But god fuck I want to know what's going on with lyrium idols and old gods and shit man

Download the DLC 'Legacy', and you get to fight a Tevinter magister who broke into the Golden City! Basically, the first darkspawn.

Bring Anders for lulz.

Also, fuck Fenris.

God damn, I hate that bastard.

Bullet Magnet 08-08-2011 02:07 PM

So it turns out that From Dust is pretty damn fun.

Crashpunk 08-10-2011 03:30 AM

I tired to play Brink from the Free Weekend the other day.

It didn't work on my graphics card..Ffffff

JennyGenesis 08-10-2011 04:07 AM

The Driver San Francisco demo was released today and I'm such a happy boy!!!!

Now that I've had the chance to play it I am more excited :D

It is fantastic and the demo is available for PS3 and Xbox 360.

I have some creative tactics to get rid of the cops, usually I shift shead into a truck or a bus and try to ram the cops head on, but most of the time this fails as the cops always swerve out of your way, another funny tactic was to shift into a Chevrolet C10 Tow Truck and simply slam on the brakes in front of a cop, when the cops hit the back of the truck they are hooked to you so I would simply drive away with them helplessly stuck on the back. Problem is, if you accidently crash into the back of one of these tow trucks you get stuck on the back and you have to wiggle the left thumbstick or analog stick to get your car off again.

I also started playing GTA3 again. I remember how mindblowing this game was when it was first released but now it seems very primative compared to GTA San Andreas.

Dynamithix 08-10-2011 10:27 AM

I tried out the Driver: San Francisco demo. I didn't really like the whole 'shifting' technique and the car controls felt a little too tight. Smooth graphics and nice cutscenes though. I personally won't be getting this.

JennyGenesis 08-10-2011 11:21 AM

What do you mean by too tight?

I know the developers banged on a lot about how long they spent perfecting the "feel" of the cars so you can easily perform crazy drifts like in car chase movies and I personally feel that they have achieved this perfectly, I found the handling very easy to get used to and drifting is so easy to perform. I found that when driving the Audi R8 that the car had lots of grip through the corners whilst at the same time being an excellent drifter.

If you want a car that is awful to drive though see if you can find a Pontiac Trans Am Firebird. It's very rare this car makes an appearance and I got really excited when I saw it but it feels so heavy and slow, it's useless at gripping and can't drift either.

Been playing quite a bit of Mortal Kombat lately, besides the problems with the online, I still really enjoy it. Picked up Cyber Sub Zero as a main and doing pretty well with him.

Also been playing through Halo 3: ODST, I remember liking it more than Reach, but Im playing through again to see if that opinion holds true. Just started it so I really can't say, but I love the fact that it has a hub world, I don't even know why really.

Dynamithix 08-11-2011 10:32 PM

Started a new Mass Effect 1 playthrough and I'm going to go through it on Hardcore difficulty and only use Renegade dialog choices. I've almost never been 'bad' in a videogame so it's about time to try that, hah.

Also, we messed around with JennyGenesis in Saints Row 2 co-op. A few of the activities are literally impossible in solo, so we beat Crowd Control in co-op.

I can't remember who it was but somebody said that Saints Row 2 was not a glitchy game.

If only I recorded me and Dynamithix playing it yesterday, many glitches!

Crashpunk 08-12-2011 02:09 AM

Just started playing though Pokemon Gold

nostalgia...

Dynamithix 08-12-2011 02:10 AM

The sliding problem in Crowd Control is really irritating.

Phylum 08-12-2011 02:48 AM

I've been playing Spiral Knights again. I made my first 3 star armour item today, a Dusker Coat. It's not really much better than the Wolver Coat, but the Ash Tail coat is a worthy upgrade. I need some better gear, though. The only piece of 3 star equipment I have is my new Dusker coat. Everything else is pathetic. I need a much better shield next.

Moi.

Dynamithix 08-12-2011 11:03 AM

Well then you're wrong!

Mac Sirloin 08-12-2011 04:08 PM

Many of the glitches were deliberately left in because they made things fun. Particularly the 'entering cars through the roof' thing.

I'm on my second playthrough of Dead Rising 2. Level 30 at this point, and having lots of fun. I finally beat those two goddamn sluts in the dance club. I hated that fight. I was not satisfied with their deaths. Not until I'm an indestructible monster punching them to death with those flaming boxing gloves will I be appeased.

Dynamithix 08-13-2011 12:26 AM

Yeah, even though it's glitchy only a few of the glitches are annoying. Usually they're pretty funny. Like for example, Jenny drove over me or something and I just went up in the air and when I fell down, it didn't do any damage either.

Ugh, that fight. I gave up on that game because of a multitude of reasons, that being the main one.

I preferred Dead Rising 1. I may give Dead Rising 2 another shot, however, because I first played it at a point in my life where I wasn't exactly that into video games.

Dynamithix 08-13-2011 09:58 AM

I thought it was dumb how you couldn't really find anything to eat in the dance club, only vodka and such that makes you vomit. Was really annoying.

Moi.

You should have seen me and Dynamithix play Saints Row 2 tonight, we tried doing the Sons of Samedi missions,

On the mission "Bonding Experience" Pierce refused to drive for us making the mission quite impossible because it meant that only 1 of us could gun down the helicopters,

We tried to play the mission "Riot Control" and all was going well until the part where you have to protect Pierce as he loads up the truck, for some reason he would load 11/12 crates and then stand there doing nothing making the mission impossible to beat, no matter what we did to Pierce he would not move.

So Saints Row 2 is not a glitchy game is it?

Mac Sirloin 08-13-2011 06:05 PM

Not on the 360 it isn't.

Dynamithix 08-14-2011 05:45 AM

Yes it is, we play on the 360. But it seems that most of the glitches appear on co-op.

Manco 08-14-2011 01:27 PM

Just finished up Limbo. Great game, worth the money.

JennyGenesis 08-14-2011 01:59 PM

Bet you got frustrated at the very end didn't you?

I sure as hell did.

Laser 08-14-2011 02:03 PM

I've been trying to beat my backlog and failing miserably. Last game I played was Mass Effect 1, a game I never got around to playing when it first game out.

Damn its good.

You mean the story finale or the last puzzle?

JennyGenesis 08-14-2011 04:45 PM

The final puzzle, I knew what I had to do, but actually trying to do it was another matter...

Absolutely, that was a complete and utter bitch.

Going through the glass completely made up for it though. My heart was in my mouth the entire time that was happening.

Phylum 08-15-2011 02:53 AM

I've been playing a bit of Machinarium now that I've given up on the VVVVVV speed runs. No deaths, all tokens and no stopping is too much for me.

Machinarium is a really cool game. I like the hint system, because without it I would have Googled a walkthrough by now. I escaped from that jail thing, but I can't figure out how to get out from under the table. I'm missing an obvious item or button somewhere.

JennyGenesis 08-15-2011 03:26 AM

Picked up Stuntman Ignition today, I was rather excited as I totally loved the first game, sadly I am very dissapointed, not only is Suntman Ignition nowhere near as good as the first game but it is not even a good game on its own, it sucks!

Beat GTA3 yesterday so now I'm working on Vice City.

Dynamithix 08-15-2011 09:10 PM

I decided to give BrĂ¼tal Legend another chance and I'm going to beat the game now. To be honest, it is good, but I remember that I was disappointed because how much better the whole game could've been. Meh, it's still pretty enjoyable though.

Crashpunk 08-16-2011 04:21 AM

I'm getting a little bored of PC gaming, I wanna play more mainstream console games such as Fallout, Dead Space 2, RAGE.

I do understand that them games are for PC but my PC is no way good enough to run them.

Dynamithix 08-16-2011 07:14 AM

My Dance Dance Revolution Universe 2 came in the post today and I have to say that I'm enjoying it because it's like working out except... well, very fun. I'm just a beginner at DDR's but I'm getting the hang of it! :p

Mac Sirloin 08-16-2011 07:17 AM

I just got my first 100% A+ world in SMB. It was world 1. Makes me want to play it more, though.

Also, I think I'm going to start playing Gears of War 2 again. I really liked that game, can't remember why I sold it but it was a poor reason.

kapteeni13 08-16-2011 08:17 AM

I started to play Cubosphere :)

It's fan made of PS1 game called Kula World

In Cubosphere you need brains to complete level's :D
In first level's it may look boring but more you advance it's getting annoying harder :)

Include's level editor to make custom level's...

Also im looking for 'fantasy' related games...

JennyGenesis 08-16-2011 08:30 AM

I LOVE KULA WORLD!

I never even knew there was a fan made game of it.

abe619 08-16-2011 08:50 AM

I'm currently playing The remake of resident evil on my wii, and Mass Effect and Bioshock on my pc.

jumper 08-16-2011 02:09 PM

Just finished Crash Bandicoot 3, 105% with platinums in all time trials. I need to start a new project; might go for Metroid Prime.

... although I'm still meaning to speedrun Tombi.

JennyGenesis 08-16-2011 05:15 PM

Metroid Prime, I loved that game!

Shame 2 and 3 were nowhere near as good.

Shit son, I've been playing a ton of horde lately, get some Gold so we can play.

I also might buy Toy Soldiers:Cold War, maybe.
