Uhuhuhuh, you said Plug.
So I meandered into an ice cave, fought a giant wol-nope, died. So I carefully walked into an ice cave, reanimated the corpse so helpfully lying around, had it soften up a giant wolf and then blundered into one of those Dragon word thingies. Didn't even have fus unlocked, yet. Does anyone know where to go to unlock the Animal Friend shout, or do I just have to run into another dragon? |
Every shout must be unlocked with a dragon soul. I have thirty of them kicking around. I don't find many walls.

No $2 Horse Armor DLC this time? Damn you, Bethesda, no way I'm gonna pay you...

WARNING: CONTAINS REALLY F*CKING BIG IMAGES THAT I CAN'T BE ANUSED TO RESIZE
This is my guy. He's semi-aquatic. http://cloud.steampowered.com/ugc/52...DBBB005527D5D/ http://cloud.steampowered.com/ugc/52...51CE160AD24D3/ His hobbies include shooting fire; stealing all of the Jarl's silverware, melting it down and selling the metal to weaponsmiths; and admiring particle effects. http://cloud.steampowered.com/ugc/52...06AAAEDEC5374/ http://cloud.steampowered.com/ugc/52...A4F189681E26D/ Mmm. Also, for gits 'n' shiggles, here's me. http://cloud.steampowered.com/ugc/52...C5A62B47CB233/ The game hasn't grabbed me the way Oblivion did yet, but I'm sure it will soon enough. |

what is this I don't even

So Orks kinda suck. They have low Stamina, no magical affinity and basically just exist to be hit in the face. I started over as a Wood Elf, and have been having a much better time. Going for a sneaky archer build with a little bit of magic. Also decided to play through as straightforwardly as possible for my first run, particularly since I get the shit kicked out of me by just about everything North of Whiterun. I'm pretty sure I want to make a more mage-like/magic oriented character for my next run, but I am not being a stupid High Elf. What race would you guys recommend?
|
Nord.
|
Breton?
|
It really makes no difference. The only permanent effect is the racial bonus and the racial power, which you might never use anyway. Everything else will be irrelevant after an hour or two of play.
|
True. I'm a Destruction mage and I'm an Argonian. A lizard can be whatever he wants in this day and age, I'll have you know.
|
I'm an Argonian Artificer. I can become whatever I like with the gadgets I have created. Technology is the future, unless you're a Dwemer.
|
I don't think anything is your future when you're all piles of ash.
To me, artificing is akin to forging, and forging is a useful byprocess of smelting, and smelting is a perfect tool for disguising stolen metallic goods. And also kind of broken, since I can, like, triple the value of a silver jug just by melting it. Also making lockpicks out of pans. And people say a thief can't be self-sufficient... |
You must be playing the mod where they make junk useful.
|
Oh yeah, I installed a few mods before I even played it. Despite reminding myself not to mention stuff without checking if it's in the vanilla version first, I seem to have done exactly that.
Yeah, I have Val's Crafting Breakdown. It's good, apart from Silver Ingots are too valuable like I said. |
