MarsMudoken 11-09-2009 02:59 PM

I've heard this story before...because I've done this before. You told me this a while ago and I understand you won't change your mind. The thing is I'M the one on the other side of the world. And amazingly It doesn't matter to me. I'm used to working around problems, not fixing them. So yes, I'll abide to your rules. Even though you're wrong.

AlexFili 11-09-2009 03:51 PM

OOC: Believe it or not, Splat is the undisputed RPG king around here. Mars, I appreciate that you mean well, but in the end... you're only going to get yourself into trouble. Just take it easy, don't post so often and relax.

IC: Borso smiled and put a hand on Grace's shoulder, "Great, I'll tag along with you then!". Borso skipped happily beside Grace, who would probably not be quite as happy with the prospect. He noticed a silver coin on the floor. "Hmmm, a two-sided coin. Better take it for safe keeping". He put the coin in his pocket, before skipping again.

MarsMudoken 11-10-2009 03:02 AM

Fine. Sigh....I just get bored.

MeechMunchie 11-10-2009 05:06 AM

OOC: Please find a way of solving this boredom that doesn't annoy everybody else.

Gonna just give you a little nudge, Gretin. I know your busy 'n' all, but Crunchy's lonely...

slig# 5719 11-10-2009 06:07 AM

OOC:
I have been looking back at yesterday and have realized that I should apologize for the amount of posting. I posted seven times yesterday (I think). Three IC posts and four OOC posts therefore breaking the RPG rules and for that i'm sorry.

I was hoping Jimmy would have posted IC by now, but it doesn't matter.
I have realized that Flad has not yet interacted with anyone yet so I should use this opportunity to do so now :).

IC:
Flad watched, even more surprised when the mudokon started shouting at the snoozer.

"Don't be stupid! There are loads of animals down there and they've never bothered the factory. They're not stupid; they know if they start attacking us, then we'll start attacking them! They've never hurt anyone except people stupid enough to go walking in their territory! Do you really think you alone could kill all of the animals down there? If you go down there and start attacking them, then they'll destroy you and retaliate by attacking employees! Which means less profits!" Flad started to approach her to see if he could help solve the situation. "Plus if you start shooting down there with explosive bullets or whatever, you'll probably destroy the pipes and stuff down there and end up shutting down or blowing up the whole factory!"

Flad started thinking to himself "This isn't right, a slave would never yell at a snoozer. Damn I've never been in a situation like this before. What do I d-"
He was distracted from his thoughts by a "Huh, what?"
It was from the mudokon. Flad asked before he thought "you ok? You seem to be talking to yourself."

Guekko 11-10-2009 08:21 AM

Well, I'll join in also :3 Has already been posted on the profile thread, so should be fine

Name: Guekko (pronouced as Gecko)

Race: Glukkon

Gender: Male

Age: 17

Appearance: Just looks like a typical Glukkon, though with slightly paler skin and is also quite small. Wears a white suit and brown shoes - but will only wear said shoes if he is told to. Glowing orange eyes, tooth hangs out of left side of jaw, small scar on right eyebrow ridge where he scratched himself on an old broken chant supressor. His nails are rather long and he has a slight limp on his right arm due to a broken bone not being set properly.

Equipment: His trusty screwdriver, sitting in his breast pocket.

History: Chump level young Glukkon who worked for the Fabben Security Corp. but lost his job after the corporation's Big Cheese was made bankrupt after one of his competitors took blueprints from the company vaults. Just a typical handyman when it comes to security and security systems. He programs them, builds them and fixes them, an odd Glukkon in that he prefers to get his own hands dirty with his work as he at least then knows it is done properly. He had been looking for a job for some time but most places only had openings that he could do for Sligs only, so is hoping that this time he won't lose out of a job because he just happens to be a Glukkon (however strange that might seem).

MarsMudoken 11-10-2009 01:39 PM

Ah, two years older. I'll send Krivzee.

Splat 11-10-2009 01:40 PM

IC:
Grace grumbled to himself, deliberately not looking at his unwanted companion, but this weedy slig's playful attitude ground his nerves and after a couple of minutes, he twisted round and confronted him, "You realise this isn't some stupid game! You realise we're going to a fight, and that mud's probably more than capable, more than experienced, in killing sligs? Stop acting like a sliglet and prepare yourself for a fight!" An unpleasant thought slipped into his mind and he demanded, "Odd, tell me you've been in a fire fight before!"

Harsh he might sound, but he had seen too many sligs killed by native mudokons to be polite to a young, factory-raised moron slurg.

-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

Anni jumped when the slig spoke, completely unaware that he had been behind her, "Uh," She said, looking puzzled. Could this slig be the one who spoke to her? It hadn't really sounded like a slig's voice...
Distinctly puzzled, she asked, "Um, did you just say something?"

AlexFili 11-10-2009 01:59 PM

OOC: I knew that silver coin would come in handy!

IC: "A fire what?!" Borso waited a while before continuing, "Just kidding. Of course I know how to shoot stuff!" He twirled his revolver in his hand, letting the trigger rest on his finger. He then flipped the coin in mid-air and shot it twice, both sides being marked by the bullets. He shot it a third time and it bounced off the wall and landed in a trash can.

"That's all we did back at the Sliggies Academy, that and gamble!" Borso's pale skin reflected from the lights above. Borso turned to look at Grace, noticing the large battle scars. "Okay sir, sorry. Let's get back to business" A more serious looking Borso followed Grace, with a more typical Slig march.

Borso was about to offer Grace a cigarette, when he realised that not only did he not have a cigarette but he didn't even own a lighter. He then cast his memory back to the time when he almost died from inhaling a cigarette. That was enough to give him a phobia of them ever since. Borso shivered a little bit, before carrying on his walk as normal. He looked at Grace, hoping that he'd be as strong as him someday.

slig# 5719 11-10-2009 02:17 PM

Flad noticed the mudokon jump when he spoke. Flad realized that the mudokon had feminine features. "A female mud now. Odd this place is just too weird." He thought. Flad realized that everything going on here was far beyond his comprehension and decided to just ignore the fact she was a mudokon.

"Um, I was just wondering whether you where alright. you seemed to be reacting to something and this snoozer didn't say anything" He gestured towards SU-01 with his arm. "I thought you might be hearing things. Oh, I'm Flad by the way." He raised his arm to shake hands.

Suddenly there were two gunshots coming from further down the corridor, quickly followed by a third. This time it was Flad's turn to jump. "What in Odd's name was that?" Flad exclaimed. Unable to investigate due to the snoozer blocking the corridor.

MarsMudoken 11-10-2009 03:21 PM

OOC: Umm...Yes I'll use my first post for today. Also should I post my character's profile here? I made a new one. His name's Krivzee.

IC: Mars couldn't believe it.

'How in the hell did you mess that up? Now we'll never get her to listen...' 'There is still hope. We'll merely speak again.' 'AND WHAT EXACTLY DO WE SAY? HM?' 'Hi.' 'Shut it.' ' What to say? Well, obviously something that she'll understand we'd say. Hold on...what about a writtin message?' 'I don't think they know english.' 'Remember the boiler? Big fat "boiler" printed right on.' 'Killing them would be easier than this junk.' 'We're making allies not enimies dummy.' 'Alright, writting messages won't work because we have no paper. Let's just...hey wait...THAT'S IT!'

Mars immediately stopped, feeling the presence of a slig. Possession anyone?

...

IC: Krivzee walked in, after a feco train ride, searching for Guekko. Where was he? Suddenly Krivzee's felt weird. He immiediatly wanted to go a certain path. He qustioned why but...his gut said this way. And his pants said yes. After a while he found a snoozer (awesome), a mudokon and a slig (meh). Suddenly he wanted to get rid of the snoozer. Why? Really? What the heck is going on here! He decided to ignore the snoozer. But somehow it REALLY seemed important. No. Err...no. Krivzee strugled to keep his balance as his head started to hurt like the shock that zapped his hands. Krivzee's brain said leave it alone but everything else said to get rid of it. Even destroy it! He gave the impulses one last burst of willpower before he collapsed onto the ground.

...

IC: Mars's possesion magic hadn't worked. Krivzee had a strong will. Mars was bad at magic so he could only suggest things to people. And fighting Krivzee was near impossible. His last blast of magic knocked him out. Wait...YES! DISTRACTION AT LAST! Now some of them should go to check up on him.

Gretin 11-10-2009 03:49 PM

OOC: Yes, post your profile here as well. Also, just a little bit of a recommendation - perhaps you could edit your new character's entry to make it a bit more detailed? For instance, he must have arrived by train, not just "walked in." And how did Mars know he was there, and more importantly, how did he possess him without chanting or anything else that would give away his position? I'm not telling you your post is all wrong, I'm just suggesting ways you can a) add more detail and b) make things clearer for everyone else.

Also, just be aware that I think sometime back some chant suppressors were activated in the factory, but I'm not sure exactly where they are, so we could just say there wasn't any in the area where Mars is at the moment.

@MeechMunchie - I realise you're waiting on me, but like I said before I like to let other parts of the RPG flow on too - my lack of posting is sometimes (but not often) on purpose :p

IC:

Hembar noticed the meech (Crunchy) seemingly gesturing towards it's beak. She sighed, she couldn't exactly just the leave the thing here, but how was she supposed to look after it and continue with her mission as well?

She wondered what food would be readily available anywhere... She wasn't sure exactly what Meeches ate, even, considering they were supposedly extinct. But, the stock that Rupture Farms kept for processing must be fed by something, so she decided she might as well start heading for the factory again.

"Alright," she spoke to the Meech even though it probably couldn't understand her, "come on, let's see what we can find."

Keeping an eye out for any sign of the snoozer or any other security, she cautiously started making her way back to the factory, specifically heading for the area where the slaughter room was.

OOC: I'm hoping it wasn't a mistake making Ralph interact with Skullik...

MarsMudoken 11-10-2009 03:52 PM

OOC:

Mars knew Krivzee was there because he's me. Therefore, knows of Krivzee.
Fine, you hear Mars
Krivzee is awesome.

-----IC-----

SU-01 decided not to respond to the mudokon who just yelled at him. He knew that cold, indifferent silence, would do better than answering at all. A slig came by and talked to Anni. He ignored him as well. He was determined not to get distracted until he saw the Boss.

A few minutes later, another slig came from the train station.

"Just great. As if this place was not already overfilled with inefficient security staff..." he thought.

Suddenly, his HUD started to malfunction again, like it did in the cafeteria, some times ago. It happened every time a mudokon chanted somewhat near him. It was a way to detect terrorist easily, but it also affected some of his abilities. Judging by the intensity of the interferences, (he could barely see something) the source was close, in this very corridor. He heard a loud noise behind him. The newcomer slig just collapsed on the floor.

At this very moment, SU-01 knew something was wrong and went into red alert. The first idea that crossed his "mind" was to load his tranquilizers ammo, but since his vision was not optimal, it would be pretty unsafe to fire at anything. He turned his eyes red and said, through the corridor speakers, to be heard by everyone at the same time.

"Warning ! Warning ! Intruder near the Executive Office ! We've got one slig down, one slig down ! All unarmed employees are now required to lay down and wait for further instructions ! To all security guards, deploy yourselves and block every possible retreat. The intruder must not escape."

He also send a command to the boss' computer, in his office. The screen turned red and displayed the message :

MAJOR SECURITY INCIDENT IN PROGRESS...DO NOT ATTEMPT TO LEAVE THE ROOM...YOU WILL BE NOTICED AGAIN WHEN SITUATION IS UNDER CONTROL.

"Time for some chant suppressing stuff" he thought. "Also this might be a bit late now."

A little metal plate between his four eyes slided down, revealing a big red orb, blinking like the regular security orbs.

MarsMudoken 11-10-2009 07:46 PM

OOC: OH SNAP! I forgot that chanting plus KO'd slig would look like murder!

IC: "Oh, dear." said Mars, as the robot noticed his chanting. He knew moving was death. He knew not moving was death. In fact there's no point in MP (Multiple personality) thinking because IT'S ALL PANIC! Mars decided that he could either be very good at being still or very good at running. Staring at his tattoo, he chose running.

Mars's tattoo glowed a cobalt blue, with his hand surrounded in cyan, till it enveloped it like a glove. It then bursts to his legs, surrounding them in light, until it melts into them, his legs not covered by it but rather fused with it. And all of this is happening in seconds. Mars crouches for a moment, and then leaps forward, running down the hallway at speeds that are almost unimaginable, had this not already happened with Grace the Big Bro. Mars sped through a blue streak of light, till' it was hard to imagine him even being there.

Krivzee was fighting inside his head, when suddenly it felt as if the sky had been lifted from his shoulders. He opened an eye, surprised that it was easy. He lifted his head to see - 'ZOOM' - ...to see nothing apparently. He stared at what was either the terrorist or a formula 1 racecar left on the ground, speed marks. He looked at the Snoozer, which was apparently panicking. It was the terrorist all right. That terrorist is so DEAD! He pushed himself up, un-holstered his pisto-hook, and prepared to kill the terrorist. At first he was angry for it endangering Guekko, NOW it's personal.

Ignoring everything else, he marched off, following that speeder.

OOC: I completely forgot that possessing Krivzee is going to piss him off. Great. I'm going to end up killing myself.

Guekko 11-10-2009 08:39 PM

OOC: Maybe I should actually post something then. Well, here goes

IC: A Slig guard placed the ticket into his pocket, he not being able to do so himself meant that was the only option to hand. The click of several long black nails striking the metal platform before he hopped aboad a train to take him off. Being now out of a job after his last workplace folded, it had taken him some time to gather up the moolah just to get a train ticket, so hopefully this wasn't a lost cause. Strange looks and hushed mutterings from other passengers, mostly Sligs, onboard were quietly quashed by a stare from a pair of deep-set orange eyes. Coming upon a chair that would be of some comfort, he slid himself into it, placing his hands onto an adjacent chair so they would not be in contact with whatever mess the last passenger sitting here hand left upon the floor. Soon after, the pair of glowing orange eyes closed, there was no need to be awake for the entire journey after all...

Jolted awake by the annoucement of the arrival to his destination, he hopped up, shuffling along the carriage with his awkward gait, hopping off onto the platform and turning around to see the train pull out soon afterward. Not the sort of place that most would want to stay around, given what had happened here before with regards to terrorists. He had kept telling his last company they should be allowed to invest in the invention of a device that stopped bird portals being formed, but did they listen to him? Like they ever did. Why should they have done anyway? He was just a chump, a low class Glukkon that they had kept around because he happened to know what he was doing, unlike the incompetant managers which helped lead the place to its downfall. Still, that was in the past now, so maybe this is the sort of place where he could move on. His uneven gait made the sounds of his nails on the platform seem rather haunting as he made his way to the back of the platform, looking around at the doors nearby, limping his way through a door which landed him right in the middle of a corridor...where his ears picked up on some noise. Given the previous history, what a noise to be greeted by.

MarsMudoken 11-10-2009 08:58 PM

OOC: Well, you've landed in all madness. I assume Guekko hears alarms.

Guekko 11-10-2009 09:07 PM

OOC: That little bit has been fixed now, my bad for forgetting to add that in. Told myself to not forget it but did.

MarsMudoken 11-10-2009 11:43 PM

OOC: waiting on splat.

slig# 5719 11-11-2009 01:11 AM

Flad heard a voice coming from nearby. "Hey, do you hear that?" He asked Anni.

Then he heard the sound of metal hitting the floor behind him. He spun round to find a slig lying on the floor. He heard the voice again. "Oh dear"

"Huh?" Then Flad saw a blue glow coming from a shadow near Anni. He raised his Blunderbust. "FR-" Then suddenly the glow sped away at an unimaginable speed. Appearing as just a streak of light which past the downed slig, leaving a mark on the floor.

"That voice, could it have been a Mud?" Flad thought to himself.

A message bleared through the corridor's speakers; "Warning ! Warning ! Intruder near the Executive Office ! We've got one slig down, one slig down ! All unarmed employees are now required to lay down and wait for further instructions ! To all security guards, deploy yourselves and block every possible retreat. The intruder must not escape."

Flad walked over to the downed slig. "Hey, are you alr-" Then the slig quickly got up and hurried in the direction marked by the speeding native. Completely oblivious of Flad.

He looked back at Anni and the snoozer, noticing a blinking red orb between the snoozer's eyes. "An in-built chant suppressor, nice." He thought.

"I think it would be best to stay here. Who knows what that Mud is capable of, or what it's intentions are." He said to Anni. Flad then hurried in the direction of the other slig following the marks left on the floor. His pants screeching under the sudden change of pace. Some of the lights had smashed. "What a mess" he thought.

EDIT:
OOC:
@ mars: how's that, any better?
I'm not sure what you mean about the "speed marks" part. do you wan't me to put more description in? Put the word speed in front of marks? Or something else altogether?

MarsMudoken 11-11-2009 01:42 AM

one sec editing

Splat 11-11-2009 05:01 AM

ooc: Yes, if Mars had broken the sound barrier then he'd be on fire.
Also, Mars, you can't say that whatever you know, your character must also know; no one else has this ability and I think it easily counts as God-modding. I'll let you off what's happened so far, but watch it in future.
Just because you know something, doesn't mean the character does.
And you character can run fast but saying he broke the sound barrier for no reason is just stupid.
Also, leaving tracks on the ground is also stupid; cars leave marks from the rubber rubbing off of their tyres, but I'm fairly sure Mars doesn't have tyres.

IC:
Grace rolled his eyes, but at least the slig wasn't completely useless. "Well keep you're eyes open," He muttered but before he could say anything else, SU's siren filled the corridor.
"Grhzz," He muttered and yelled at Borso, "Get in the shadows in that side of the corridor and run up; don't let anything get past you! Now come up the corridor; keep pace with me."
He moved towards the other side of the corridor and hurried back towards the snoozer, slower than he normally would to let the other slig keep up.

-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

Anni was just starting to put two and two together and realise that someone might have spoken to her seeking secrecy, which she wasn't helping. "Um," She said to the slig, "Uh, I guess it was nothing; I thought I heard a sound but I don't think it was anything."

Before she could go any further the robot suddenly went crazy and something blue streaked out of the shadows and down the corridor; hoping that this might distract the robot from the paramites for the time being (though feeling slightly sorry for whatever the streak was she yelled, "There is goes! You better get after it!"

If the snoozer ran then she'd go right down to the basement, find Somi and find out what happened.

ooc: Mars, i don't want to nag but your posts have to make sense. Even within the realms of freaky voodoo spirit powers there's only so much that can be done, or the mudokon shamans (shamen?) would just blow up every factory on Mudos with a click of the fingers.

AlexFili 11-11-2009 06:33 AM

IC: Borso followed Grace, and accepted his orders. "Yes Sir!" Borso ran to keep up with Grace and then leapt into the shadows. He aimed for the corridor and kept his position. 'Finally, some real action', he thought to himself.

Jimmy-le-sniper 11-11-2009 06:50 AM

-----IC-----
With his chant suppressor activated, SU-01 now fully had recovered his vision. He quickly aimed for the suspect heat signature, in the shadow but before he could react, an incredible energy was enveloping the target, causing SU-01 HUD to be even less usable. Also, his eyes were turning randomly red, orange or green. He had almost lost control of his own body. He heard a voice behind him, but all of his sensors were going crazy :

"There...goes! ...ter get...er it!"

At the very moment the blue thing came near him and run out of sight, the few remaining control programs crashed. SU-01 started to lost his balance, tried to turn over and grab something to prevent his fall but collapsed on the ground, with a loud metallic noise. The only thing his defective camera could saw was Anni, standing in front of him. An old, organic-being reflex ran through him. He slowly extended one of his shaking arm and grabbed Anni's leg. Something inside him tried to yell "Help me" but the only thing that came out of his speakers was "Energy Critical". He loosened his grip on Anni's leg, not releasing it completely. The last thing he saw after that was the confirmation message that the Autonomous Recovery Module was online. He would be fine after all. In a few minutes, he would be back on track.

MarsMudoken 11-11-2009 09:49 AM

Alright I changed it. Now the speed magic only makes him go fast, and barely faster than a bullet.

MeechMunchie - I realise you're waiting on me, but like I said before I like to let other parts of the RPG flow on too - my lack of posting is sometimes (but not often) on purpose :p

OOC: I'm sorry, :fuzemb: I know what you said about other RPG bits advancing too, but you know... plot developments... exiting... I don't really know why I keep pestering you, since I'm pretty much as clueless as Crunchy about what he's going to do, since the Monsaic Lines are beyond reach (besides, why would I leave? It's called W@RF for a reason :p) and he's pretty much sworn loyalty to this messianic figure of Hembar. He's just your faithful friend now, and he's not going to go away until he falls into a meat grinder... So right now I'm just following you.

Gretin 11-11-2009 12:03 PM

OOC: Don't worry, the tone of that post wasn't meant to be antagonising or anything. But yeah, that's the problem with role-playing animals :p Perhaps you could make another character that's easier to RP as well as Crunchy, so you're not always waiting on me?

Good to see you're listening to people's advice, Mars ;)

Man, Rupture Farms seems to be full of natives! SU-01 only just got one of them out and then he finds another one! :p

I guess I might as well post as Hembar again, since there's not much you can do with Crunchy until we actually get to the factory at least.

IC:

Getting near the shadow of Rupture Farms once again, Hembar made her way around to the holding pens where animals ready to go through the slaughter house were contained. A lone paramite stood in one of the pens, but nowhere could she spot a sign of where their food might be supplied from. She supposed it was probably brought out to the animals by someone in the factory, so this was pretty much a dead end.

Looking at the factory, she suddenly sensed something. Someone in the building was using some sort of spirit power, which must mean... another native? This was worth checking out, at any length. She looked back at the meech, "Well, I guess you're either going to have to come along and stay out of trouble or just stay here."

Yeah right, like either of those things were going to happen.

MarsMudoken 11-11-2009 01:17 PM

OOC: Mars's speed magic is slightly different then most spells. It's no mudokon spell.

Splat 11-11-2009 03:22 PM

IC:
"Piece o' junk," Grace muttered, observing the collapsed snoozer disdainfully. "Vykkers all trying to make new models that work better than the olds, but you put too much thought in a machine and it fries itself." Being a natural leader-type, Grace made himself busy taking command. "I'm gonna try and track this thing down. Hot-shot, whatever your name is," He said, waving to Borso, "Come with me and make yourself useful, "You," He gestured to Flad, "You any good with computers? 'Cus I could use some techie support or something."

He didn't particularly like Borso or trust his ability, but at least he knew he could listen to orders.

Anni meanwhile suddenly found all attention diverted away from her. She pulled her leg free for the root's grip and climbed back carefully over it. She could feel it vibrating slightly, so she guessed it wouldn't be down for long, so she still had to find out what had happened in the basement and warn the paramites that their may be trouble.
Hoping none of the sligs would notice her, she hurried past the snoozer and then ran down the corridor. The fastest way to the basement was through the lab, but she wasn't going through there if she could help it. She hurried towards the lifts.

AlexFili 11-12-2009 12:20 AM

IC: Borso gave a curious look to the inactive snoozer. Borso must have totally concentrated on Grace's orders, since he didn't see Flad until Grace mentioned their name.

He felt like a bit of a fool for not seeing them before, and nodded to them in means of greeting. 'hot-shot?', Borso thought. He liked that nickname, "Yes sir". Borso ran alongside Grace. He gave a last look at Flad before moving on.
