whoa tis a tough place for newcomers
|
FUCK YOU
|
We're automatically harsh to newcomers because we suspect them all of being MS.
Well, that used to be the case. Now I think it's probably just tradition. |
|
I was involved in a flashmob as part of the Australian Flute Festival this year. It's taken a few months, but I've finally been arsed to upload the video.
|
Oh Jesus what the fuck is this |
Some movie about Thatcher.
|
:
what is this? comedy? I need to know |
Someone explain Thatcher to me.
EDIT: Please |
"She fought for her country"? More like she just fought her country.
THERE'S BLOOD ON YOUR HAAANDS EDIT: @MS* Basically, she is the very defenition of the modern meaning of the word 'Bitch'. Thatcher was a staunch Conservative with no proper understanding of the political process and how it affected the needs of her people. As a result, she ended up running one of the most unpopular British governments of recent years, ignoring anyone who tried to talk sense into her, and crippling the rights and livelihoods of hundreds of thousands of working-class people in the process. Now she's a demented old biddy and everyone laughs at her. In Hollywood, that makes her inspirational. RE-EDIT: oh yeah and also she was the uks first female prime minister *Hey, never noticed that before. |
I have a "Ding Dong Thatcher's Dead" party pack ready for the big occasion.
|
Everything I have read about that movie has implied that it is not in any way a sympathetic portrayal of Thatcher.
WoF: Are you suggesting that films should not be made about people you disagree with? Also, how the hell can you not have known about this film until now? It's been talked about in the media for months. |
It looks like it's dramatizing and glorifying her and the actions she took.
|
It's a trailer. That's what they do.
Apparently the story is framed by her today, broken and senile, looking back on her past life. |
Talking to an imaginary version of her dead husband.
EDIT: I knew it wouldn't take long. http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-i8tZsWOVwE...25281%2529.jpg In other news, it *should* be getting a big update next year that could easily double the content. |

This may well be the most hilarious rubbish bin ever:
It's not obvious until you watch Part 2 here, but the guy actually planned it in advance. |
That was cool, hah.
Anyways, a new trailer came out for Sacha Baron Cohen's new movie, The Dictator. I really liked the last bit. |
I might check that out, but I'm unsure really considering how awful I thought Bruno was.
|
Well I'm giving that a miss, I hate Bruno and Borat so goddamn much.
|
I hated Bruno but Borat was alright. I actually prefer the Ali G films. They were so stupid that I thought they were hilarious.
Oh and hooooly shiiiiiiit: |
:
:
The only part of Bruno I found entertaining is when he falls out of the window at the swingers party. I found the rest of the movie totally boring... |
Well uh
Those both look shit. |
You're no fun D:
|
To be fair, I shouldn't comment on The Dictator (Except the first thing I thought was 'This feels like a bad parody of a much older yet similarly named comedy') because I'm not a fan of Cohen's comedy style to begin with.
MIB, however, was one of my favourite movies of all time. I loved the animated series, thought the second film was shit and think this looks worse. |
