Shawshank Redemption is absolutely fantastic. Could be my favourite movie ever. The ending is more satisfying than sex. Or at least... nearly as satisfying. That, Fight Club and Toy Story 3 have been my "Holy Trinity" of films for years now.

That being said I haven't seen many movies.

OANST 05-29-2014 06:36 AM

I've started watching The X-Files on Netflix out of boredom. I still love The X-Files.

I should really watch X-Files some time. gets a lot of universal praise.

Plus Vince Gilligan was a big part of it (I think?), and I loved Breaking Bad.

Job McYossie 06-07-2014 11:27 PM

I just watched "In A World..." The movie was alright. The ending was crap though. It didn't really satisfy any sort of wrap up. It had a pretty good build up, no resolution.

Movie was about a girl doing voice overs.

MA 06-08-2014 02:28 PM

the voice over for the girl doing voice overs should have been a really serious Liam Neeson.

Robot and Frank.

Dear god the feels. Watch this film if you want your heart pulled out.

Mr. Bungle 06-10-2014 09:35 PM

Watched It's a Disaster the other day. Black comedy about, well, a disaster. Had David Cross in it so I couldn't resist.

Pretty funny overall, startlingly realistic to boot.

Holy Sock 06-11-2014 05:08 AM

The film really picks up once the event happens. The character dynamics become a lot more interesting and entertaining.

Also, everyone needs to watch the Fargo TV show. Great show.

STM 06-11-2014 09:19 AM

Fucking Fargo! It's everywhere at the moment and I still can't work out what it's about and why it's worth watching.

OANST 06-11-2014 09:34 AM

Watch the movie. It's amazing.

STM 06-11-2014 10:04 AM

Fuck you and your vagueness!

OANST 06-11-2014 10:26 AM

Coen Brothers very rarely make something that isn't amazing. And Fargo is one of their best. Very black, very dry comedy.

Mr. Bungle 06-11-2014 10:28 AM

Fargo's one of the best movies ever, yeah.

Need to check out the show.

MeechMunchie 06-11-2014 11:09 AM

I'm enjoying it.

Dynamithix 06-11-2014 12:17 PM

Orange Is The New Black's second season is out now on Netflix and I've watched almost all the episodes already, it's still very good, enjoying it a lot. Also been watching It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia again, I'm now on the fourth season. The show is fucking gold.

Holy Sock 06-11-2014 12:37 PM

Yeah, the film is great. I'd say it's required watching before diving into the TV show, also. The show stands up by itself but it has some strong links with the film besides its obvious relation.

Fargo fuck yourself. I had to
that movie was good.

OANST 06-12-2014 08:00 AM

I've been watching Wilfred. It's a lot better than I imagined it would be.

Slog Bait 06-12-2014 09:24 AM

Wilfred is great

Only watched the first season, though. Does it continue to be great past it?

OANST 06-12-2014 09:37 AM

Second season is better than the first so far.

Slog Bait 06-12-2014 09:59 AM

EXCELLENT.

Nepsotic 06-12-2014 10:09 AM

You're talking about the American remake, right? That's the only one I've seen, and I really enjoyed it. Should probably start the second season sometime.

OANST 06-12-2014 10:31 AM

Yeah. I haven't seen the Australian version.

STM 06-12-2014 12:31 PM

You're all a bunch of butt plugs.

...I'll watch it tonight.

Holy Sock 06-13-2014 09:04 AM

I watched the first few episodes of the Australian version. Besides the surreal premise the show is incredibly weird and surreal itself. I didn't know whether I was enjoying it or just being sucked into its weirdness...

STM 06-13-2014 09:20 AM

Well I was gonna watch it but then I had sex a few times instead. I'll try to watch it tonight, sorta excited to see what it's about now.

OANST 06-13-2014 09:21 AM

It's kind of disturbing at times, but not in a really in your face way. It tends to play up the character's insanity in very subtle ways. I remember realizing that one scene where Elijah Wood is talking to Wilfred on the phone was actually really creepy when it occurred to me that there was no one on the other end of the phone.

Edit: STM is a speedy shit. I bet it works out the same way in the bedroom.

STM 06-13-2014 09:24 AM

Two and a half hours mate. ;)

followed by four hours of crying

Also I did not know Elijah Wood was in it. I am thusly more pumped.

OANST 06-13-2014 09:38 AM

Two hours and twenty seven minutes spent trying to get it hard enough to get in?
