, buttons only produce a second or so of power when pressed. You'd need a lever to toggle between perpetual on/off states. |

Not so much corrected as given an answer to your question.
|
I'm gonna go play around with pistons.

Also has anyone noticed any world holes since the update? |
I haven't noticed any world holes but I have seen more instances when the blocks don't render on the screen and you can see every fucking tunnel in the game.
|

It seems to me that worldholes have been replaced by squid. http://www.oddworldforums.net/attach...1&d=1309563681 http://www.oddworldforums.net/attach...1&d=1309563681 |
I did post this in the other Minecraft thread, but oh well:
http://img43.imageshack.us/img43/147...0625180400.png Yes, there are 20 squid right there. And I took it before the update. |

I've always had occasional encounters with squid packs, but they've been more frequent since 1.7.
Also, it's listed in a feature of 1.7 here. |
Weeeelllll
damn. |

Squid are the only mob that never despawn, and previously a glitch stopped them swimming upwards, so they got stuck in pits on the sea-floor (near Sun Tower you could hear a load of them scraping along the ocean floor beneath). Maybe that glitch has been fixed, so all the previously trapped squid are now congregating near the surface.
Just a guess. |
First order of bussiness, installing pistons in the Montecito's waterfall so it can be turned on and off! Been looking for ways to do that since I made the damn thing!
|
Made this on a whim early last month - And finally got rid of it 'cause it was out of place. Boom. Maybe I should've put the TNT inside it before lighting the fire though. |
*double posts* Can't sleep. Made this.
Gotta think about it more, I guess. |
1.8 is apparently going to introduce spikes, which you could probably use instead of fence.
It's a shame that 1.8 is gonna introduce new geography - specifically underground ravines and NPC villages - which we won't get on the current server. |
They'll be found if we explore further, won't they?
|
Only if the update is accepted by your host / it's multiplayer compatible.
|
Yes, we'll just have to travel a great distance. We could get Edd to built a railway in the Nether.
|
Ah, ok. That's nice to know :p
|
Should Ench happen across this post.
I'm sorry, and I plan to compensate you for your troubles. |

Maybe later we can get Havoc to post a map of the world to find out which areas haven't been explored yet and setup a new exploration base in the closest newly-generated chunk after 1.8, then build a railway out to it or something - Then people would have to be sure to re-set their spawn points and not remove beds. Until then it's probably best that people stop exploring the current map for new areas. |
The current map is huge as it is. I've only posted two screens of it but I've seen the entire thing and it's gigantic.
What's going to be so special about NPC villages anyway? Will they offer some sort of exclusive resource? |
There'll be underground ravines and ruins to find and stuff that won't appear in already generated chunks.
|
I hope we'll have the opportunity to trade with this NPC village. Then slaughter the males, pillage the town and rape the women. It's up to yourselves then if you want to hollow out the babies and smoke crack through them to get a smooth smoke.

We won't get this stuff:
![]() ![]() Note the giant mushrooms and the ravine in the second picture. EDIT: Max posted. Yeah, definitely. Just build it in a big long cobblestone tunnel. |
Could be done, I guess. Gotta make the portal at the main base easier to get to though.
|
Someone explain to me how distance in the Nether has anything to do with distance in the normal world?
|
Each block you travel in the Nether is 8 in the real world. Two portals 1000 blocks apart in the Nether will be 8000 blocks apart in the real world.
|
This is slightly inaccurate because the placement of portals follows unpredictable rules, but it's the general rule, especially over larger distances.
